Like any profession, it just takes lots of study and years of hard work to become as proficient as Andrew is today. I know that is difficult for many young people to understand but there are no gifts, natural talents, or "affinities" involved. It's like a computer programmer, he was not born to write code, but he took courses, worked, and learned how, and eventually became so good at it that it was "like oxygen to him"; he had to have it to keep living. Hi Andrew i have been watching your videos for years, you are truly amazing, incredible. This is the first time i have ever commented, it's because of the subject matter. Your pets are beautiful. My pets have been the love of my life and i lost one of my pets recently. Her name was Ebi, a ragdoll cat. She was my best friend, we were always together. She was 17 years and 5 months. My grief has been intense and to help me get through it i have been doing lots of little sketches of her, now i am going to do an oil painting. So i came here to see how you lovingly honoured your pets in oil. I love all animals, everywhere and in all places, i constantly draw and paint them because they suffer so much at the hands of humans and drawing them helps and soothes my aching heart. Thankyou for this beautiful portrait Andrew, because you didn't get bogged down with trying to paint lots of individual hairs, that's always been a problem for me, so now i feel like i can do justice to the painting of the love of my life. I now have another pet, another cat, a rescue cat and she's delightful, they just want to be with us and interact with us, i think it's lovely that your cat wants to be with you and have her say in your art.😂.
