Did you guys know that at one point, Jackie Chan was trying to get a live action Dragon Ball Z movie going? I remember seeing an article about it back in college (and a new one five minutes ago) talking about it. In that article, it had a poll on it asking who should play Vegeta (Jet Li won, obviously). I really wish that version of the movie came out instead of the one we got lol.
I love Legend Of The Drunken Master, Police Story, Shanghai Noon, and Rush Hour 1 & 2... BUT... I love Fist of Legend, Fearless, Unleashed, Kiss Of The Dragon, Tai Chi Master, and Once Upon A Time In China 1 & 2 more.
Awesome vid and loved the Mortal Kombat references. Some of my favorite from them are Shanghai Noon (for Jackie Chan) and The One (for Jet Li). Jackie Chan's stuntwork give him the edge over Li, for me. Hey, Jackie Chan had his own digitized fighting game, too!
Guys, Robin Shou was not in Drunken Master 2, just saying. Also jackie Chan grew up in Canberra, Australia in the Hong Kong consulate. He had a very nice life until he decided for no reason to go to Beijing Opera training at 12 years old because he thought it looked cool. Read his auto-bio, "Never grow up". Jet Li's Hero is a freaking masterpiece.
He did NOT "grow up" in Canberra. He spent his childhood from age 6 1/2 to 17 in the Chinese Opera academy in some of the most demanding training available that could legally result in his death while his parents lived 3,000 miles away . He spent a brief time with them after leaving the Academy when he was 17. He was essentiallty abandoned in an environment where he was mentally & physically tortured, beaten, and nearly starved on a daily basis ...imperfection was not allowed...neither was illness.
Once Upon a Time in China and Fearless are both considered to be Jet's best work, which are better acted than Tai Chi Master for sure. Danny the Dog as well.

If you indeed read his books, you obviously didn't comprehend them.

My movie.
Morning
I grew up watching Jackie Chan so he wins for me. I love Drunken Master. I am also a huge fan of Jackie's choreography style.
Love Jackie Chan, but Jet Li was my favorite actor as a kid. Had all his movies. Thought he was badass.
