Inflation is just getting started in Canada. The high cost of fuel alone is enough to push us into galloping inflation - particularly when it comes to farmers. The enormous machines used in modern farming are incredibly fuel hungry. The high cost of fuel and fertilizer will have to be passed on to the consumer. As a side note, can anyone explain how green technology will be applied to these massive machines? Electric combines? Not likely any time soon. To be sure, in a very short time we will all own nothing. But happy? Not bloody likely.

I don't know what I'm doing, I must be doing something though. I eat just as well as always. Sure the prices must be going up. I just haven't seen it. Meat, veggies, bread, snacks. I've noticed gaps on the shelf from supply disruptions occasionally. But when there are 20 types of bread products on the bread shelves, and if you are not fussy... But I like just about anything. Bakery, brand name, flatbreads, it's just something to hold a sandwich together as I see it. It helps that I hunt for day olds. Day old bread is half price, and tastes just as good. Most meat is better when it no longer looks as pretty. I prefer my bananas over ripe. My secret weapon, I married a chef :) They are trained to make good food out of anything.

I don't know what I'm doing, I must be doing something though. I eat just as well as always. Sure the prices must be going up. I just haven't seen it. Meat, veggies, bread, snacks. I've noticed gaps on the shelf from supply disruptions occasionally. But when there are 20 types of bread products on the bread shelves, and if you are not fussy... But I like just about anything. Bakery, brand name, flatbreads, it's just something to hold a sandwich together as I see it. It helps that I hunt for day olds. Day old bread is half price, and tastes just as good. Most meat is better when it no longer looks as pretty. I prefer my bananas over ripe. My secret weapon, I married a chef :) They are trained to make good food out of anything.
