My goodness, the commentator read Rudisha's name wrongly as ABDUL kaki the world record holder and champion... Kaki already dropped out after 1 round...
I was 48 years old when David ran that World Record-breaking 800 metre race in the 2012 London Olympics. It made me want to go back to running and see what I could do. I never did, of course, but after seeing it tonight (May 12, 2023, I'm going run 800 metres this Summer. Very slowly but run I shall. Maybe I could ask David to join me. He's likely to be a little slower than here? And, this way, he might not lap me. It would be very embarrassing to be lapped in a 2-lap race! Ha ha. Heaven forbid!!
Brilliant run , beautiful stride , and a very humble quiet spoken man , Legend , what are the commentators doing ? Calling him Kaki who had already dropped out , clueless
Terrible commentary. Kaki dropped out, no wait, he's in 2nd place. No he dropped out. Then a few seconds later: "Abubaker Kaki is showing the whole world why he's the greatest!" (they meant Rudisha). Guys! Choose another profession! (Or take lessons from the Brits).
morgan The 800 is a tough event. I hate how they call it a “run” too.. they may not be sprinting at 100/200 speeds.. but at the top levels.. it’s basically still a sprint. It kind of amazes me that they haven’t started breaking 1:40 yet. There’s got to be someone out there capable of doing two sub 50 400’s back to back.
