Great video! I have the hot pink wallet and love it 😄 My husband and I are following Dave Ramsey's baby steps and we use the envelopes system at home also! Paying with cash is they way to go :) Thanks for sharing!!
Love your cash envelope system, very similar to ours. We have a small safe we will keep our extra cash in and it makes me feel so much better knowing it is locked away!
Great system! I keep my sinking funds in online-only bank savings accounts (I did earn about $70 worth of interest on them last year, so that doesn't suck), but the most important thing is to find a system that works! Very pretty too - which always helps for me. Great video!
So I love the idea of keeping my "sinking funds" in my bank account also. But when we opened our bank account a few years ago, I asked the lady about adding additional savings account for that purpose and she gave me a hard time about it! She basically said that I needed to get it approved just to add ONE account! Ugh, anyway I just called and asked someone about adding additional savings accounts and the girl was like "Oh yeah we do that all the time!" So they just added 5 additional accounts for me!! YAAAAAY! So I now get to keep my sinking funds in my online banking!
WHOOOO! I'm so glad I could help! It's nice to be able to login and see how much money is in my sinking funds individually. If I need them, i just transfer the money to my checking and pull it out or use it to pay online, etc.... PLUS online banking of course keeps a record of transactions, so you can look back at the end of the year and see how many times you had to pull from it, etc.
I use the SavvyCents wallet too! But it's just pink, I like yours a lot better. Want to trade? lol. I like the cash box idea, we need a better system/place for where we keep our cash.
We are change savers too BUT I spend my pennies so that we always get just silver back. It adds up a lot faster and pennies take up so much space but they don't add up to much. If I am going to roll change, I want to get the most of the time!

I enjoyed your cash system. I do suggest not using coin star to cash your change in. Most banks will do it for free if you're a customer! Defiantly worth the savings.
+Sarah Jurgenson Thanks so much for watching!! Yeah I have definitly learned my lesson with those coin star machines, they charge like 8%! Its a lot more than I thought, from now on I'll be using the free one at my bank. :-)
I noticed that a lot of people have the savvy cents wallet and then a cash box. I'm seriously thinking of saving up for a cash box. I need shoes for work other wise I'd buy it right now. It seems too work good that way? -- with the cash box? I already have the wallet yay!
I miss your videos. I just ordered this box off Amazon. The picture was like your box but they sent what I assume is an updated version. Are you still using the box?
Hey there! My boys have actually taken over this box and use it to store some of their tiny toys, haha. Hope the one they sent you works just fine! :-)
I love this method! carrying cash makes me nervous, but I'd rather someone steal just my cash for one month rather than have someone get all my info from a hack in today's world. I don't keep money in my checking other than gas anymore and don't carry my credit card because I'm so paranoid about someone getting into my account. I need to get a cash box like that and find your wallet review! :)
+Mama Jenn (Udder Chaos) No question is ever stupid! :-) Dave Ramsey used to sell the stickers on his website, but I have not seen them in awhile. Hopefully he brings them back soon!
I tried using a coupon organizer for my cash envelope system. Was ok until i had a lot of change falling out on the floor at Walmart! I can't afford to buy a Savvycents wallet. any suggestions? thanks for any help.
That sounds like a pain! A lot of people use the accordion style coupon organizers for their cash envelopes, even I started out with one. My suggestion for the change is to carry a separate container or bag for that. For me, anytime I get change for anything I just put it all in one area (I don't try and keep it separate according to which envelope the cash came from). Then I just put all the change in my container at home and cash it in when it gets full. But I think a zip lock bag or little makeup bag should do just fine for a "coin purse". Thanks for watching!

Genius ideas thank you so helpful
We have a jack Daniels bottle for change too! Hilarious!
Love the cash box idea!! Can you make a video to list all your envelopes & sinking funds? How much do yall put in each a month?
Yes ma'am! Thanks for the request!!
My husband is addicted to smashed penny machines. I wish there was a 12 step program for it LOL :P !
+BJ Williams lol
YES SavvyCents!!! I love my wallet!

I totally agree! I had a thought to put the pennies in a separate jar. I want to see ALL SILVER! :-)
Did you get that rug at Ross? I think I have the same one.
You should do a video with planning your monthly budget, like how you come up with your personal money and grocery money.

I asked for A Savvy Cents wallet for an anniversary gift this year! **crosses fingers**

Stupid question- where did you get the "Debt Free and Lovin' It!" Sticker? Did it come with the box?

Your cash box could be easily stolen- not a very good idea-
The box is kept in a safe area that cannot be accessed by anyone except my husband and myself
good idea
