This is really awesome. I drive a pneumatic trailer and haul cement and flyash. Ive been considering hauling tankers. Its cool to see how everything works. Appreciate you taking the time to show the whole process. Stay safe out there bro!!
I enjoyed watching the unload procedure mid-video. I haul bulk spring water, and our load/unload process is so simple compared to this one. With ours, the plant's pumps do the unloading, so all we have to do is check in, hook up up each hose end, and start the pump. The trailers have a screen mesh pipe vent, the product is in-line tested, and the unloading commences. Half hour later we're empty and rolling for another load.
I drove for Prime for about 8 years, and I have to say Prime is done being what it once was. They are still a great place to get your CDL and 2 years experience, but after that, get out.
Hey Rex , let Tyler know that there is a decent vape shop I go to when I'm in Springfield called vapor world. It's right across the street from Walmart in that plaza.
I hauled a lot of chicken fat back in the day and we used a PTO pump to unload. Your looks like a complicated deal with that pump. Your trainee need to get a pair of work boots and ditch those Crocs. He will make BoneHead Truckers video
@abdelazizzaylaci7889 it's not that bad once your use to it ! People told me that so much before i started tanker and i have no issues & i really dont wanna haul anything else
Just curious what is your typical empty miles vs loaded? I did reefer at prime and they planned loads for the lowest possible empty miles. I'd say 0-200 miles on average.
I’m a company driver so my empty miles and loaded miles are usually 50/50. This last load I deadheaded from Ogden Utah to Hanceville AL, loaded then to Verona MO. Empty miles for me doesn’t matter my pay is per mile. As a lease driver I’d be losing money with all the deadhead I do. I’ve ran both lease and now company seems I do the “MORE” deadheading.
Had a lot of others do the same. A few others ran reefer solo after upgrading a month in a requested a transfer to tanker. You gotta talk to your current dispatcher!
THB I like company better “right now” rates are low especially election years. So it’s best to be running company until after the election is over. The above is from a lot of experienced owner operators. Hope this helps!
After seeing this video I can see why prime safety is cracking down on drivers no proper safety wear when unloading Rex as a veteran driver u have to set the example this trainee won’t last long
Agree what others have said. Gotta put a stop to the phone usage. He's more interested in whats on the phone than what you are doing or saying. He should be following you wherever you go. If you get out of the truck, so should he. Seems like you did most of the work. With that said, I give all the credit in the world for those that train. Takes a special person to put up with it. It would drive me nuts.
My trainer did a lot of the work and planning. It wasn't until I was thrown to the fire I had to really know my shit or fail. The two months training is definitely not enough to prepare you for all the road has to offer. I'd say after 1 year I was 100% confident. Understanding the basics and preparing for the worst cases is most important.
@@W0wH0bbs That's because the vast majority of "trainers" aren't training. They are running the truck as a super solo. If you can't know what to do after 2 months then either your trainer is a failure or you shouldn't be in trucking.
New breed of driver smh cant learn shyt being on the phone. Who in there right mined runs there hydraulic hoses like that leave it to prime know wounder the lines on the trailer are bent oh boy 🤦♂
Hey Rex, How are you liking that International truck. I use to run those back in the day when I did LTL, always enjoyed the ride and functionality of them.

Did you teach him how to fill a jug of lemonade to the brim for optimum usage?
Sparks,NV. One of those places we went with Kmart loads back in the day. Safe travels and God bless you guys!
So glad you’re back making content. He’s lucky to have you as a trainer.
Trainee is just there to be there
As in he doesn't care about having a job or?

25 yr trucker here Prime was a crap company 20yrs ago and still a crap company js🤷♀
Glad to see ya grinding again
You're a good trainer Rex!
Does Prime supply the Crocs?
Hey Rex , let Tyler know that there is a decent vape shop I go to when I'm in Springfield called vapor world. It's right across the street from Walmart in that plaza.
That first stop looks like Shawnee Oklahoma. Was there a few weeks ago
Did u not hear him say he was going to Shawnee lol 🤦🏾♂️
standing on the brake and putting in gear will stop any idling gears in the trans to stop.....it will extend the life of the pto
Good video today rex

Hey Rex you know that you can go run hazmat tankers and make more money, and have more freedom right? IJS. THATS WHAT I DID!
Honestly bro you got me wanting to move over to tanker, but prime isn’t hiring anymore tanker drivers right now.
@abdelazizzaylaci7889 it's not that bad once your use to it ! People told me that so much before i started tanker and i have no issues & i really dont wanna haul anything else
How's the ride compared to freightliner?

Much appreciated from an ex trucker..
hey, i’m currently in tnt on refer side, will i be able to switch to the tanker side once i’m done or how does that work if you know ?
Had a lot of others do the same. A few others ran reefer solo after upgrading a month in a requested a transfer to tanker. You gotta talk to your current dispatcher!
Number one take those headphones 🎧 off and stay off the phone trainee
Especially when going up top and opening the dome lid. Don't want anything to fall in.
These young dudes today thinking they look so cool with headphones on like that lol.
@@Nick_Ferdinande and the shoes, truckers wear boots IMO
Lol there’s no dress code
@@burn1picks708yes there are !!!
Gentlemen. Great Great video. Team work. That's what I'm talking about. The Big Daddy says YO DAWG GREAT JOB. I'm out G
How long is tnt training phase??
great video! 👍
How many gallons of product are in the tanker?
Depends on how much the product weighs.
The trailers I run can hold up to 6800 gallons
Ayyye my boy
How’s that international compared to Frieghtliner? Ride quality/space/dependability?
Better ride quality and space, not so much on dependability 🤔 but been running enough to make solid 💰
What Good Trainer U Are Rex Showing Tyler How To Load & Unload Trailer Tanker With Feed
Do I need my permit to get on? And do I need to live close I’m from tx and I don’t think there is a training program close to me
Prime treats me pretty good, I’m sure there is other companies but I like my home time, freedom I got with my dispatcher etc.
Everyone be nice to the young man, he's learning!!
Yeah. You can't text and drive. And most of the time, he's out of the driver seat. good luck on your training bro☺️
Do you like company driving more than lease driving?

Best trainer with good student, stay safe dud
“The millennial” 😂😂😂😂
Keep up the good work until we meet trucking life 😆 🤣 😂 but seriously
This trainee is always on his phone . Whilst discharging that would be a big no no for me .
Not to mention wearing crocks ?
I was thinking the same thing. Seems to be disrespecting Rex if you ask me. Maybe we dont know the entire story!
Just wait, driver facing are camera's on the way.
@@danclark2769 Rex is literally wearing hey dudes. Ain’t much better than crocs.

Let him drop his headphone. Lack of respect. And let him drop his phone. That's gonna kill him or others.

Keep you’re train me away from the cat houses
Tyler wont last 3 months out on the road
He's more concerned about his phone than what you're saying.
No safety glasses , safety boots always on his phone and headset Come on
Kick that trainee out the truck seem like he don’t care about what you have to say or teach
your trainee to take them headphones off his head
Stop you didn't want the company to see what you were doing cuz that's not properly fixing it
Why do you tolerate the guy with his headphone on the job ??? What the fuck is that
Tyler is off to a great start. Looks like he just rolled out of bed. Headphones on. Hood up. Anything but sneakers on. Typical prime driver.

Complete disrespect as a trainer. I’d throw those headphones out the window
I tried. Had to quit watching. That trainee could care less. Total disrespect.
Please dont make a nother video like that with no safety rulls are fallow.
He isnt a real tanker driver there is no way im going sit in my truck while unloading then look at the wardrobe no way man take some pride man
That's all they had was piece of crap international nothing but junk 😂
Its just me but I hate to see truckers wearing flip flops, slides, crocs, etc.
Hey Rex, How are you liking that International truck.

Ride quality is better than the freightliner. Having more breakdowns vs the freightliner though. Still making 💰
