That's just how coconut and lychee jelly is textured at 27:30 it's made using agar agar instead of gelatin like american jellies. It holds up better and has a bit more crunch n bite than gelatin or starch based gummy things. Gotta hit up any one of the hundreds of boba places in socal to know that's just how it normally is. It's actually kinda wild how many there are around, like they're more common than starbucks out there.
Thank you for reviewing plant based options when you visit restaurants!
I literally just watched the Ordinary Adventures version of this exact same review. I don't go to the Disneyland Resort that often, certainly not as often as I'd like, nor even as often as Tom goes! And when I go there, I may go to DCA once on each trip, and I may eat there maybe once in a while, but I find both your and Ordinary Adventures' review of the EXPERIENCE interesting, especially with the change in the "land". Of course, every time I go to DL, I try to go to Oga's. Oh, if only they had something like that in AdventureLand, maybe associated with Zorro (yeah, a little more than Rancho Zocalo), I'd go. Thanks for your video!
I believe those white chips with the pinwheels are shrimp chips. It's a rice crisp with shrimp flavoring. You can find them in every Japanese grocery store. 🍙🍤
my thoughts as well
How the heck did you guys eat so much in one visit? Oh wait... even even in two visits!
Those pin wheels are crying for some fresh lime and tapatio.
You have me psyched to try this out when we go in December. So many great additions. The QuesaBirria tacos are my favorite.
Not going to lie I laughed-cried when Tom was trying all the super asian stuff and was so unsure of what he was eating! Mostly cause this was stuff I grew up eating in Hawaii and love them and am genuinely wondering how could Disney possibly do them wrong, cause a good chunk of the stuff they served for the Asian items was cheap things you can buy from the asian grocery store at decent quality.
The lychee jelly is more firm but its a pretty common topping option in Asian fruit teas. Chains like Yi Fang for example will have them. I hope tom will give fruit teas more chances tho, you can def get them without the toppings 🙏
I wish Nana was there to review the asian food too, she would have known whats up 😂
I think karaage is usually nuggets, and that’s why they call it “karaage inspired”
Fair
Watching this video with my Partner, who does NOT care about theme park stuff but will be with me next year for a trip to Disneyland….
Video: “… these beans are weird…”
My Partner: (immediately and very excited) “I MUST TRY THEM!”
I can confirm 40:55 gets played at dahlia lounge Eric 😂 amazing video guys! wish I was eating those tacos!🌮
Amazing
Watching you eat the Birria ramen and not putting lime is blasphemous
Lol
Take it easy. He’s from the east coast. It’s like having the “special kid” when it comes to Mexican flavors or any masculinity.
@@mattsolem3875be nicer guys
I would tune in to Eric announce the Weather! xD Always entertaining. Tom glad you preserved the shirt.
I guess I like both yours and Ordinary Adventures is because while I was born in San Diego, I went to college in New Haven, CT. So I'm a Disney kid who thinks both like and West Coast and East Coast person. I love both DL and WDW. Yeah, two years ago, I went to both places in the same year. And considering I live in Eureka, which has few methods to fly out of here, I guess that's a thing.
Of course, in Eureka, we have the Forest Moon Festival in May or June, up in the trees of Endor (ok, the Redwoods), so you should come up here for that sometime. Yeah, yeah, only somewhat Disney-ish.
This was great and I loved the Tony's dig. LOL!
I appreciate your review of DCA food, I'll be there early Sept and WDW mid Sept. Looks like there are some decent choices to be had.🤙
Toms napkin was the real hero.❤ Great reviews!! Tom always totally authentic in opinions. 👏
Appreciate these reviews!
My only good memory of that pier area was way back in the "California" heavy days of DCA, where they had a tortilla factory "tour" (watch a video) but they gave fresh tortillas that were mmm so good. And FYI, street taco "hack" when they overfill so much stuff, just use one of the tortillas and half the toppings on each one, yes it is the same total amount of food but it doubles your taco count which from a psychological side makes it feel like you're eating more or if you have kids that money gets stretched out longer... up until the point that they say they want every souvenir they see.
THE FOOD LOOKS DELICIOUS!
Thanks guys! That was fun! Personal choice Cocina Cucamonga Chicken Tacos with their green salsa! You'll wanna eat 6 of'em! Two will be fine!
BIG HERO 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friendly correction.....It's pronounced
"Meeeech-El-Ada" 😎😁🍺
Horchata is a year-round drink and is supposed to be cold. :) it's actually more popular in the summer.
I understand but most people don’t like dairy in heat
Lol, I love their pinto beans! Gotta be a bean lover I guess. Ty for the taco scale, I only get the quesabirrias (yum!) so it’s good to know about the pork tacos. Also the Lucky Fortune bowls. (Um, yes, gotta use the limes, they are there for a reason my friend 😉)
33:27 No need to worry about breaking the timeline Tom, your in California there are no rich people from a space cruise ship to keep immersed. Wait that closed anyway
Enjoyed these reviews. Helped me make some food decisions for later in the month.
However, as an English person your treatment of the teabag was quite upsetting. 😂
It's pronounced "ME-chay-lah-dah" you're killing me with with "Michalada."
Also. Next time give more time to the jammy ramen egg please and, indeed, thank you.
Wouldn’t change the review
@@WDWNT yeah but it’s helpful to see.
