    New "cat-back exhaust" built with H pipe. Goal was to get something similar to that of ISF CCSR racecar. Much more aggressive/deeper sounding than the Y or X pipe. Its loud without being obnoxious or rattles. It does drone but its tolerable. Enjoy!!!

    Nice to know what a H pipe does to the sound. My X pipe sounds a bit more high pitched and less v8-esque.

      It took me awhile to choose between the "X or H pipe". In the end the H pipe gave the more aggressive sound!

    You do know that true dual means you have two independent pipes with no crossover, correct?

    Why not just go buy an Xforce for cheap and put it on. Great sound, no drone, and its an X pipe which makes more power than the H. Sounds good tho...

      Glad you like the sound! X force is a bit pricey didnt want to break the bank. As H vs X pipe the power difference is very small 1-2hp at the most. Plus the CCSR runs H pipe as well. H pipe just sounds more aggressive! Happy Motoring!

    Interesting did not know the CCSR car ran an H, the greddy ti exhaust runs an H as well. Would you consider header back to a SINGLE 3.5" (medium power band) or 3" (maintain low-mid range torque) with a few mufflers inline?

    • @F1veyron
      @F1veyron  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn't go anymore than 2.5in. You would loose torque. Unless you make 600+ hp or find 2.75in. I tried to go with 3in initially but the muffler shop advised against it. It wouldnt be any louder and Id loose torque.

      @@F1veyron i'm 2.5 dual with an X right now, agreed for dual no bigger than 2.5.
      What i mean is a full on single pipe 3.5" from the header back. So it'll be 8 primaries collected to a single 3.5" or something like a 2-1 or a Y pipe single.
      I caught wind of someone having done this when I was browsing the ISF forums a long time ago but I cannot find any more information.
      One 3.5" pipe = 9.62 CFM
      Two 2.5" pipes = 9.8125 CFM
      Even though the CFM is very similar I think the exhaust pulse/scavenging characteristics will maybe have a solid effect in powerband somewhere.
      I may collect some mandrel bend kit and see if I can get this done, Then again, I am just some exhaust maniac and not a flow/exhaust scientist by any means lol

      @@AnotherMotorist Hard to say depends on what your doing with the car. If DD Id stay 2.5in. But if your doing track days Id go with 3in. Unless your gonna go forced induction and make 500-600hp. I learned its about maintaining air flow at certain RPM. I prefer the low end of the RPM band for Mountain roads.
      I would recommend to going to reputable muffler shop and ask their advice. They suggested 2.5in and I have no regrets. The Hellcat comes factory with a 3in exhaust but has of 700+ HP. If you stick with old exhaust theory it would have a 6-8in exhaust...lol! Good luck!!!

    Amazing sound!! Was looking for my Borla exhaust replacement for more V8 sound, like yours. Very happy to find this video - it inspired to make custom exhaust with H pipe! Would you share video or photos how your exhaust looks? Will be very thankful- and start building for my F same! are you on Instagram? ( @gz_carsphoto )

      Thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, I lost the photos when I was having done. My phone has since then passed away and has been replaced. But as far as the H pipe its pretty straight forward just find the hottest spot on your exhaust (i.e. by the cats) and place the H pipe. Then make two pipe for each bank plus a couple of mufflers of your choice and enjoy!

    I actually have a true dual exhaust on my 08 ISF with no X or H pipe but I feel I lost some power would you suggest an H pipe, maybe weld a cross pipe

    • @F1veyron
      @F1veyron  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on what kind of sound you want. H sounds more aggressive and the X is sounds smoother. H is cheaper to instal typically. Im guessing the loss in power from not having the scaveging effect? Give it try if it dont work you can always cut it off! Good luck!

      Is this a custom exhaust or something branded? (H&S is the only true dual that I know for these cars). I am looking to do true dual as well but I'm also worried about low-down torque.
