I got this video in my recommended because I’ve been looking at Felisa deck techs and this is the best one so far! You’re super thorough and give great reasoning for your picks, and the video was clean and easy to follow. Easy sub from me, hope to see more!
Nice recommendations here, I love to play aristocrats and have been trying to build a smooth-flowing Felisa deck, the cards in this build that were recommended for more recursion combo builds were really helpful,. thanks!
First time viewing one of your videos. And I'm subscribed! I really like your approach to the deck tech. One of the things I dislike most about mtg is how decks become super uniform. I like randomness, so I appreciate the fact that you pretty much say go for cards like these and never even hint that you have to play an $80 card because it's the best at doing a thing.
thanks, I appreciate it! and I'm glad I'm not alone in loving the randomness/variance that this format can offer! I hope I can help you out in future builds too. Like right now, I'm covering a bunch of New Capenna ones (or at least the ones that catch my attention haha)
Hi, I’m pretty new to commander and I bought the Silverquill Precon and I want to upgrade it. I want the deck to have more an aristocrat strategy. What cards do you recommend changing/leaving out and what other cards to add. I am looking to go in a more combo aristocrat direction because it think it will be more fun. Just nothing too strong. This deck tech is absolutely amazing and the best one I’ve ever seen. You split it into lots of small sections and you give some choice. For example I was hoping to put more cards similar to carrion feeder because I think it will be really cool with lots of cruel celebrant and triggers like that.
Glad you enjoyed it! If you’re going aristocrats, then you could look into cards like Anafenza Kin-Tree Spirit and persist creatures (ex. putrid goblin, lesser masticore). I’d probably also increase the sac outlet count from what I talked about in the video and put in cards like viscera seer, priest of forgotten gods, and (one of my fave cards) Yahenni undying partisan. Cruel celebrant is a great payoff engine that can win games but don’t overlook cards like pitiless plunderer or smothering abomination which will help fill up slots in your deck and reward you for doing something you wanted to do in the first place. From the precon, I’d unfortunately cut many of the creatures since a lot of them don’t support the aristocrat strat you want. The spells are actually pretty decent (but can be upgraded) so I’d definitely start with replacing many of the creatures (zetalpa, guardian archon, hunted lammasu, etc)
@@alfr3d000 Ayt! Here’s my current decklist: www.moxfield.com/decks/ByshK18-vkqABA4WMaRIyw I know there are some non-budget options in there like toxic deluge and teferi’s pro, and some of the finishers in the video have really spiked in price since they were released like akroma’s will and inkshield, but there are more budget alternatives to those. Otherwise, they’re good investments because they’re quite staple-y in the format 😊
For those interested, here’s my current decklist in early 2023 😊
