I’m really shite at tekken, but always loved the story since I was a kid; I find your videos interesting and you’re a good player :)
I’m glad I’m not the only one. It’s my favorite game series and I thoroughly enjoy the story of it along with the many offline modes. But I’m trash at it. I have to go to Soul Calibur’s Heihachi and Devil Jin just to be any good because of the difference in mechanics.
After revisiting tekken 4,5, and 6 you should do a tier list ( of your opinions) for every character. It would be nice to see how they changed after the years compared to tekken 7.
Darren Gonzalez easy explanation it means Frames. Frames is the Time it takes for a move to release. If your positive you have an advantage over the enemy. For example if your +2 frames from a move on block. if you and your opponent would both do a 10 frame move at the same time your move would come out 2 frames faster. If your negative your vulnerable. If a move leaves you -12 then a move 12 frames or less can hurt you before you get the chance to guard

Have you ever thought about making a schedule for your uploads? I think you could pull a lot more views if it was consistent maybe a vid every day/every other day at the same time vs multiple at once on a random day

Fun fact: Both Jin's and DJ's d1 for some reason will 90% hit the CPU regardless of Difficulty. You can quickly follow up with a guaranteed scissors kicks or for DJ case's, the CPU will eat a FULL FLYING LASER. Like I said, even on Ultra Hard Tekken God, it will rarely block the d1.

DR didn't have anyone truly busted though, unlike 5.0. Mishimas were top in DR, but perfectly fair compared to 5.0's SNBF.

The mixup for DJ was actually hellsweep and b+1 parting wave. The parting wave linked into a slow CD wgf (b+1~df+2) which was GUARANTEED. The b+1 alone was safe, and you could hit confirm it into the wgf. The parting wave was removed in T5DR, and for good reason. If TMM actually played T5 back then, he would've known this. People were complaining about it like crazy back then.
Also a techroll catch, people were fucked up by his special mid ewgf in tag1 and then they gave him a even easier to do techroll catch, classic namco.
@@cank2111 that ewgf techroll catch was hard to do in Tag1, and looked awesome. I agree Namco keeps dumbing down their games. Hopefully it doesn't get worse with Tekken 8.
@@holden6104 yeah i liked the concept of techroll catch but i guess it isnt spectator friendly when someone just stays on the ground.Ragearts, slowmos and ch zoomins look cool but doesnt add much to the depth. Guess thats the future of fighting games.
And yeah the special mid ewgf is hard and looks sick af, heihachi could also do it but since he couldnt dash ewgf it only worked after a specific combo, tag 1 is just a sick game if you play mishimas.
I hope tekken 3 and tt1 jin will be playable in tekken tag tournament 3

Many people deserve to hear about 6.0 Lei, 6.0 Kazuya, and especially 6.0 Bob with his df+2 launcher on normal hit.
Unless Mainman has his own T6.0 arcade cabinet, then no lol.
Personally I’ve always wished Namco just ported T6.0 to console in 2008 and offered the BR content/re-balancing later as DLC. It would’ve been far easier to explore both versions that way.

I can just imagine respecting Dj at round start, eating a hellsweep because of it. Guessing the wake-up 50/50 wrong and getting hit with a ws2, a 100 damage wall combo and ultimately losing the round in around 5 seconds total

@Tcb bct I destroyed that mode with ease, and I still thought the mode sucked myself, too. It wasn't handled well at all, especially with the exploits.
@Tcb bct No, in fact, I played it on Hard. Sure, it was unique, but the problem with Devil Within was that a certain move granted you iFrames, essentially making the game a joke unless you fucked it up. And even then, Tekken Force allowed you to do more moves, which is always more fun. So I can't really say that it was the best side game in Tekken, the puzzles weren't hard either.
@Tcb bct I know I can, but I don't like hellsweeps nor electrics. It didn't increase my enjoyment even with such power.

@@mrego886 yeah he looks sick. Probably suits Tekken 8 more than 7 as the movement is stronger and he can enforce 50/50s more consistently with heat. Hope he gets Tekken 5 costume and gets some slight additions and changes to his tool kit as Tekken 7 DJ is kinda boring with just electrics and 50/50s and the same 5-8 moves especially with the nerfed movement. Also like how everything doesn't counter hit launch in 8 so DJ might return to top tier with actual fundamental Tekken.
