Totally misread the title as ‘Most Successful Villager Hunt I’ve Ever Done’.
Thought to myself, Oooo this will be a nice escape after a day of medical treatment to watch a relaxing HEA video from one of my favorite channels.
As you were describing various villagers, I thought ‘Oh wow - wonder if this means she’ll get Ruby (maybe Raymond/Ahnka)

Had I read the title correctly, probably would have delayed watching.
I wish to thank you for providing me with content that actually relaxed me and took stress out my day, although inadvertently.
Probably should feel guilty as it wasn’t the same for you, but hopefully you can forgive my transgression of not doing so.

PS Never really been a big fan of “the villager” or wanted them for any of my islands.
Your experience with them is exactly like mine with the demon cat, MERRY.
Problematic, never deigned to interact of her own volition and when she had to speak, she was rude/hurtful.
I felt like she conned me to get her on my island with her campsite dialogue.
Definitely felt victim of a bait and switch scam. Took forever to get rid of her.
So, I totally get your reaction upon seeing “the villager” 💯

Any Cheri I've known IRL pronounce it like Sherry, so, for right or wrong, that's how I've always pronounced in game Cheri. I just love her! I agree about Derwin. I've never had opportunity to have him on my island but ever since I became aware of him, I have thought he is adorable. As far as not having certain personality types on my island, no! I have to have at least one of each at all times. Sisterly villagers give out really good recipes but I'm sure by this point you aren't looking for those anyway

I'm still looking for Ione. Also if I had a welcome back challenge, the only ones I would consider would be Caroline or Lopez. Ones I do like where merengue, Gabi and papi but I have their pictures
Also I'm guessing Marina is like how I feel about dotty. They act all cute and everything but they are secretly evil. Dotty basically had a thought bubble thing going on where if she had it on that day, a villager I wanted to keep would want to move out. It got to the point where I thought she was actually my most recent villager and I remembered that wrong.

i'm missing smug on both of my islands (and cranky on one, but that's just bc it's how things worked out). i don't like the smug villagers much *at all*. my first was huck and i had to invite him, and i really didn't like him. he was rude and i hated his design. then i invited lopez from my campsite much, much later, and he was actually pretty good. i still kicked him out for wolfgang (who i eventually kicked out for dobie). apart from my other forced smug villager (lucha), and the brief moment i had marshal on that island, i haven't had any smug villagers. lol marshal was okay, but he was a quick move out and i was happy to gift him to someone on nookazon, for whom he was a longtime dreamie. :)

I feel the same way about Naomi!!! She autofilled a spot and then REFUSED to leave for like 8 months! She was so mean and the vibes were completely off bc of her. Every time I see her now I just roll my eyes lmao and I also never have sisterlys on my island! I think it’s mainly bc I had muffy as a starter and she was so mean to me I couldn’t kick her out quick enough lol
I feel bad cause I got Judy in my campsite mainly for her aesthetics cause her colors fit with my theme and I replaced Chief the cranky fox with her (but Chief was always a gentle grump really) and Judy is completely throwing off the vibes. Peanut wanted to leave the very next day and Judy tends to stay on her own side of the island singing to herself for ages. When she walks by the other villagers they never interact. Her rude comments are kinda annoying too so idk we will see how it goes

Raymond gave me his photo faster than any villager I've had.......one week after he moved in! The villager I loathed was Judy, she was so mean! She kept being mean to all the other villagers and talking about them, so I kicked her out.
I'm having the same problem with Judy. I got her on my campsite and replaced her with Chief the gentle grump because I loved her anime aesthetic and colors. But she doesn't give great vibes and her comments are so rude. Peanut asked to leave the very next day 😅 I don't know if I will keep her forever. I miss Chief too.
I love the idea of doing the Welcome Back challenge… but then I realized how much I absolutely despise Big Top (he wouldn’t leave, he just wouldn’t leave) I literally have an almost one minute clip of myself slapping him in the back of the head with a net. And if I messed around and ran out of refusals and got stuck with Big Top? I’d scream. I would scream.

how do people replace a villager w an amiibo card? the villager at my campsite will always “go to resident services” and they say there’s no room ?
ANY Villagers at the campsite can replace a villager on your island, provided you have all 10 spots filled. Random campers will play a game with you and when they agree to move, they will talk with Tom and ask you if it’s okay if a random villager moves out. You can restart without saving if you don’t like their choice. Swiping in an amiibo is easier. You just need to invite them three days (they don’t have to be in a row) and on the third visit, they will agree to move and you will choose who they replace. If you don’t have all ten spots filled I don’t think it will work.

I'm with you on Marina. She causes chaos wherever she goes. I really love your Welcome Back Challenge. I'll have to look for more of them. (PS to answer your question: I don't typically have sisterly villagers or jocks. I don't really like many of the sisterly ones and the jocks just yell at me too much. Grumpy and lazy are my favorites.)

If you get the DLC for ACNH then after you've done i think like 30 houses on the happy home paradise island then you can redecorate any villager's house. I redid sherb's
I always have one of each personality on my island. Partly due to DIY, partly because I like the variety. But I always have 2 crankies and 2 snooties since I like the older personalities.
Bubble's was my first villager and I (at first) did not want her there but its been almost a year and she can NOT leave. I'm new to ACNH.
