If you're going that far might as well replace the thermal paste of the APU and maybe the ram modules...or if you're feeling real crazy put some liquid metal on that baby. Might lower the fan noise just by having better passive cooling transfer.
is the fan bearing easy to access in terms of putting oil into it? my fan makes a rattling sound which indicates dried bearing.. I know cos it is similar sound on my pc case fan which I fixed by putting oil into it.
I know this is a noob question, but doesn't the PS4 Pro come with a Delta fan? I never saw where you listed specifically which models you're using, and I'm not seeing either of those 2 brand names on the Amazon links provided.
Gonna ask a question, sorry for my english its horrible. My ps4 pro is too loud when i play games like Raibow Six Siege. Too loud. I cleaned it, changed the thermal paste, now i have an Arctic Mx 4, my fan is Nidec, a little better than Delta. I changed a lot of settings like disabling sound and music on main menu, ps4 theme is a screenshot and so on. Rebuilt database 2 times already. Is there something else i can do? This very loud noise happens with Rainbow Six only and reinstalled the game too.

Hey thanks for the great video! I wanted to ask you how to fix my PS4 pro crashing while playing God of war (not any other game including horizon zero Dawn), even after replacing my thermal paste to Arctic silver? It's been only 5 months I've had my console
5 months? And you open your console rather than sending it to warranty? When in warranty never open it! It might be some manufacturer problem for eg. Not saying it is (or was) your case, because it's happening with only one game, but we never know. Crashing can be many things. For eg corrupt file system of that particular game, corrupt database or HDD sectors and so on... What i would have done before opening the system (open it if wasn't in warranty) was delete all the data from the game, reinstall the game data (inc updates) and test it out. If nothing changed, i would restore the file system, rebuild database. If it didn't help, i finally would try other HDD (cause i don't want to lose the files from the original HDD (before backing up everything) so i don't format it) and see what happens. If all this didn't help or changed anything i would've contact the support from $ony.
I thought it was the Nidec that was supposed to be better.. Because the Delta is the one that makes the high-pitched, annoying, jet-engine like sound. The Nidec, less so.

Hi, sir I have lots of power cut problem in our area, can that make any harm to my ps4 slim if it does what could be the problem please let me know sir thank you
It can harm in the long term. Meaning the power cicles (on and off) of the system. For now, what it can happen is your HDD getting corrupt (file system or database and even bad sectors). Get some protections for your system (well, not only for your PS4 but others eletronics, like recommended on previous post) some power surge protectors and for main eletronics some UPS if your area has that many power cuts.
I dont have any problem with the ps4 pro's fan noise, all i think about is how to help keep the system a lil bit cooler. Your attention and focus is in the game itself not the console noise lol but if it bothers you people that much, you can always wear a gaming headset or turn the volume up. i have a question is it advisable to mod this console's cooling system like turn em into liquid cooled beasts?

It never tells me what the error is. I'm getting tired of this before I spend money on a part I may not need. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.
I have had 2 ps4pros and both sounded like vacuum cleaners, as loud or louder then my launch ps4 I was so happy when Microsoft launched the one x, more powerful and super quiet, now if I could only get uncharted and horizon on my quiet console 🤔
Is it an older CUH-7016B or 7116B? I'm looking for the difference between those two versions but couldn't find it. No infos about the newer 7116B. PS: The PSU on European versions seems to be 230VAC Only....
Output yes, Input no. The Spec on my PS4 PRO above the Power Input it says 220-240V ~1,5-1,35A 50/60Hz. Sony seem to like it this way, as both my PS3 (Slim + Super Slim) also are specified for 220-240VAC.
Actually, yes, you can plug it into a 220 wall outlet or a 110 wall outlet and it will work either way. Google it. It doesn't matter what the power supply says.
The US Model, yes. The Euro model I doubt it. If it works, it won't for long. Because its PFC Stage will be overloaded and either the PFC Coil burn or the PFC Diode or MOSFETs Burn. Not a good idea.
My pros fan makes a ticking noise, you can clearly hear it coming from the bottom left corner..? This is the second pro I’ve had as the one before kept locking up launching games so sent it back and they sent me this one, dosnt crash but the fan has a clicking noise which gets louder under load and stops when I exit games ? If you're going that far might as well replace the thermal paste of the APU and maybe the ram modules...or if you're feeling real crazy put some liquid metal on that baby. Might lower the fan noise just by having better passive cooling transfer.
The thermal paste had already been replaced not long ago and was nice and wet still.
Hey I have a question. What cooling fan does the ps4 pro 7100 series use? I've tried googling it but that does not give any answers.
Wait aren’t you supposed to change termal paste if you ever remove the fan or whatever is covered with in a console?
Not necessarily
THIS IS A MUSIC VIDEO!!!

is the fan bearing easy to access in terms of putting oil into it?
my fan makes a rattling sound which indicates dried bearing..
I know cos it is similar sound on my pc case fan which I fixed by putting oil into it.
Ive had my pro since day one never been that loud not as loud as the og ps4 if you worried about it just get a good headset ..
I got the god of war pro and I swear it's louder than my old ps4 cuh-1215a.
Well the 1215 was very silent.
I know this is a noob question, but doesn't the PS4 Pro come with a Delta fan? I never saw where you listed specifically which models you're using, and I'm not seeing either of those 2 brand names on the Amazon links provided.
A good project, but not worth it.
was that sweet home alabama?

Gonna ask a question, sorry for my english its horrible. My ps4 pro is too loud when i play games like Raibow Six Siege. Too loud. I cleaned it, changed the thermal paste, now i have an Arctic Mx 4, my fan is Nidec, a little better than Delta. I changed a lot of settings like disabling sound and music on main menu, ps4 theme is a screenshot and so on. Rebuilt database 2 times already. Is there something else i can do? This very loud noise happens with Rainbow Six only and reinstalled the game too.
Did he not clean off the heat spreader and reapply thermal paste? SMH
will he answer me? does ps4 pro fan supposed to spin at all times? cause mine spins high them goes off for 10 seconds and goes high jet speed again, seems to not have a low or normal speed?
How to test fan or turn it on out from ps4? My fan is off and i buy new one. But it still off.
Самый прикол, я был владельцем 7208 и она была как реактивный самолёт, даже в магазине пс.
Сейчас купил прошку , версия 7008 в десять раз тише!!!!! Правда тут термопасту меняли год назад. Но разница колоссальная!!!
Hey thanks for the great video!
I wanted to ask you how to fix my PS4 pro crashing while playing God of war (not any other game including horizon zero Dawn), even after replacing my thermal paste to Arctic silver?
It's been only 5 months I've had my console
What do you mean by "crashing"?
Try to rebuild database on safemode
Maybe see if there’s re different frequency output. Wide variety of frequencies give less of annoying pitch compare to one frequency.
There could be
i heard Nidec fan better and low noise than Delta otherwise with your review. So which one is really better ?
is nidec the one in the newer quieter ps4 pro?
I thought it was the Nidec that was supposed to be better.. Because the Delta is the one that makes the high-pitched, annoying, jet-engine like sound. The Nidec, less so.
I just tested them and showed the results I found.
@@Tronicsfix Yup, can confirm. Finally got around to switching out my Delta for a Nidec, and the annoying high pitched whine is gone, not just lessened, gone!!
Nice vid ... BTW, anybody knows if the last PS4 Pro - 7200 Series - comes with a Delta or a Nidec Fan?
due to the test, seems that nidec fan has lower temp.... or maybe i'm wrong?
when i play mass effect, doom and final fantasy XV on my ps4 pro 7016B, the cooler accelerates in 10 seconds, but when i play thief it is silent, the cooler and PS are clean no dirt, when i close one of the 3 games the cooler comes back to normal immediately, this is normal? need help. 1080P resolution
Unfortunately, yes...that's normal.
+TronicsFix LLC does that not shorten the life span?
No way to know but as far as I know it doesn't
+TronicsFix LLC
thank you very much, I can only play and ignore the noise, I really like your channel, when we teach others every day we develop our experience, keep it up and being a good person, I will try to buy a powerful cooling pad maybe it will help.
Great video, REAL TEST not just talking and guessing
Hi, sir I have lots of power cut problem in our area, can that make any harm to my ps4 slim if it does what could be the problem please let me know sir thank you
Sheikh Ghouse the most you can do is use a surge protector.
Get a power backup generator
wouldn't the fact that he tampered with thermal paste from the first fan to broken its first attachment to add the new fan, change the results?
No...it was fresh thermal paste that I had already replaced before I shot this video.
ok. thanks.
Is it ok to have a outer fan blow on the PS4
I dont have any problem with the ps4 pro's fan noise, all i think about is how to help keep the system a lil bit cooler. Your attention and focus is in the game itself not the console noise lol but if it bothers you people that much, you can always wear a gaming headset or turn the volume up.
i have a question is it advisable to mod this console's cooling system like turn em into liquid cooled beasts?
Sure...mod away but just know that it's an extremely difficult, expensive and time consuming endeavor. Linus Tech Tips did a video on it if you're curious. Not worth it in my opinion.
TronicsFix i see... just thought a bout it, wanted to have a lil hone project o mine lol but yea ill try to check the video out an see if it fuels my interest and curiosity if not, then ill stick to your opinion. Thanks man!
Mx artic silver grizzly pads would be a idea or just water cooling 😁
Hey Steve!! Any video review about metallic / grind noise of ps4 pro fans ?
No, sorry.
TronicsFix ok. But have you any knowledge about That? Thank you.
@@Tronicsfix Oh I wish someone, somewhere knew how to fix this problem. It's bewildering that so many people have reported it but nobody has a fix.
how to cooling ps4 slim ? when your room is not air-conditioned
Temperaturę is difrent bicouse you Don t take a New pasta
cute ending ... lol
I dont care about fan noise, what bothers me is if its doing its job, I dont want my ps4 pro to blow up :/
Yes, they both do their jobs.
TronicsFix LLC Thanks, knowing that eases my mind lol :)
The two fans have different airflow or is only the sound different?
@TronicsFix Are you guys capable of fixing a YLOD FAT PS3? (Backwards compatible model)
Sorry, we only work on the newer consoles.
im having problems with my Ps4 controller (CUH-ZTC1) flashing yellow/orange upon charging, its blinking fast and not the normal charging animation (slowly fading orange).. is the battery dead of the charging port? or something else? it still works but not charging too wel, battery is always low level
Most likely needs a new battery but no way for me to know for sure.
Thnx for the fast reply
You were right, I grabbed the controller of my brother opened it removed the battery and put it in my controller and everything worked fine so ordered a new battery, Thnx again buddy
At the last was funny
Ha, ha...glad you liked that part!
TronicsFix hahaha
My ps4 pro gets hot when playing for an hour or so, especially at the top and I don't like it at all.
What should I do?
Nothing...there isn't much you can do. It's normal for them to get hot.
consoles of this gen are very powerful but with all that power comes alot of heat, next gen will probably be even hotter and louder so better start getting used to it
It's perfectly normal for the Pro to get quite hot on top. Don't worry about it. If it's not shutting down, it's not overheating.
Raj Ghosh Why don't you like it? It's normal for it to get hot. All of my PlayStations get pretty hot. My Fat PS3, PS3 Slim, PS4, and my PS4 Pro. Also the Nintendo Switch gets really hot too.
I need help. I've replaced the thermal paste in my PS4 Pro last Sunday and it's a lot quieter. My problem is that it still crashes to a blue screen telling me there's an error. It never tells me what the error is. I'm getting tired of this before I spend money on a part I may not need. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you.
hdd
I have had 2 ps4pros and both sounded like vacuum cleaners, as loud or louder then my launch ps4
I was so happy when Microsoft launched the one x, more powerful and super quiet, now if I could only get uncharted and horizon on my quiet console 🤔
Is it an older CUH-7016B or 7116B? I'm looking for the difference between those two versions but couldn't find it. No infos about the newer 7116B.
PS: The PSU on European versions seems to be 230VAC Only....
ALL PS4's are dual voltage
Not a good idea.
which fan is the newer one in the ps4 pro?
and which one is the expose fin one?
They tell you in the vid
My pros fan makes a ticking noise, you can clearly hear it coming from the bottom left corner..? This is the second pro I’ve had as the one before kept locking up launching games so sent it back and they sent me this one, dosnt crash but the fan has a clicking noise which gets louder under load and stops when I exit games ?
Any ideas anyone ?
Bottom left corner is where the hard drive is. That could make a ticking noise
My PS4 had a Ring on top of the fan blade, which is a Delta?
Delta has 12 little rectangles in the ring and nidec just 8
Can you do this with the PS5 seeing as it uses different fans.
