This is the first time I've ever heard a priest mention the indulgence that can be gained at the moment of death. It's basically the equivalent of the indulgence Jesus offered to Dismas on the cross: "This day you will be with me in paradise." It never occurred to me to offer my death to God every day so I can gain that indulgence. I'm adding it to my morning prayer from now on. 😊
Me too. How wonderful that we can do this!
Thank you Father, for teaching us the beauties our holy faith.
Beautiful. Going to the cemetery today!
Father, what about those of us who are homebound and cannot physically be present except Sundays when someone takes me.
I love listening to the sermons of the holy priests in this channel. Everyday I learn something new, to help me grow in my holiness. GOD bless protect prosper and empower all these holy priests. 🙏🏽🩵🙏🏽
Exactly same with me. This channel helps my spiritual life. Especially this priest how I wish I knew his name. Peace be with you. ❤🙏🏼
@@Maya-yp2eyI wish I could have a good spiritual director I count talk to. These Priests on this channel help me a lot like spiritual directors.
Priests explained to me that souls in purgatory have ZERO attachment to sin, so when we offer them the plenary indulgence they get the entire indulgence (they go right to heaven!), not just a fraction like we may if we have attachment to venial sin. Many of us pray the rosary daily anyway, for instance if wearing the scapular, so I pray a rosary in mass every time I go to mass and ask for an indulgence usually for a soul in purgatory but on the day of my confession, I ask to be granted it to myself.
In your morning offering, offer your merits and indulgences that you may accumulate throughout that day to Our Lady for Her to use as She sees fit. She knows what is best and how to dispense them far better than we can. And because God cannot be outdone in generosity, He will reward you more generously than can be imagined.
Great! I recommend you to make the total consecration to Mary according to Saint Montfort's method. I give everything I have to her and she decides what to do with it.
@@asimpleuser123 yes, I have since done the consecration. Also, I forgot to mention that the rosary must be prayed uninterrupted for the plenary indulgence.
Total and absolute 🔥! Thabk you Father and God Bless all who listen and believe!
Exceptional message. Thank you Father.
Yes. Indulge given to a soul in purgatory. 🕯️🙏🏽
I really never have heard of only one indulgence being needed on our death. I guess I need to read the catechism again...
He cracks me up sometimes LOL. Thank You for this sermon Father N.
This channel is awesome thanks for all the free knowledge my word of politically incorrect usage.
🙏🏼📿✝️
Thank you for the great explanation. Blessed be God.
Beautiful lecture
I sometimes pray the Holy Rosary in front of a live stream of the Blessed Sacrament. I wonder does this count, if of course being detached from venal sin ( which is far from easy imo).
Amen 🙏🏼
Thank you, Fr.
A beautiful sermon. Thank you Fr.
🙏💚
Excellent Explanation 😅🎉
I live your channel!
I love your channel and am learning lots!
God promised I want my promises
Amazing.
Calling children stupid 😢
Does Baptism remove sin and temporal punishment? Such as an adult who is newly baptized?
Is an indulgence automatically given or do we have to ask for it? Can I request that the indulgence be given to a particular individual in purgatory?
I believe so, but don't quote me.
But we never know for sure who is in Purgatory, if I understand correctly.
Some small number have appeared to Saints and religious. Other than this, if a soul dies in a state of grace, it can be safely assumed he is most likely to spend some time in purgation. @@anndonbrinson2520
I'm pretty sure you can only gain one plenary indulgence a day, not two @ 15:40
I thought so too. Hmm
Where is the husband who loves me Gosd where is my son and housing
Apocalypse 10:6 exludes the purgatory, so any indulgences are dispensable and unnecessary.
What of the Hoy Father isn't Holy and his intentions are wrong and evil...
We pray for his intentions, so that they become holy. The office of papacy is holy, not necessarily the individual.
@@contemplatingchrist 🙏
Also the Holy Father’s intentions are posted on the Vatican website. We are praying for his published intentions. Those are along the lines of praying for the dead, the poor, hungry, etc
