- This could've went horribly wrong for this truck driver! Thank goodness I double checked my tanker trailer. I love pulling tankers and love me some waffle house 🙂

Like your videos Rex...you do a great job editing and you have one of the best trucking channels as you explain and show everything...watch the caffeine intake...some is good but if you over do it its really bad for your heart.....I learned that the hard way.....your a really hard worker which is rare these days and you're a real asset to Prime...I hope they appreciate you... drove a truck for many years in my younger days but my life went a different path....you sure make me miss it though....stay safe on the roads brother....

I was told the sulphur in the diesel that slips pass the piston rings causes the oil to almost turn black instantly.
Pretty sure that's just soot/particulate & something you might even see in direct injected gas engines. Diesel has been ultra low sulphur for many years now. If they weren't they would probably damage some components like exhaust after treatments. The oil has been engineered to be low ash as well when it burns in combustion.
The most you should run oil is 13,000 miles. Start a shipper/receiver/truck stop book detailing any issues good or bad and also post to Google reviews.

The diesel oil gets black so fast due to the soot from burning the fuel. With the EGR systems, it's even worse. But yes it is normal.

Good video the oil is black is because you can't get all the old oil out of the motor even if you flush the oil pan . I work at the old Petro in Elkton Maryland doing tires and PM service

Back in the 70's and early 80's before waffle house there was STUCKY'S home of the $1.99 breakfast 2 eggs 2 choice meat, hashbrowns and toast. When you get fuel does prime pay the fuel bill? Just askin not to be nosy. Dark roast coffee is the bomb with sweet cream. Enjoy the content keep up the good work be safe out there

The oil thing is normal. Diesel oil is always gonna be black if it’s used. It’s carbon build up and everything.

Hey Rex I’m fixing to apply been kinda hesitate on applying for an otr position. I am in the Missouri national guard an I live in Springfield i wanna go tanker an do lease operator would you have any tips or advice for someone who has over 4 years driving of military equipment and has there class A permit? Also love the content. It’s helped me learn an wanna make this leap to trucking a lot easier on my mind an my wife’s mind to as we enjoy your videos an it makes the transition a lot less stressful. Any tips would be appreciated thanks 😊
If you decide to make the jump just stay focused, going through Prime training isn’t a walk in the park. Ask a lot of questions with your trainer. My wife and I sold everything we had to move from Phoenix AZ to Springfield MO so failure wasn’t an option I had to make it! A lot of people quit or give up. Just get past the TNT training (OTR Training Miles) then you upgrade to your own truck. If I can do it so can you! 🤞🙏
Oh and budget your money well when leasing. I say this because you can have a 4,000 check 1 week and 1000 or 1300 the next 2

Do you get paid for dead head miles ? Please let me know I work at prime before but thinking of doing tanker?
The deadhead miles are included in the load (under empty miles) To make it simple prime pays you the current fuel surcharge for each deadhead mile. I hope this helps!

Just like cars go to the car wash to get cleaned, tanker drivers must have the trailer washed out on the inside before getting loaded with product!
