If you scale performance with price, this card should be literal pocket change now. It's ridiculous that people can still sell them for nearly or more than $100.

@Geo-mn1xd if it's from a good brand such as Asus or Gigabyte then they usually go for about $80 used with the box and accessories Of from a low brand such as MSI, Zotac or others then $65 Ofc that depends on where you live
Great vid. I was using a 1060 up until this year. It's weird to see how well 8 year old hardware does on modern games, especially one of the lowest priced graphics cards from that gen.
Nice to see a video about this gpu! I'm still using the GTX 1050Ti. I've had it for about 3-4 years, it replaced my GTX 670. I've no complaints with the 1050Ti, it has served me quite well, and still does right up until this day. Im still rocking a damn GTX 950 I got back in 2016 playing new titles with no complaints! The performance margin between the 1050 is almost identical. I've had this card for 7 years or so now and its the best card I've ever owned. It's been able to handle any game ive thrown at it while being the most reliable gpu I've ever owned. Will be replacing it with the rtx 4090 this month.

Unless your build requires a low profile card, or if the power supply is too low power for something better, or if you don’t have the option to plug a card into your psu, like in a prebuilt. I’m building a low spec low budget second machine. (I got it for free, just needs a better gpu than what came with it.) In my case a 1050 ti is just less of a hassle and cheaper than having to get a new power supply and adapter cables for the proprietary motherboard. I did do all of that for my buddy’s build though. We made a case out of foam board and popsicle sticks. 😝 Turned out alright. It looks funny but it does the job.
rx 580s are cheap nowadays pretty good for your system and almost 2x the performance of 1050ti. or get the 1650 super if you have crappy PSU same perf with rx 580.
i had rx 580..only work for 7mos and i got blacskreen and never open again even i try another pc..so i already sold out it as defective...rx is latest but not durable
GTX 1650, RX 6400, or RTX 3050 6GB. All three beat the 1050 TI, and do not require additional power. The 1650 however does not come in a single slot low profile version.
What do you mean? If you mean whether the card needs external power, it does. It requires a PCI-Express 4 pin cable, which your power supply likely has.
@@Deptifyy All graphics cards need a power supply in order to function. Some cards don't use PCI cables to power them. Most 1050ti's won't need the 4pin connector. 1060's and up will need atleast a 6pin connection. But if you're looking into a 1080 you will need a 8pin (same for a 1070). Heck my 3070 needs 2x 8pin connections. it just depends on the card you choose. Hope this helps
I initially bought an RX580, but the fan failed. So I had to return it. Got a 1050Ti instead. Now - in 2024 I am starting to look for an upgrade. Its THAT good. @@nirmal2140 I bought an RX 6750XT 12MB - but my Mobo wouldn't run it. Upgraded my PSU to a 850w from a 550w - hopefully that will do the job. Saving for a new card now!!! In my region, a 3060 is cheap and cheerful, but not GOOD. But its a good option. If things go south, I may fall back on that, or something similar.
I would make sure you aren’t bottle necked by your CPU first. A better GPU doesn’t guarantee better performance if your cpu can’t query the frames fast enough in the first place (unless you are simultaneously also upgrading to a higher display resolution).
