  • The trigger on the Beretta 92 XI SAO Launch Edition has issues - gritty and sluggish reset that is not audible or tactile. I'll show you how to quickly fix it without spending any money.

I found the wood grip also interfered with the magazine catch on mine. A little light shaving in that area was a vast improvement to how the magazine button worked.

I have one. It's from the shipping grease and dlc coatings.. A good clp scrub made mine wake up. Mine in a non-Launch. Typical 92x trigger bar. LTT can improve that. I absolutely love mine.

Thanks for commenting! I appreciate it. I can't speak to the standard edition, since I only have experience with this one, but it definitely was the grip panel on mine. Just taking the grip off, confirmed the trigger bar was binding on the grip.

@buildyourarsenal it happens with wood grips. I wish I had the wood grips. Made by Hogue, but exclusively for Beretta. That trigger gets better and better., After watching the video, I pulled my XI out the safe with a trigger gage. 2.78lbs all day. I have about 800-1000rounds through mine.

My 92Xi standard has a 'crunch" right before it gets to the breaking point. This happens with both the standard and Lok grips. I will check them out to see if it is the issue you describe, but less likely since it does this with two different grips. I would like the trigger job in a bag from LTT, but their website says that for the Performance version it has to be gunsmith fit.

@bcasinger My only thought is to take the grips off entirely and see if it still does it.
