AW MAN, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO LEAVE OUT THE BEST GERMAN FOOD PLACE IN THE CITY AT THE GRAND CENTRAL MARKET CALLED BERLIN CURRYWURST! UNBELIEVABLE, YOU FORGOT ALL ABOUT THAT PLACE. YOU GOTTA TRY THE SAUSAGE HASH BOWL! I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THE PHILIPPINO SPOT THERE. I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO TRY THAT!
The evolution of Filipino food finding a niche in American and even international foodie culture shows a fun aspect to observe but also is a hallmark of cultural pride.
Steve, you are a champion 😊 After sampling the tacos, triple smash burger and pizza you pushed through bravely and sampled a couple of Filipino dishes (that looked outstanding). Great video 👍 You have given all of us a great reason eat downtown.
I used to work in downtown LA 35 years ago and had lunch at Grand Central Market a few times. I don't remember that many dining options back then. I'll definitely need to go back and check these places out. The Filipino place looks delicious!!
Can't wait to visit Grand Central Market again!! What do you do with all the leftover food you have?? Wish you could hand it to me through the screen!! 😋
Love your videos I’m going to have to add some of these places to my list that I have made from your videos I have watched as well as egg slut in grand central when I go to LA in September .
Steve, I wonder if there are interesting food finds on our travels going to Las Vegas?Sometimes we feel like eating midway either Victorville, Baker, Barstow etc…. I know you are very good in discovering food spots. Thank you.
Never knew! I'll check that out just because it's closer and parking! LOL! DTLA is a difficult area to drive around unless you take the subway which I normally do.
Food there is great and they have tons of different choices. Also people need to not take their dogs near food, especially when the dog is uncomfortable 14:26
The food in this episode looks awesome. The Grand Central Market seems to be picking up its game. When did tacos get to $5? I remember when you could get a carnitas taco for $1.50. Kalamansi is a sour citrus.
@@RockstarEater definitely will but I tell you I've been craving that cheeseburger since I saw your video yesterday!!! Thanks for all the amazing places you give out into the world!!
I’m going to be in LA this weekend and I want to check this place out I’m going with the family so where should I park? I notice it’s right next to skid row unfortunately
The best spot in central market is China Cafe. I still remember 20 years ago, their house wonton soup 🍲 with a Mexican beer 🍺 . All those new spots are just new. Central Market has some history.
The pizza looked really good. But for me it was too floppy. I like mine more crispy. I've enjoyed that market. I once took the train from Irvine to that area and hopped on an Uber to take me there
Tacos 1986 (few locations in LA) have in my opinion a good deal. $14-16 for 3 HUGE Tacos or Queso Tacos. They are HUGE abd delicious. Anytime i land i must get that on my first day. Please try the Auga de Jamaica cause it is legit!
Is that expensive? I don't eat too many tacos but I think some places near me charge $9 to $12 for regular taco that is just regular size. Three for $22 doesn't seem bad.
What is your favorite food spot at Grand Central Market?
Thanks for watching! Please also click THANKS to support this channel!
Love that place

Born and Raised around the way in Pasadena Ca. Grand Central Market is the spot 💯🫶🏾😊 Foodie Dream Market. Living in Vegas now. My home state.

That burger looked insane.

Tacos are to expensive and that bowl 18 buxs crazy
Very good..nice 👍👍💕💕
oh man, you missed out on the sisig. order that one next time around. sisig is divine! championed by the late Anthony Bourdain.
You really are a rockstar 💪🏼✌🏻 0:04
Try the Sisig. When you go get filipino food, try the sisig. That's the late Anthony Bourdain's favorite filipino dish.
Great video👍
My favorite place is across the street, Ross Cutlery. Drop off my kitchen and pocket knives, then head over for some lunch.
I used to live above that market. My unit smelled like burritos, bbq, chinese food, donuts, you name it……altogether it was gross to smell 😂
😂😂😂
that place used to be a place to eat good affordable food prices seem crazy high now
Yes. Proceed with caution
@@RockstarEater definitely will but I tell you I've been craving that cheeseburger since I saw your video yesterday!!!

Nice thin crust with a toasty 6:39 bottom
You sure can eat!

2:23 is this love, that I’m feeling 😂😂
12:11 You should have eaten the buko pie by holding it and biting directly. Quite different from forking a little piece.
One of the best things at the market is the papusas at Saritas. They are one of the older stands at the market and for me, still one of the best!
The best spot in central market is China Cafe. I still remember 20 years ago, their house wonton soup 🍲 with a Mexican beer 🍺 . All those new spots are just new. Central Market has some history.
Great to know
We come from China to try American food 😂
LA 5 dollar taco.
Geez that's insane. I know food truck ins Houston trying to do the same.
Rather just eat at home
God bless your appetite mate😂
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍

Gentrification prices friend
It’s cool cause as you’re waiting to order they just give you free tacos. Seriously!
The Beef Panang is really good at Sticky Rice
Gotta try it next time
mark wiens and mikey chen had a kid!
❤
wow, you ate a lot. was that all shot in 1 day??
yummy
The pizza looked really good. But for me it was too floppy. I like mine more crispy. I've enjoyed that market. I once took the train from Irvine to that area and hopped on an Uber to take me there
And then we'll go here for brick oven cooked pizza
YIKES $22 for four tacos?? It doesnt even look big.
Yes. Proceed with caution
The tacos are big,,i took some friends there,,and when they notice how big the tacos are,,they only order one,,they come with alot of meat,,,

Way too pricey for what you get. Hard pass because I can great tacos closer to home for 1/4 the price and 1/8 the price on Tuesdays..
Halo- Halo means mix-mix in English . Bec you have to mix it all up before digging in lol
Bento Ya
Currywurst
Donut Man
Sticky Rice 👌
Good suggestions
Those tacos looked dry even tbe birria
Tourist trap now. Quite pricey for average type food
LOVE YOU LA❤❤❤❤
Please continue to follow my channel to see other great food videos!
Too expensive for what you get. You can probably get better food elsewhere, so I wouldn't go for the food but just for the experience.
4 tacos for over 20 bucks and they looked dry and u couldn't swallow the meat 😂
11:12 Eggplant omelette has too much garnish.
hhhh
:)
Inflation is real!
One of the most overrated places in LA. That first Mexican place has giant tortas when you’re hungry.
filipino restaurants ALWAYS skimp on the portions of meat… (I’m Filipino)
Yikes
I tried the one at Grand Central Market and it wasnt very good
17 dollar burger???
:(
overpriced like a mf
