Hi Cuchi, thank you! I would say the Soul is closest to the Kanga. It is always available to order, however it has been retired from the active model line. Probably to keep the sheer number of offerings from getting too huge. I did a comparison session with my much loved Soul 8'11 and some of my newer shapes and decided that they did the same job, but did it better. The SP25, Flow V2 and ONE are all very different from the Soul SP25 is an amazing small wave groveler. Wider tail with more volume and quick release tail shape makes it fast on take off and super snappy. ONE is a low rockered board designed as an allarounder. Realy fun and paddles well but lacks the high performance of the others. Flow V2 is a step rail design that is performance oriented, but IMO... lacks the stability of others in similar size. My jury is still out on the Flow V2... it has been evasive and hard for me to connect with it completely.
Hey Rick, what is Sunova saying the differences between paulownia vs the balsa constructions of the Generation boards? Was trying to research a little and it says paulownia has a higher strength to weight ration than balsa. Some articles mention that balsa make sucks up more epoxy than paulownia, so was wondering if the finished weights of boards would be similar to balsa?
Hi Brian, My TR3's are lighter than my balsa's..... but.... the new TR3 will have Carbon Rails, which may or may not be the same weight as the XXX Balsa tec. The Shroom is a very interesting and cool board, but it is for particular conditions and riders. I am always happy to talk Shroom with people, but with so many cool boards to ride, I don't get the Shroom out as much as I should... so it's been a while since I got any video on it.
