I have a question and that is if I am recording an episode (not live) how can I get people to call in with their questions etc or does it have to be live and will they have an option to call in? And does the riverside app have a phone number for them to call in
You can share the "audience link" to have viewers watch you record. They will have the option to interact with you via chat and request to be part of the call. See more here: support.riverside.fm/hc/en-us/articles/5252574777117-The-Audience-Member-Role-Details-
You could try doing this using dynamic ad insertion if your episodes are already published. You would simply record the segment and insert it in an ad spot throughout your show. See this article for more information on what this means: riverside.fm/blog/dynamic-ad-insertion-in-podcasts

Great tips, thank you. I'm about to embark on a solo podcast show and this really helps. Cheers
Glad it helped!

But how is this possible when you do a solo podcast and have already recorded your episodes
