Thank you! ... especially for the details at the end about St. Francis. I always liked him for his way with animals and his renouncing of wealth, but his attitude about contemplating Jesus on the cross is an even stronger connection for me. It struck me a number of weeks ago in prayer that not only did God give us His only Son to "pay our debts" and redeem us. But His Passion/Crucifixion gave us a profoundly graffic visual illustration of the damage ours sins do to our relationship with Him. 😢
Father.... you make us think and take action and awake our spirit to use the gifts God has given us in order to forgive and love others. I don’t speak to my sister and more and more, The Holly Spirit keeps pounding on me to use Charity,humility and temperance to take that step! Thank you Father for repeating something I know I ought to do!
