Something popped in my knee I believe it is the LCL I bought a brace you told me. I don’t have an MRI till 12/26. I just don’t know what to do. I’m going to leave the leg straight like you said. Thank you
hey dude. I think I just did the same thing. hard turn in hockey and I had a distinctive loud popping feeling in my knee, sharp pain instantly but then oddly like 5 minutes later it didn't really hurt. woke up this morning and very stiff and painful. did you have bruising or swelling?
@@timmywilliams9838 it was swelling and painful the first night. It went away. If I moved in certain motions I would agitate it. I got an MRI they said it was a tear. They haven’t told me what grade yet. I’ve been moving around and working out now. It seems to be back to 80-90%. I watched a lot of videos and they actually said don’t wear a brace. You wanna keep it moving or else it will harden. I’m not a doctor. I’d also check out knees over toes.
@@PokemonRed-v87hmmm okay... im waiting on an appt for my physio... mine didn't bruise, slight swelling and painful... I just don't understand with the amount of force in the pop that I felt how it couldn't be not torn.... did they say that it should heal on its own for you?
@@timmywilliams9838so the pop could be built up pressure or the lc ligament tearing. Naturally blood doesn’t go to ligaments often so it doesn’t really heal. It’s more like the other ligaments compensate. I’m not a doctor. But I’ve started taking peptides. BPC157 and TB500. It has helped me recover.
Hi there great video and thank you so much for providng content on this Would you recommend a knee brace for a grade one tear? it happened 5 days ago very minor pain when walking there is just some tightness and instabilty on the left side of my left knee.
Not usually - the only time I would use it for a grade 1 is if you have to walk on really uneven ground or be super active or have animals around that bump into you. But if you can move slowly and with care, then I would not use it.
I hv meniscus and LCL injury since 3 months , my latest report shows its only an lcl sprain now, however still cant walk its painfull, what exercises and brace should i use also what position of leg should i keep it pains more in fully extended leg..

So true about the movement when sleeping as I've unconsciously moved my leg and WOWWWW that's pain right there!
Thanks for sharing!

You need to ask your physio - we can't answer this without assessing you - there is no one-size-fits-all advice for this.
Thanks 🙏
You’re welcome 😊

As your physio - we can't tell what you can do without assessing you and taking a comprehensive history etc.
