ya sounds good i like the Night fishing ! used to stay out a lot but getting to old for that cant keep from falling asleep ( 78 Years Old now ) and the Mosquitoes are terrible🥵
Find around 4 feet of water in close to the willows and set your bait at about 3 feet I use uncooked Prons for Bait good luck ill be up at Brownlee in October
Just got back and as you can see in the newest video i Posted after the Catfish video.will try and return after the water gets wormed up and the storms are finished.What a year! probable go back in September if the Gas stabilize.
@@Alvoserme Agreed. I am thinking I will try about 8ft-10ft this year with our bigger 20ft boat. We are typically about 5ft in previous years. As I recall, it's best to follow the channel that is middle and right a bit. Thinking about anchoring and staying over night...that will be a new experience! Less wind in the flats etc.
Going over to to BrownLee this year on the 6th of March a little to early for the Catfish but hoping the Crappie will be biting. Been going in June but the water the last couple of years has been going up and down so much it puts the Crappie off ? Getting good reports that March is not bad .? The Idaho Water people aren't fluctuating the Levels as much this time of year. Good luck this year on the catfish. Al
I am 79 years old been fishing it all my life Long before any Parks _ There has always been a Mercury Warning if you over indulge on the Cats and Crappie. The worst time for the health warning is from mid summer into fall when the river is low and no current. Spring time is the best time lots of water flowing and the BrownLee is full pool . I hate to think of how many crappie I have eaten over all the Years fishing the river. I get blood work done every 3 months and no mention of my liver or kidneys or any other parts affected by eating the Fish. Go and enjoy the river and the Great fishing . If you have a wife that's Pregnant or you have Liver problems I would be Careful how much you eat . I am not a Doctor this is just my opinion from fishing it for so many years.
When your heading to the Park from Richland you will see the first big body of water to your Right just before you get to the Park that's the Flats. Tips up👍

Do you set your depth so that your bait is laying on the ground using a bobber? That looks fun!

i've fished the flats a few times...always so nervous about how shallow it gets quickly! How deep were you?
Mostly Mud in the Flats its the Grass thats the Problem and i try to stay in about 4 feet by the willows
