How to farm correctly (plant the crops in alternate rows to make them grow faster), unknown features about tilled soil (you can place saplings and I think sugar cane on them), and how many farms you need for your survival/hardcore world.
This video helped me figure out what I was doing wrong with my own villager breeder. I was using an upper slab instead of a trap door. Thanks, wattles.
Nice vid! I would like to see you try and build 3 optical illusions. Infinite stairs, glas fog, making something look tiny or huge, make something move, a bit like magic
In Defense of Beetroot: if you set up a "side-hustle" attached to your breeder (kinda like your potato farm from the 1.18 guide, IIRC, where you have a third villager trapped behind a fence standing on a hopper to where the other villagers will try to throw him food), beetroots work quite well, because the farmers will compost the seeds (hoppers under the composter/s collect free bonemeal for you), and you can collect the beetroots they try to throw to the third villager, resulting in pure profits via trading the extra beetroots. You can technically do the same with wheat, but using beetroot cuts out the useless extra step of the villagers having to turn the wheat into bread first (which CAN result in clogging their inventories, although it probably doesn't make a huge difference...i just prefer the elegance of using beetroot 🤓).
I literally looked up your jungle base villager breeder episode this morning and you uploaded this while I was working on that lol. Thanks for the video!
I found 3 ENCHANTED GOLDEN APPLES in one chest in an ancient city today, and there's 2 ancient cities really close to each other in a biiiig badlands biome
Thinking about it, Baby Villagers jumping on beds is a parity change I'd love to see on Bedrock!! I was so jealous when I first heard about the jumping on beds thing, Mojang, please can we have it too? 😂
some variation of the thrid breeder, and then some kind of Iron Farm that takes advantage of Villagers being scared by a zombie are usually my first two builds after a starter house.
I built the 3rd farm on Java with the same exact water system you used to get them away from the beds. What is the best way to get just one villager out at this point? Using the villagers that are made to make your iron farm
built the 3rd one but i'm having issues with the baby villager not caring about the beds in the slightest, he just runs around in the crop chamber. Any solutions?
WATTLES YOU NEED TO SEE THIS!!! Guys look at the bug tracker they fixed the stackable curing of villagers to get the best deals, this will impact trading halls.
Somehow one of the villagers in my iron farm got turned into a witch. I have roofs over them, but some freak shot must have entered from the zombie exposure area 🤷♀️ idk, but now I need another villager. I'm going to build a breeder on top of my iron farm with a switch to shut it off and 3 switches to open up a path to each of the 3 iron farm areas once the baby is grown.
Hey Wattles I have a very similar farm as #3 and was wondering if it is possible to add a compact iron farm above the crop area? Or above the holding chamber? I'm on a bedrock realm with my kids and normally play Java. Holding chamber is about 5 blocks under ground as it's a survival island, was thinking about adding a glass tube with a zombie see if that works.
I personally feel really weird and try not entrap my villagers if I can't help it... Meaning that occasionally I'll lose a villager I've invested in since they are skilled at getting themselves killed. 😅
hi wattles, i don't have a pc to play minecraft on, just my xbox. since i know you primarily play on java edition, i was wondering if these farms also work on bedrock edition? if not, maybe you could make a video for bedrock edition villager breeders also.
o3o thought you said the guide today~ jk. This is much better than how i breed villagers- a hole, bread, beds, me yelling "bread pit bread pit, bread pit! Pls make babies" 😅
If you made your farm close to a village the villagers may have already claimed a bed inside one of the village houses. so you just need to break all the beds in the village and then break the beds in your farm then place it again. It worked for me
Why does wattles speak like he just turned 16 and is TALKING REALLY LOUD, FAST AND HYPED UP in every video now? Compare his tone and everything vs videos from like 1.15
I've built the third breeder SO MANY TIMES... Is there a way to fix it to where the villagers actually do something? No breeding, no crop changing, no anything...
I'm having trouble with the babies not falling when trying to get to the beds, and now the Villagers have stopped breeding, despite me giving them multiple stacks of excess Potatoes. I'm playing on Bedrock.
@@infiniteaaron I wasn't recommending BR, just citing for reference. I fixed mine by moving it farther away, to 150 blocks from the 80 where I started. I didn't keep with the auto model crop harvester type, but build a short tower with the two Villagers trapped on an upper ledge I could push the babies from if they don't fall. I don't think the model was the problem, though, just the distance.
Dont give them carrots to breed because you need to give them 24 and their inventory will fill up quik and wont accept anymore, instead give them bread, it only takes 3 bread per villager to make them breed
@magicmagic8188 a sticky piston with a lever that pushes a block across the hole, blocking villager access to the beds. They still try to make a baby villager, but it fails.
I love building the 3rd one but I always build it before I know what to do with all those villagers it keeps spitting out at me. The second one seems like a good early game solution given the fact I can turn it off by simply leaving the baby close by.
for some reason no matter how much food I give them even when they are passing it to each other they aren't breeding its been a few Minecraft days and no baby villagers. is there anything I'm doing wrong? followed the vid to the T.
i love ya watles but sometimes your farms just ain't that good, your "easy" villager breeder doesn't count as a villager breeder imo - thats just manual breeding villagers. medium should be ur easy, hard should be your medium and the your hard should be your own adaptation of the impulse breeder or smt - smt really efficient yk
It worked for one baby villager, but now it gives those little flury signals above their head and wont breed anymore. I am on bedrock 1.2 please help! :)
I really like the idea of the last one and i think it would be great for my world but does anyone have any suggestions on how to like idk turn it off or something lol i doing think I’ll need that many villagers, would it be smart just to break the composter and put it back if i need to breed again?
When im trying to breed them hearts pop up but then angry clouds, they both have a job and idk if that affects anything, help pls:') (btw amazing vid, apreciate the tips!!)
1:26 Villagers need food to get in the mood… Just like Caligula. They disgust me. …and to think MineCraft made a huge deal about cookies and fireflies… Sad.
Once you get them nearer to another bed they'll link to it at some point. I always give myself a couple chunks of separation from the farm to the hall/destination just to be safe, though.
what other thing in minecraft should i do a 3 farm video on??
How to farm correctly (plant the crops in alternate rows to make them grow faster), unknown features about tilled soil (you can place saplings and I think sugar cane on them), and how many farms you need for your survival/hardcore world.
What about gold farms? Could do 3 for Java and 3 for Bedrock
Well can we make 2 farms in one !? Like an iron farm + automatic crop farm(farmer villager)
We need a diamond farm wattles 😂 Ik its impossible so I suggest a mob farm
I fell like you sure make 3 iron farms that work on both versions Bedrock and Java
This video helped me figure out what I was doing wrong with my own villager breeder. I was using an upper slab instead of a trap door. Thanks, wattles.
Your tutorials are always so simple and entertaining at the same time!
I always like how you explain the mechanics as well as the builds; many content creators seem to forget that.

The last design no longer works in Bedrock baby will not pathfind across the trapdoor. Confirmed working in Java but not Bedrock.

yayyy king is back!!!
Funny lmao, this was exactly the topic I opened youtube for today. Thanks!
If you want an on/off switch you can move a block with a piston next to the trap doors to make the villagers think they dont have access to beds
can i put potatoes and carrots because alternating crops grow faster
These tutorials are great
this was a bit easer to understand Thanks
How far do you need to take the baby villager for it to lose interest in the bed?
As long as the baby villager can't find a path to the bed. Although villagers try to claim beds within a sphere radius of 48 blocks.
@@IW10-103 right on time lol. thanks for the info though
Does the last one definitely work on bedrock? My baby villagers won't pathfind across the trapdoor.
If the baby villagers end up in a holding cell, entity cramming will save your computer from exploding.
I don't know why but " Technically, they don't need to work to make kids" cracked me up lol

Cam someone tell me. How many blocks away the baby has to get to? For this to work. For ref. I am on bedrock
Please and thank you

does the automatic one work underground?
i made one and it doesnt seem to work. the villagers get into love mode but they just dont make a baby.
I think all ethics are out the door as soon as you said "villager breeder" so take them babies away, no mercy 😂
I like how wattles refers to villagers like if they're an object
I personally feel really weird and try not entrap my villagers if I can't help it... Meaning that occasionally I'll lose a villager I've invested in since they are skilled at getting themselves killed. 😅
That's why a village on a survival Island is literally perfect.....Just build up a wall that's two blooks high and they'll be safe from everything xD
I built the last one and it works perfectly - a little too perfectly actually... what would be the best way to temporarily pause this breeder?
you can remove their access to the beds by putting blocks in the way
how far away do the baby villagers have to be from the bed to unlink?

I prefer the third one because of how automatic it is. On top of that with a tiny modification you can turn it off as well!
