I love how the GT40 looks like the perfect mix between a Le Mans racer and an ordinary supercar. If you look at the other cars the GT40 raced, they look like a full blown race car.
My wife hates this paint livery, but I can't imagine anything more iconic. Especially on a beautiful GT40--another perfect Superformance continuation of an American classic.
I saw and heard a bunch of GT40s racing at the Goodwood Revival in 2016, and immensely enjoyed seeing FordvFerrari. It's pleasing to know that these wonderful cars are still being built.
Im a huge fan of the whole Lemans story with Ford winning and taking first second and third place . This is the part of me that loves these cars . Im a slot car collector and i actually have the 3 Gulf cars . Im sure it took a couple of days to get over that ...im speechless from the video !!! Thanks !!!!

Worked on Porsche for some years (12??) back in the late 80's and 90's. One thing I loved about them ( and I loved many, many things about them ) Was that they did not have power brakes or power steering. When people asked me about it I would always say "you can run over a dime and tell if it's heads or tails". We serviced a few race cars and they were, as he said, visceral. Loud, in your face, tight and mechanical. Good times but my dream car is a GT40 with an FE big block 427 side oiler.
This is the number one car ever. It has a motor with muscles, so a muscle car! Well I know what the concept of muscle car stands for but what the hell watch the video and enjoy instead. For me, this is the ultimate car EVERYTHING else comes after. If I had the money to buy a Koeningsegg I would still buy a GT40 !!! Although I only live 50 miles from the Koeningsegg factory
They are incredible! I’ve now driven 2 of their GT40’s, 1 427 Cobra and their Lingenfelter LT4 powered Grand Sport Corvette. Every one of those are amazing drives
I am a 60`s Ferrari race car nut... However in my fantasy garage the first car in there will be the Mk1 GT40... Utterly wonderful.. You lucky luck man. And thanks to Superformance it could be a reality.

I'm 75 now and i can remember going to Silverstone in the 60s i was in my 20s with a friend who was a TV camera rigger and having a pit pass. We spent all day moving around the track and watching the racing i can remember the GT40's lapping all the other cars and flashing the Porsche's to move over so they could pass it was brilliant. i wanted so much to drive one my dad asked why i had a large picture of a car on my bedroom wall and i had to explain to him that this was no ordinary race car this was a FORD GT 40 nope still don't get it. oh well i guess there are just some things you cant explain they either get it or they don't i fell in love with the car on that day it was my 4 wheeled hero. I had a highly tuned 63 mk1 Cortina at the time [tuned by me] which i used to blatt around in [well at least it was a Ford] and i actually touched a GT40 once at a car show these cars are legend and deserve to be so. Watching this vid brought back all those wonderful memory's thank you guys OH by the way i have a 66 MK1 Ford Cortina tucked away in my garage I guess we just never grow up!

The originals were built just a few miles from where I lived as a teenager. I saw one identical to this up close and personal at the local Lucas agents, and another tooling down the high street one Saturday morning! Took my girlfriend to Le Mans on a coach to watch them but just missed the winning years :( Great times nevertheless! Thanks for the video, to buy a new one today is the stuff of dreams.
Ferrari had nothing on the GT40. The original Ferrari killer! If I had an extra 2-5 million bucks bumping around, the GT40 is the only car I’d spend it on. And I’m not even a Ford guy. Mine would be that powder blue/orange gulf paint scheme too. Beautiful! Most bad ass car ever made. Thanks for the video.

I've always been a Chevy guy and not a fan of light blue paint on a car. But this car...with the history behind it and everything, would be my ultimate CAR! The Ford GT 40 in any color is the most beautiful car there is. I'd give my eye teeth for one. I had one as a kid but it was only about 2 inches long on a electric track, I think they were called model motoring? Great job, great video, you got me drooling.

Got to say, ford gt is one of my favorite cars because of the power, and i like it because it used to be a race car against ferreri, renalt and other cars. I think they made this car because ferrari made fun of their older cars before ford gt was made and ford just said just wait until we make a car that can beat your ferrari. Just one of the best cars that i should have.

As much as I like the GT 40, I really love the Brock built Daytonas! Sure there's only maybe 5 originally built back in um 64 i think, but these are sweet too. Wow,what a great idea for a company! Would they consider making a Daytona model in the future too? Having the shifter on the left in right hand drives doesn't take long atall to get acclimated to,granted it is a tad funky initially,but after 10 minutes driving,it becomes 2nd nature,in my experience.Thanks again Shaun & guys. ▪☆☆☆¤
Do you know if there are issues with buying and bringing one of your cars North across the 49th? Purchasing a completed car and getting it across the border without having huge duty amounts slapped onto the importation...? I'd love one of your cars, but I'm not sure what Canada thinks of this with taxation and duty.
Every state does if differently. Some states will title the car by what it replicates, so 196X Ford and some title it as a new "Specially Constructed Vehicle." Varies from state to state but can be registered legally in all 50 states.
I’m gonna have to talk to this guy someday, love classic cars over modern any day, this and the Shelby cobra 😍..gonna have to see if he can build a 427 cobra for a disabled guy needing adaptive driving control and by law power steering

This car may actually topple the F40 as being my ultimate dream car. Both have V8s and are raw, pure driving machines, but one costs about a million dollars more. I think it'd be really cool if someone out there had this same idea for all the classic Ferraris that people love, but I imagine that Tipo engines will be a lot harder to come by.

Agreed that it would add cost to the car to add it modern electronics, however we choose not to add these to keep the experience as close to the original car as possible. We have done some of our cars for overseas customers with things like traction control, ABS, etc.
@@USandGlobal No, he's right. The GT40 was more British than American. It was based on the Lola Mk6 and mostly engineered by Ford of Britain. By bar the most American thing about the car was the engine. You're also right, though. It is a Ford.

It is beautiful i am really waiting for the second car a bit of a car. In honesty most companies that don't have any modern car assists its usually because they can't afford to put any in. But i will give them the benefit of the doubt
Agreed that it would add cost to the car to add it modern electronics, however we choose not to add these to keep the experience as close to the original car as possible. We have done some of our cars for overseas customers with things like traction control, ABS, etc.

@@USandGlobal No, he's right. The GT40 was more British than American. It was based on the Lola Mk6 and mostly engineered by Ford of Britain. By bar the most American thing about the car was the engine. You're also right, though. It is a Ford.
