That and the lengthy spectacle that comes with it. Why the CBC, the "government run" organization, would uncover evidence of wrongdoing between the WE Charity and Trudeau and publish it. But the "mainstream" media is also very aware that you have to have your facts straight because you get sued if you don't. If the facts are wrong about WE Charity, Trudeau's lawyers could descend and have a field day in court and that costs hard. Why InfoWars and Fox find themselves in some huge lawsuits. Fox is a big enough organization that it can weather the Dominion lawsuits against it. Infowars may not be so lucky. But both chose to push conspiracy theories without any substantiated evidence and without any physical proof doesn't matter what organization you are that is grounds for defamation. Why retractions are printed and the media quickly owns up to mistakes made in coverage. Because that will hopefully resolve any threats of a painful financial lawsuit and it usually does because apologies to defamed individuals and organizations are usually enough to calm the lawyers they have at beck and call. Whether you believe what I am saying. That is your problem not mine. But this is the reality on the ground in the media. How do I know. Been there done that.
