@@JeffWhisky Tried only 4 Deanstons (18, Oloroso Cask Matured, 12 and Virgin Oak). Yes, Virgin Oak is simplest one, however it has its special spot in my bar: for me it is perfect bourbon replacement (which are too sweet for my taste).

PS: Yesterday at the Milano whisky festival I spent a couple of hours with Antonia Bruce and Connal Mackenzie of Ardnamurchan, lovely people and they let me try four delicious drams Maclean’s nose, the Chechapin (spelling?) as well as the two I walked away with : the AD/0922 cask strength and the Sherry release @ 50% . Both are quite exceptional and fairly priced here in Italy 🇮🇹. Perhaps 🤔 one of these may be your choice?
All I will say is, my pick is a real curveball this year. Sounds like a great time at Milano Whisky Festival, Ardnamurchan are certainly doing some amazing things! Cheers
Ooh the choices! I've been blessed this year with so many great whiskys from friends and family so narrowing it down from a good 5 or 6 isn't easy. HMs to Glenallachie 15, Talisker 18, Balblair 15, Laphroaig Lore, Mortlach 16 but I'm going to settle on Kilkerran 16 for my WOTY. We truly are spoilt with mainstream malts, so much so I haven't tried any IBs this year. Thanks for all your hard work this year and hopefully see you next July at Bristol Whisky festival.
That is a very strong year of whisky you have had! Kilkerran 16 truly is stunning liquid and I need to hurry up and open my next bottle of it! I'm not sure yet about whisky of the year, but surprise of the year was the glen breton 10yo from ralfy's inaugural. It's surprisingly up my street. Without any rules set, might be the Bowmore De Luxe 1970s I've tasted at the festival in Limburg. That was a bargain dram at the festival and an absolute banger.

I need to tree the Sowing Edition! So far all I have tried is the classic and cask strength. Balvenie was a favourite of mine in the early part of my journey but not something I have not returned to. Think I will need to change that, cheers for your pics and hope you find more grab drams next year!

I am really not that greedy chap and I actually have 3 bottles of the 15 in stock but I consider to stock up 1 or 2 bottles. According to the bottle code (from 2 different sources) the filling was in 2017. According to my researches Glen Garioch 15 disappears from time to time from the market. BTW Jeff: I remember that you (as me) like a lot Nikka from the barrel. In a shop located in the Netherlands (Drankdozijn) it is on offer for incredable 29 EUR. Can't go wrong here!

@JeffWhisky did a tasting of Bruichladdich range at the Aberdeen whisky shop and they were all pretty cool, but couldn't see past the 10 year. Picked up some Ardnamurchan cask strength to enjoy over Christmas too 🙌

Could only purchase the Peat Smoke Bourbon which I find to be very good. A steal at around 45 EUR. But would love to try the sherry version. CS from Benromach, I love it. Dirty punchy individual character, no pleaser.
I saw the Glencadam American Oak in your cart, don't get it. :'D I had it in my christmas calendar. It's got a nice aroma but it's youth and 40% make it fall apart in taste and finish.

I‘m still not decided…. That Laph 10CS was unavailable in our market until recently and i finally got to try it after all that fomo. And liked it so much more than other Laphs…. I had better whiskies but the Laph emotions were high 😂 My name…. Igor pronounced Egor. English speakers keep reading Eye-gor…. and since I’m also a Kiwi… anyway not a fan of the name but once you use it all over whiskytube it’s kinda hard to change
Hey, fellow Kiwi. I was the same regarding Laph 10 CS. Everyone was talking about it, but it wasn't available here. Then Batch 15 came out and I snatched up a bottle and loved it. Was a contender for my whisky of the year but got bumped in favour of Craigellachie 13 & Kilkerran 12. It is in my top 5 though, along with Ardnamurchan CS 02.22 and Longmorn 16.
Laphroaig 10 Cask Strength is certainly a crowd pleaser with many people picking it! Thanks Kiwi Egor ;) I will try to remember it and make sure I say it correctly. Thanks for being a bottle slap supporter, it really helps with the channel. Cheers Igor

iv got both the 16 year olds and the 18 never had the 15 until now love all the longmorn but original 16 is my favourite
