Urie Bronfenbrenner possessed an amazing mind, as we know. Here's a non-academic example. I was in his large lecture class in 1960 or 1961. He had a seating chart which he memorized --- all 350 or so of us. Amazing. BUT he also knew who we were if he saw us on campus! Imagine my tongue-tied response when he said, "Hello, Carolyn!"
