Kay this is why I like you, any other person would’ve jumped at the opportunity to call their island “Emerald” or “LadyBug”, but not you. You took a chance, rolled the dice, and got a dope name like Fir Marsh, and that’s what makes you so special.
Also I’m not judging anyone that would’ve chosen either of those names, in fact I prolly would’ve myself cause I’m basic lol. I just really love and appreciate that Kay is so unconventionally cool ✌🏼

I'm doing this challenge too. My starters are Kid Cat and Muffy. I decided to autofill my first 3 plots (like i did originally, in my first play through) and got Ozzie, Chrissie and Norma! What luck! I'm sure my campsite villager isn't going to be as great! lol

This challenge seems so fun!! The only thing I wouldn't do is the "Design" section for the most part. I'm so bad at designing patterns in this game, I would rather buy a new outfit everyday than draw one 😂

Such a fun challenge! I love the name so much! I’ve been going back and playing new leaf which is my hard mode without decorating outside and villagers just going wherever and it’s been fun! Wishing you the best of luck Kay!

Real life got in the way of the binge I planned on having but I can at least get in some videos today! Hearing the Day 0 music just made me so nostalgic I miss it. Stinky really is slept on, I wish he was on my island he is so adorable! I DO have Pashmina right now though, it's great to see them both on Fir Marsh!

Found you on my recommended. So glad I discovered you. Also, the island you chose is the layout of my secondary island, Orangeland. On that island in the middle, I built up a cliff and put my house on it. 😂

I also started a new island in hard mode and chose the same island as you. I have apples too (my favorite fruit), a blue airport and a round peninsula. My residents are Genji (I'm so happy, love him so much) and Shari.

i'm the same way about sleep schedule lol!! i have chronic fatigue problems, and usually my energy depletes at around 6 pm. i tend to sleep at 8-10 every night. i dunno how 13-year-old me would stay up until 3-5 am every night, i can hardly even last until midnight now !!

I've deleted save data before.
I "technically" have two islands. One I share with my four kids (and a nephew). We've had that island since summer of 2021 on the family Switch (but I rarely go on the island). And the second one is very new (St. Patty's day of this year, and yes, I did time travel to that day specifically back in February) on my Switch Lite.
I didn't use any generators (didn't even know they existed til now) for either name. The oldest island's name is Gallifrey (Doctor Who nerd 🤓). I was going to go for the DW theme, but with kids...very difficult. The new one, I kind of wanted a Japanese word/name, so I googled cherry blossom or something like that in Japanese. Finally came up with Ukiyo (according to google, it means "floating world" living in the moment, detached from the troubles of life. It's the Japanese term of Edo period Japan (1600-1867)). AC islands kind of reflect the whole "floating world/living in the moment/detached from life's troubles" type of thing/vibe. I thought it was fitting to name my island that, that's all.

Why does it matter what fruit or villagers you have and the airport color?
I think it's just that people have preferences on those sort of things
It’s just a preference, personally I don’t like the green color airports bc the neon color hurts my eyes.
