Thanks for the video(s), helping me out a lot. would like to see more of this, like stability / core / strength for full/lower body and so on :-) Best wishes for 2024
Wow, that was awesome. A bit tougher than what I’m used to good definitely need to work on my core now I’m going for a run. I love starting it off with your stretches. Let’s go buddy.😊
Mentally pushing myself in this way is something I am not familiar with, I want to do more strength training, I’m enjoying how you go about instructing the viewer through the movements, I’d love to see more of this stuff tailored towards building strength from a lower base line, thanks for the video ash🎉
Thanks Beau, that’s great feedback to know. It helps my future planning. Theres lots more like this to come and I will be soon launching an online video membership platform with a specific Foundational Strength Programme on there too 👍🏻😊
Well done and old work out video but effective. Thanks to your strength exercise I improved alot my running posture especially in hills I feel stronger and attack the hill coz core is strong and upper body as well. If you can make a video maybe with some dumbles on upper body like the one you have with the lower body 😅 would be great.
You're so welcome as always Michelle, I’m glad I could help you have a good strength session for areas you feel weaker 😊 thanks for commenting and have a great weekend🙏
Hey Ash, thanks for this, would be amped on more core videos :) can I suggest adding and rug or curtain to help with the echo, can be out of view, but any soft furnishings would help dampen the reverb. Thanks again!
Thanks for the idea Nicholas, I’m a musician as well so I understand that about sound and is definitely something I want to improve. I have added a lavelier mic which has reduced it. The only issue is that’s the room where I have my 1-2-1 clients between filming so I don’t have any soft furnishings to dampen sound. Will look for some portable solutions and I’m probably going to insulate the side walls which will help. Thanks for your comment 😊👍🏻
More to come Emily, thanks as always for your support in 2023! It's great to see you are back posting, I have sent some of your videos to my mum as they are just what she needs 👍
This was a good one today. Non running day strength training. Did a Hat Trick workout; Glute bands, avoid runners knee and this one. A few months ago I could barely get through these, today, although they gave a burn I found them easier. I guess all that work is paying off. Thanks again Ash. I'm hitting those 70-80+km per week in volume now for my final phase of Marathon Prep and no injuries. Your content is great!
Glad you liked this one Brian and you did a hat trick, well done 🎉🎉🙌🏻 so glad you are noticing the difference in your strength, it’ll definitely keep your body more resilient from that volume you are running 😊 so good to see you coming back to my videos so regularly 🙌🏻
You're so welcome! I appreciate your comment, thank you so much 🙏 you are so right we all have an intense mindset that pushes a bit too far sometimes 😊
Absolutely! I’ll get making some more for sure 👍🏻 also have a Foundational Strength programme on my membership platform that may be of interest. That’s launching in a few weeks. Still posting 3 free videos a week on here though 😊
Great! Thanks, as a cyclist who got into running recently doing this core strength workout will be one of my new years good resolutions. May i ask you how many sessions per week you would recommend?
Great idea, it will definitely make your body more resilient and injury resistant. If you are running/cycling 3-5 times per week I would say to strength train at least 2 days per week 20-45 minute sessions if you can. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks Ash! I was wondering, as one does this type of exercise more often, is it sufficient to repeat or is some kind of progression necessary? In other words, can I simply repeat sessions such as these, which I very much appreciate btw, based on bodyweight only, or does one need to add resistance, weights at one point?
Hey Ash! Do you recommend to still warm up after these strengthening workouts before going for a run? Also do we have to do our own warm up prior to starting these strengthening workouts? Thanks in advance ❤
I would say yes to warming up before running with this one as it’s more upper body and core focused so the legs are not included in this so would need to warm them up. This works into the workout so not always necessary to warmup. 😊❤️
Did the bullet proof knees and this with a 5min gap in between. Feeling much better than 2 months ago after starting your strength sessions 😊
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your comment 🙏😀
The reason why we keep coming back is how well you explain each exercise and the reason behind each one of them! Thanks for the good work, Ash!
Thanks so much for that feedback 🙏😊
Please put up more videos for core and upper body strength. 🙏 I am still weak in those areas but getting better. 😊
Working on it! 😊👍🏻
Agreed ❤ more of this type of video please 💪
Love love love your explanation of each exercise, best channel❤❤
Thanks so much for that 🙏🙏🙏😊❤️
Thanks for the video(s), helping me out a lot. would like to see more of this, like stability / core / strength for full/lower body and so on :-) Best wishes for 2024
More to come in 2024 Chris for sure, this is the type of session runners need to do more of but avoid so well done for doing it!

Thanks Ash. Modifications really helped out here 😅
Happy to help George, well done for doing this work mate 👍🏻😊
Thanks for this. it's funny how I feel like I always need to "do more" or "go harder," when simple but focused workouts like this really do the trick.
You're so welcome! I appreciate your comment, thank you so much 🙏 you are so right we all have an intense mindset that pushes a bit too far sometimes 😊
Thanks for the video ash
Absolutely smashing it with the consistency Simon, nice work 🙌👍
Love more core stuff, thanks!

Dang Ash that was a tough one! But much needed! 😅
It is a tough one this isn’t it!! Well done for doing it 🙌🏻 most runners skip strength work 😊
Ash, could we get some more upper body work? I need to keep my shoulders strong for my runs so they stay upright. Thank you!
Absolutely! I’ll get making some more for sure 👍🏻 also have a Foundational Strength programme on my membership platform that may be of interest. That’s launching in a few weeks. Still posting 3 free videos a week on here though 😊
Oof hard work for me but totally worth it, great session 👍
