I got a LOT more slomo clips of bottles falling into the Recycling which never appeared on the channel. Would you want a similar video cover these? Cheers Slappers
Nice one Jeff. It's always good to see what your thoughts are when the bottle has gone, it would be interesting to know if your opinion on a particular whisky changes from open to empty. I may have to visit the Penderyn Rich Oak as I've enjoyed the sherrywood and portwood. Cheers Jeff, see you in the next one.
Nice one Jeff! I have the Penderyn Madeira, which is pretty good, but it is the only Penderyn I've tried. Will have to look out for the Rich Oak version. Cheers!
In my view the Maderia is the weakest of the bunch, even prefer some of their cheaper entry 40% bottles over it. However maybe I have only had a bad batch? The Rich Oak is a banger!
Nice video, i have been trying reduce the size of my collection so will hopefully be in position to be a bit slower buying whisky and also concetrate on quality a bit more.
The right attitude Scott! I did only achieve this by 2 bottles less but still a win! Anything else you got your eyes on? Cheers for watching and supporting!
@@JeffWhisky have had my eye the signatory 100 proof peated ben nevis but hard to get it from usual places that post to belfast without charging more. Long term eying up latest cu bocan creations and more cask strength ledaig. Got 2 as a treat gor new job and they are amazing. Really need to waych budget after winning 2 thompson bros IBs in a their ballot. I thought what the hell no chance of winning and won on both.
Glad you enjoyed it Tim! Wasn't sure how much people would enjoy this one so great to hear. Thinking will do a run down of all the bottlekills over the years which was never reviewed.
Actually was having that Glen Garioch before the video started. Not that bad true, but there is that slight acetone hint. The biggest plus is it's under US$40, and can't complain based on that pricing. Otherwise it's also not that good. Better to get an aged stated one.
What great timing. I do remember an acetone nail polish twang to it. As you say though, price and value if a keen factor. Cheers for watching Sugar Kitty!
RIP some solid bottles! I find myself more and more not replacing the gone ones. There's so much good stuff out there that I can't bring myself to buy the whiskies I've tried before. It's a good conundrum to have :)
RIP to the wee beastie! I finished mine too. Hilariously it’s no1 on my buy again or always on the shelf list but I haven’t rebought yet, always want to spend what I have on something new! 😂 Also I recommend checking out the port askaig 8 over the laga 8 same money but I prefer it, more medicinal though! Cheers Jeff!
Great to see what you went through this year. I am wondering though… was this video just an excuse to show off all those great thumbnails you have made? 🤣 Cheers, Jeff!
Oh and with the Filey Bay whiskies, yeah I have. Enjoyed the core bottle which I can't remember the name and really enjoyed the STR release. What is your preference? Cheers
@@JeffWhisky I visited the distillery last month and did a taste tour. I tried their 6 offerings which were Flagship, Peated finish, Moscatel finish, IPA finish, STR finish & Porter cask with beer. The offerings were pretty generous and a few of us were slightly merry as it all happened in 15 minutes. I purchased a bottle of the IPA finish batch #2. For a young whisky it’s a lovely taste. It’s all done on site as they also have a superb brewery with excellent brews. They will be doing an age statement of 10yrs in near future. Thanks for replying and look forward to your next vlog.

That is a great idea, if I planned this video better (or at all) should have included that 😅. Will note for next time! Cheers
That slap at the end, scared the shit out of me 🤣🤣🤣
It was a little noisey, I did really turn that audio down in the edit so hopefully no one has burst ear drums! Slap on

Always fun to hear about how whisky has finished. Cheers!
Cheers buddy! I certainly should have made some notes before this to talk how it changed over time!

@@JeffWhisky Kind, yes, but true buddy your a great show-man !
Ive got an old bottle of Hakushu I use for my last bits of dram from my empties.
Have you had any of the Filey Bay whiskies?
Great Vlog Jeff
Glad you enjoy it Sean and that you are also a person of taste using an old Japanese whisky bottle for the dregs! Cheers
