Tim, thank you for the courage to share this difficult news with your subscribers. You have done the right things, you have sought good medical investigation, you've had good medical treatment and the surgery sounds like it has gone well. OK, nobody wants news like you have had or any kind of surgery like you have had but you must believe now and keep believing you will get through all this. Its not an end of a journey, the C-word is still just a word. And you still have the lovely Mr. Boo to support you through it. Stay strong.

When I was diagnosed with bladder cancer, my surgeon told me 'time is of the essence'. As you say, it's a very sobering bit of information to absorb in a fairly short time. I don't have a Mr Boo in my life. my first partner died of HIV many years ago, my second partner (with whom I had split up from, but still remained in touch with) passed away a month ago. So, essentially I live a solitary life, with my little dog. my own cancer was treated, successfully, over seven years ago, but it has had quite an impact upon my way of life. I don't know your age, but I'm in my mid-sixties, and 'things start going wrong' and 'konking out' hereon, which is a bit of a bother (and a bitch). Long story short, I know what you're going through, and you have my best wishes and hopes for a full recovery. When I was younger (much younger), I was quite content in cut-off jeans and trainers (VERY cut-off), when I lived in Streatham in London. I was 'a bit of alright' back in the day, and bloody knew it, so tan was my clothing much of the time. These days I'm fairly bald (where did my mane go?), so wear a flat cap, and always a baggy T-shirt to save what's left of my hide from further destruction. Out there in the south of France, I'm guessing there are better combinations! Oh, be aware that a nice white T-shirt is nearly as useless as no T-shirt, as it lets the radiation through easily enough. Now you know that you are susceptible to skin cancer, 'things will have to change'. I know how hard that is for us boyz, who have spent so much time letting the world look upon our loveliness ,and the sun light us 'just so', but when you catch cancer in time, life after that is in reality 'a free go', something precious that nature had not intended for us. I think I've worked out that you've been in the entertainment business for your career ( ? ) but never realised the amount of effort editing actually takes! I ought to have guessed though, as your Channel is so seamlessly produced, and beautifully shot. Enough from me... take care of yourself, be gentle with yourself, BUT... don't stop with the program!!! 🤩

Wow, I just found out that my brother has cancer and he’s scheduled for surgery this Wednesday 😮 and now you! Yes sir, glad you are NOT playing around with this mess, take it seriously because it IS serious! You take your time Mr. Man! I’ve often asked you about your editing because you are so good at it. I’ve edited a few videos and I know how much time it can take, with music, voice overs in just the right place and any inserts the you may need to add on, etc, etc. I knew you were putting a whole lot of time into your video’s because of the quality of them, they are always so good. Sooo,….. no more thin white t-shirts for you and you should “always” wear a cap for real. I hope that Mr. Boo is keeping a close eye on you and don’t get pissy with him for doing so, because he will be trying to keep you out of trouble! We love you both and will be looking forward to many more of your video’s in the future. Hang in there and be a good patient, I know how some of you men are, you should never have waited so long to get that treated in the first place. We've been following you for a while. We have a second home in the south of France and plan to buy an Ami, so your videos are very relevant to us. Beyond that, like everyone else, we have become very fond of both you and Mr Boo and enjoyed sharing your adventures. Sunday night isn't complete without watching the latest episode of your escapades. Sad to hear this news but grateful that you have shared it and hopefully it will serve as a warning to other 'mad dogs and Englishmen'. It was interesting hearing your story. I have had the same BCC issue on my face, the one thing I hung on to was the consultant said to me that “ if you were to get cancer this is the one you would want” as once it’s removed it’s gone. 🤞🏻it’s the same for you.
Absolutely it’s the least dangerous and I’m relieved to have had my forehead and ear growths zapped

The first time I had cancer was a melanoma in my left eye in 1992, In 2000 I had thyroid cancer. Now I have thyroid cancer again together with prostate cancer. So you can see, I sort of gotten used to it. However, for the first time you may well be very depressed about it. Actually, it affects the people around you. Even now people don't know how to react to me having cancer for the 3rd and 4th time together. I don't think about it, just follow the advise from the surgeons and general medical profession. Keep strong. I have spend 10 months in Thailand and love it.

Thank you for sharing your cancer diagnosis......not always an easy thing to do. Sounds like you have had excellent speedy treatment. You take all the time in the world to recover. Your health is paramount, and we will all still be here. Getting the 'C' diagnosis is a great shock to the system. I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, then 9 months later diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer. Two lots of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy (plus put on cancer hormonal therapy (with horrible side effects) for 10 years in a bid to stop cancer returning), all took it's toll, on both my physical and mental health. After one year, my mental health was totally shredded to the point where I was referred to the cancer psychologist. I'm now 10 years cancer free. You take care of yourself, and it's great that Mr Boo is there to help you with your recovery. All the best to you both 🥰

If you’re unlucky enough to get skin cancer, basal cell is vastly preferable to melanoma. It’s a good bet that after the wound heals this is the last you’ll hear of it. It’s good that you had a full dermatological work up and had the nasty bits burned off. Best of luck!

Very sorry to hear this. My wife had a very similar issue as yours but on the back of her neck. All sorted finally after two operations and this was some years ago and she is clear of cancer now. Same scalp issues (and forehead too). She had the same freezy cold treatment. We did lots of hand holding and warm smiles! I'm sure you will be fine too. Thinking of you both. Stay positive!

What can I say? Onwards and upwards……… so pleased you have received great medical care and all fingers crossed for the outcome we pray for. I honestly thought you were back in France…….. might be an idea to give an Indication when your vlogs are filmed. I know when I commented on last week’s weather in the vlog, you kindly replied that it was filmed in November.
I have been through challenging medical times with my partner and I know the two of you will be even stronger together. Elton needs you and has offered to soften his suspension to accommodate your ‘wound’ !
PS As I am the aged one in our relationship, my partner has ensured my LPA is up-to-date and has dusted down my life assurance policy! That love…..isn’t it?

Best wishes to you. I had basel cell next to my nose and had MOHS surgery. They start with an eraser head size incisition and continue rings until no basel cells are found. The surgeon and the pathologist are in the same office so it can be done on one day. I had the skin flap and although initially looked very Frankenstein monster with the stitches, the result was great. Basel Cell is the least aggressive and mine had been growing for 20 years. Annual checks are the only aftermath.

Sorry to hear about your Cancer Tim.... My mother had a malignant melanoma on her back in her 50's which she had removed along with Breast Cancer and subsequently had a mastectomy. She is now knocking on the door of 91 ....There is life after Cancer So Please keep your chin up & look towards the years that you have with Mr Boo & Halloween showing us more of the French Riviera in Elton . I find your adventures fascinating & funny & love your sense of humour (Being 55 this year I get 99% of your jokes)

Hi Tim from Spain. I am not a sun worshipper. As a child almost 80 years ago (i.e. after the war and the beaches were reopened) we used occasionally to go for a paddle, etc. Even without sun bathing, I would get terrible sunburn and end up being smothered in calamine lotion in an attempt to reduce the pain so I have always tended to avoid the sun, except, at the moment when it is perhaps 10° in the sun but only 4 or 5° out of it and we are having our morning coffee on the terrace. Glad to hear that you have sympathetic medical staff looking after you. It takes great courage to do a video like this one without turning it into a looking for sympathy plea.

Best wishes Tim, stay positive and focused on what you are doing and what you do best, i.e keeping us all entertained by your fabulous adventures with Mr Boo and Elton. Fortunately the C word is no longer the negative sentence that it once was. I had a growth removed from the top of my forehead when I was 55 and have worn a baseball cap ever since. I still go out in the sun but avoid direct sun on my skin and always use a factor 50 sun block. I am now 69 and have had no reoccurrence of the legion and feel very well. Sometimes when you have been around the block a quite a few times like we have you need to preserve yourself a little. Yes you can still live life to the full, but just be a little more careful of prolonged exposure in direct sunlight. I am sure you and Mr Boo have many more happy years ahead of you. Beside which we need you to keep on producing these lovely Vlogs of you, Mr Boo and Elton which often have me in stitches as I watch your adventures.

Gosh, all that time and we didn’t know the discomfort and pain you were experiencing when driving Elton, you’re very stoical Tim. Thank you for sharing this news with us. Having looked through the comments it’s obvious you have our thoughts and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
If it’s any consolation, I used to sail a lot with a family friend who was my dad’s age, he had skin cancer on the back of his hands from years of sailing. Quite some years later when he passed away it was from a heart attack not the cancer.

As I believe I have mentioned to you on a previous occasion, There is a book 'Palace' written in 1986, by 'Baron Christian De Massey' an, I think, nephew of the late prince. And that mentions the pollution problem down there, in this case Monaco. A good read which gives one a better idea of the goings on in the principality. Certainly at that time.

Tim, I spend most of the year in Australia and it's a HUGE issue here. But if caught early enough and treated agressively it's sortable. Aussies are constantly getting growths removed. With your permission I'd like to share 2 stories with you?
1. I had an injury on my ear lobe that didn't seem to want to heal and f**k off, so eventually I went to a skin surgeon who took a sample and after testing I was told that it wasn't a 'spreading type' and could be just cut out without affecting my looks too much. The operation was done at Limoges CHU and no follow-up required. It was frightening but the care I received was truly reassuring.
2. A pal of mine had a tumor on his back which was found to be an active cancer. He was operated and tumor removed. After that he had a full body scan with a number of skin abnormalities frozen. He is pretty much back to his smart-arse self so is feeling good.
Taking action early (which I didn't do!!) seems to be the key, then looking after yourself better. Take good care and you'll be fine. Dave

@@MeandMonAmi I am afraid it seems we easily get this as we now live in a hot countries both of us-and, our skin is just not used to all this hot hot weather. We do see many people in the same situation and very dark skinned which just is not good for our skin. So chin up love I am sending a virtual hug especially just for you. Xxx

Oh Tim! What news...not what you need to hear but thank goodness you are in Thailand and have had and are having such great treatment. Please keep us informed.
