06:48 Bless you! Appreciate you showing these - it really helped show the massive difference between the OG contoured and what a change to a neutral grip brings.
Fireside makes great scales. I just installed some custom ordered some skinny roasted maple shaman scales with a special black nitro finish and they’re literally works of art. Couldn’t be happier. They put a ton of attention and care into their work.
I was footed a cool conspirator with cF scales and it’s great. I think unlocked composites did it . It’s pretty smooth looking with the ti clip and light .
I don't remember the steel but it is civivi, now I could throw 20 other knives out there for a candidate, but this one is easily one of civivis best imo.
Man, I briefly contemplated chasing one of the Elmax Shamans when they dropped and didn't. I kind of regret it every time I see one. When you finally have to put an edge on it, that thing is going to SHINE! I was looking at the Fireside scales on a sale they had recently too. I couldn't decide between skinny and regular, so I missed it. Anyway...have a great week, brother.
Skinny unless you have bear paws... even the skinny scales feel huge imo it's a hard explain though it's not like uncomfortable huge... And I saw em drop and honestly brotha they were up there for AWHILE .. and yeah I had an xhp shaman... this might be my favorite blade steel on a shaman so far!!!
Good morning. Thanks for sharing. I like my manix 2 and was looking at this shaman . Yesterday I Recd the artisan chunk proponent , wow , chunk monster but very well built and smooth with multiple deploys . Green thorn stellar was impressive and the new Rike 1902 should be coming soon . I hop I chose wisely going with the smaller version . Have a great day bud.
So the proponent is too much damn fun!!! And the manix 2 is my favorite spyderco of all time (most of the time) the techno 2, then maybe the Shaman or pm2 haven't gotten over that part yet lol! Thanks for watching bro add me ok ig send me some pics of your setup bro!
@@EEDC ok I will . The new Rike 1902 came in . It’s a little small actually but still pretty cool . I would have got the larger one but I m on a small 3” blade kick , this is the last one though .
@@EEDC I heard of a good last week but can’t remember the name , “ knaf “something , I think maybe knafsale . I heard they do all the work for you and listing is easy .
I really wanted to get my hands on it due to I have a super freek and the magnacut mk1 hogue in the way, I have a redoubt (which I'll br selling after the video) and a mini adamas that are all SCREAMING to compare

Oh yeah man I love em. The rocketed the Shaman back to competing with my manix 2!
All I needed to know if the original scales are more comfortable. So glad I’m not sucked into the hype of aftermarket scales
Yeah I think I'll be replacing these scales eventually, I liked em initially but they are very "boxy" feeling

The conspirator might be one of the greatest budget edcs of all time... MIGHT but even being I that discussion really tells how good it actually is!
The Civivi one with 14c28n?

Almost looks like a different folder. Glad to see ya enjoy em. 👍👍
It actually feels like a different folder... thanks for watching brotha
A pretty cool upgrade. I have yet to get a shaman but one day I hope to. Great video brotha 👍

@@MitchBollig I gave in 10 minutes later and ordered the larger OG Rike 1902 from Atlantic .😂😂 .
Where would you reccomend to put a few knives up for sale ?
I would say reddit /knifeswap is the most popular but things sell on there harder than they used to :(

Jojo!!!
Nice work for a Navy guy, no matter how much you dress up that shaman it's still inferior to the K320 😉
Still got to get my hands on an aluminum one damnit+!
You'd be proud of me, finally ordered the aluminum handled version ;)
@@EEDC I can't wait for the review!

They are too thick imo.
Shaman is one of the few Spydercos that I wouldn't change the scales. I like smooth 😎🌤
I wouldn't disagree I like em both though. It does feel like a completely different knife
Ho estly the one thing I didn't like about the knife. Cheap and plasticy with no grip. Should've made them like the PM2 scales.
They r too slippery.
