On Cinema at the Cinema's Most DISTURBING Storyline

- I just want justice for Tom Cruise.
Today's topic is no laughing matter -- On Cinema at the Cinema is a fun show, but there are some truly dark and disturbing layers underneath. Maybe the most heartbreaking is the story of Tim Heidecker's wife Ayaka and the passing of their son, Tom Cruise Jr Heidecker. This video will be in three parts: A true crime doc chronicling the story of Ayaka and Tim leading up to Tom Cruise Heidecker's birth and tragic death, a discussion filling in the surrounding circumstances (Dr. San, Dekkar, Gregg Turkington), and then finally offering some theories about what might have been going on behind the scenes of On Cinema leading to his death. (Tim Heidecker, Gregg Turkington, Ayaka, Dr. San)
I tried something a little different with this one idk. But check out some of my other on Cinema videos if you'd like to!:

This is such a hit piece…Tom Cruise Jr. made his choice.

If Tom Cruise Jr wanted Healthcare, he should've gotten a job like the rest of us. He who does not work, does not eat!
@@johnl5350 excuse me tom cruise jr was an actor with a role in decker vs dracula he was a young star in the making and had already began his career at such a young age, a go-getter from day one!! the blame falls on dr san and dr san ONLY!
Miss ya son…
You ain’t coming back.
I never picked up on the fact that Ayaka is actually the one who chose to name him Tom Cruise Jr
Tim and Gregg flying back and forth from Hawaii seemingly just so they could film On Cinema is one of the funniest gags in the show. Made even funnier by the fact they drag a baby along with them
It’s really evil that the Delgados tried hurting Tim even though they’re victims of the same evil “doctor”
The Delgados were just as power-hungry as Tim Heidecker
Their son is in HELL
@@neonfroot😢😚😂😚🥰
Exactly, he made HIS OWN choice.
Don't forget--there is mention of one other son & marriage in the earlier seasons.
Touched on briefly in only one episode, Tim mentions watching the movie in question with his son--at the time it was not known of him to have any children--Gregg looked perplexed the rest of the episode and asks him when the lights go down.
Tim explains that he is lightly in touch with him still and it was from another marriage
I'm glad Ayaka stealing that Airheads VHS is finally getting some attention!!!
When Japan sends its people, they're not sending their best
I think Gregg's abuse of Mark needs to be addressed at some point. An investigation is still needed. I can see you're avoiding the real criminal here!
Yes. Gregg should be in jail for Medicaid fraud and also perjury during the Electric Sun 19 trial.
Yeah, what a crime it is to save another human being's life 🙄... If anything Mark owes Gregg hundreds of dollars for being given a place to live with on-site health care, but Gregg is too good of man to demand that from him.
Whole thing was " a
bummer"
I like how this video was structured like a call-out post
Just devistating to go through all this, again. And on every rewatch. It does NOT get easier.
Don't worry - time heals all wounds. I just wish time healed all dead babies, too.
Could anyone else other than Tim Heidecker and Gregg Turkington make the death of an infant so hilarious?
it is pretty amazing when you think about it lol
That’s nothing.
Eric Clapton turned it into a chart topping single.

As a Gregghead this doent surprise me but it sickens me almost as much as losing the VFA
Imagine you never heard of Tim Heidecker or his type of comedy and watched this video without knowing the satire this would be the craziest story ever especially with how you spoke about how it comes off is perfect, well made video lol
Try explaining it to someone who doesn't know Tim and Eric and doesn't get subtle satire. You wind up explaining "comedy", and the whole thing just comes across as an elaborate joke that is unfunny.
First of all who hasn't heard of Tim Heidecker - that great man was almost governor of San Bernardino, show some respect.
In regards to your remarks on "Comedy", I don't see what's to laugh about here. The man was forced to become a father and then was unfathered not long after.
And yet he still has the strength to move on with life like it never happened - that's a real all american hero right there.
@@pootytang69 First of all, meet my roommate. Second, I don't have a second. I'm behind schedule already!

Keep up the great videos! On Cinema or not, I really appreciate the way you form an argument/narrative that’s accessible, informative, digestible, and intelligent. Thank you!
(RIP to Tom Cruise JR)
really appreciate this thank you
Another excellent video. The layers complexity in this world building comedy is genuinely astonishing
I never noticed that the Farewell to Tom Cruise Jr. song was literally just in the Empty Bottle chord progression until now. You know, the song Tim totally made up by himself and definitely didn't steal. Even his spinoffs are of spinoffs, WOW.
it's a completely different song than empty bottle, do you even hear yourself speaking? where is the flute in empty bottle. axiom couldn't write either of those songs even if he tried
I have to say that while I don't think you're right, I do think that I miss Tom Cruise Jr.
His life truly had an impact on the Decker show
This is repulsive, an absolute witch hunt. Disgusting!
Thanks for finally lending a sense of closure to this tragedy
It's so great to have someone making videos about on cinema, thankyou man.
Rip Tom cruise Heidecker
Timhead? Gregghead? I’m a Gorgghead now!!! These video essays are perfect!
🫡 much appreciated!
The sinister tone and editing in this one really helped elevate this harrowing tale to the heights it deserved - you're really giving the Hobbit a run for it's money in the eyes of Oscar.
Buckle up, Peter Jackson, because the race for Oscar's gold just got dangerous.
🏆 thank you my friend, hopefully my write in campaign leads me to oscar gold
brain damage would also explain why Tim is incapable of talking about what we're all here for in the first place; THE MOVIES!
I’ve been saying for years the blood clots then subsequent brain damage from falling off his parked bike resulted in brain damage.
It was a bummer when he died.
At the opening monologue intro and I'm already in tears
I like how you are reporting this like a True Crime documentary lol, bravo 👏🏽
This is very powerful and heartbraking. This could win an oscer for best picture AND best documentary
Remember to write me in on your Oscar ballot this year!
You should make a video on how to get into On Cinema for newcomers. Whenever I try, I get lost.
thats a great idea, i know it can be tough

sickkkk!! I love getting notified for your vids.. I could watch these all day..
you're the best
Laughing so much at the death of a child can only be pulled off by tim and Gregg
It always annoyed me how Ayaka didn’t understand that you didn’t have to like the taste of popped corn to use it as a performance rating metric for movies. But that aside, you opened my eyes to her potentially saving Tim. I can appreciate that line of thinking and agree. Thank you!
I always feel like an empty bottle when I remember Tom Cruise Jr biffed it.
I remember being devastated when Tom Cruise JR passed way to early in life 😢
Given the amount of layers to On Cinema, I wouldn't be surprised if these videos were actually part of the universe (amazing work, btw)
maybe I should start leaning into that to try and get them to incorporate me retroactively lol
An entire video to mention the supposed theory that Greg is an innocent man in all this... Greg was severely jealous so he planted the black mold. Case closed, 150 years in a cell Mr. Turkington.
Seriously, this whole video is just insanely biased Gregghead bullshit.
Just found your channel! Big fan of the OCATC universe. Thanks so much for your thoughtful analysis of this underappreciated show!
Edit:
Forgot to say, i give your channel 5 bags of popcorn + an energy drink to keep turning out great content.
Bless your soul for posting these essays.
I feel like this video glosses over one of the larger tragedies the thievery of a tape from the VFA. I think the jury is still out on who exactly purpetrated this crime.
He glosses over the important parts because he is a Greg head. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole channel was sponsored by the VFA.
I’m a widower of a son who passed away
Love your channel man
Appreciate it!
One of these days I have to learn how they managed to get the most disturbing performance out of a baby ever without all of them going to jail. That kid was never on screen when not in major distress.
I've always wondered about this too.
I feel u, but it could be as simple as waiting for him to shit himself.
They likely just filmed whenever he cried as babies do, rather than doing anything to make them unhappy.
They put red bull in the bottle to make him irritated and ill. Old film trick.
It was also Gregg's son so I was amazed Gregg just let it happen so easily.
Dr. San was the best and did all he could for TCHjr. RIP to them both and heaven has gained two angels.
The way that just the name "Tom Cruise Jr. Heidecker" still makes me crack up makes me feel kinda bad. We lost such a great child actor, and it's not cool of me to laugh at such a true tragedy caused by Tim and "docter" San. 😞
But for reals, thanks so much for these dives into the On Cinema universe. The greatest comedy project around deserves this kind of well done analysis.
“See that JUSTICE is done. CONVICT this individual.”- Rosetti
Admiral Gorgg, I really love your content. You got me into this show and now I'm cursed to talk about it with no one. I don't know how inclined you are to communicating with your subscribers but I would love chance to talk On Cinema with you.
It was a bummer for sure
I'm floored that they did the research necessary to give Dr. San real acupuncture-related terminology.
Great video. I think the answer lies somewhere between incompetence and malice, and while it wasn’t consciously intentional he was definitely relieved he didn’t have to deal with a son anymore. I completely forgot about the ex-wife, but I think it’s another example of how easily Tim can be convinced by others to follow their thinking. I’d love them to pick up that thread again some day. I imagine she disappeared from his life due to him dating Ayaka.
Also, the 3D TCJR model reappearing naked is the most I’ve ever laughed at On Cinema
Until watching this, I hadn't really considered that Tim intentionally killed TCH. I'm a big Hanlon's Razor-head (never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity). But the theory of him seeing TCH's sickness as an opportunity to "fix" Ayaka's "mistake" AND get a big chunk of cash definitely helps explain his sudden change of heart on Dr. San.
it's casino edition!
This was brilliant, so good
"I thought for sure I was gonna be passed away"
You are making seriously great content and I thank you
I thank you! Appreciate ya
Well done man. On Cinema is so hilarious.
TCH always seemed like a super healthy little kid with a big head when he wasn’t coughing or crying.
I'm of the opinion that it's somewhere in between. He subconsciously abandoned and sabotaged his family and child via an interest in music and alternative medicine that he at least thought was sincere. He's a confused and angry man.
I know people keep saying it but seriously, thank you for these vids!! Keep the On Cinema stuff coming!
I will!

Who else thinks Dr. San is a super likable character? Like Kima says to Lester in The Wire, I like his face.
Nothing to do with movies, so not really relevant here
I guess you're right. The Wire is TV. @@calumdowbigginglew3205
the first time i watched on cinema i remember almost pissing myself laughing that ayaka named her and tim's son "tom cruise jr." how they could say tom cruise jr. heidecker with a straight face was baffling to me. what a masterpiece.
Would love to hear you do some Tim and Eric’s bedtime stories videos
I will for sure I’ve recently been rewatching and organizing my thoughts on it! What’s your favorite bedtime story
You read our thoughts man, thanks
lol hey any time man
Look, I'm just gonna say it: as traumatic as the loss of a son is, sometimes it can be a good thing, as evidenced here. Personally, I was never fully convinced that TCHjr was actually Tim's. What I'm saying is is that it all worked out in the end.
It was bad that he died. Every child who dies is one child who cannot play as a munchkin in a WoO franchise film or other roles. Some could grow into adult actors also. You would think more clearly if you shaved that stuff off of you.
4:20 i know greg was breaking moments before, and the decision to laugh might be more of a neil hamburg artefact (when compared to my ideal of turkington), but its moments like these that force me to consider that greg is much more aware moment to moment, and fully leverages the effect he has on people to some interminable end.
This one cold human laugh exemplifies the weird way each actors intent will occasionally bleed into the meta of the show and the interactions, and for a second what's happening on screen almost makes complete sense, but tim and greggs second layer are so peculiar and void of empathy for the audience that what youre watching almost descends inexorably deeper into parody, and the only way to continue is to re-accept the more accessible layers of the shows reality.
RIP to the amazing actor and model Tom Cruise Heidecker
Had no idea TCH Jr was voiced by Heidecker Senior😅😅😅
RIP 🪦 Little TCH Jr. You will be missed but you ain’t coming back…
Timheads love to insist it’s the Electric Sun 19, not the Electric Sun 20. But even if we don’t count the heroin guy, Tom Cruise Jr is obviously victim number 20. Still no justice. 😤
This is really well put together. Nice job, but it's aftermath.
Thank you, Glad you liked it! And it was a purposeful misspelling as reference to the show (Tim keeps calling aftermath aftermass) but in hindsight that is obscure and not clear at all 😂
@@AdmiralGorgg i did wonder if that might have been the case. i haven't watched a lot of it.

I'm starting to think Gorgg is a Gregghead or something...
How dare you. My loyalty is to the truth!
I've watched all of this universe several times and only one thing I've never understood. At Tim's intervention, Ayaka says she'll keep the 2nd baby. At the Trial she says she has a daughter but it's not Tim's. What did I miss?
The best and worst Arnold impression
Like everything in life, it all begins with Airheads
RIP Tom Cruise Heidecker I miss you son you're not comin back.
It's just a shaim that nothing could have prevented TCH Jr's death. Tim is just a victum of fait.
@11:50 This was Dr San's biggest mistake. New research suggests the burning sage not only wards off negative spirits/energy, but can also ward off positive healing spirits/energy. If only he has known, little Tom would still be with us.
Also, they clearly didn't use the correct crystals trying to heal him.
I love this
On Cinema is my favorite movie review podcast
tom cruise junior had his whole life ahead of him
Why is it "Tom Cruise Junior" unless he was actually Toms son
I feel like there's more to the story
always more to the story.. suspicious circumstances all around
@@AdmiralGorgg
I think Dr San knocked up Ayaka
The day the music died
Is it possible that either Gregg or Dr San was TCH's real father? Probably not but something to ponder.
very interesting stuff... my biggest question is what happened to tim's first son? he is rarely ever mentioned
I can only recall him being mentioned once. He would be large adult son by now.@@AdmiralGorgg
New upload! 5 bags! 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
TCH,Jr. was a huge crybaby and he ain't comin back..
how dare you
I haven't seen the full video yet but the intro made me notice (spoilers)
Dr. San is playing the flute. In the Oscar special after the Trial when Tim plays Oscar Fever with the Hobbit Band (what a mouthful) there's a band member playing the flute at a rhythm that actually matched the original Oscar Fever but Tim yanks it away and says "I DON'T FUCKING NEED FLUTE". I wonder if there's any correlation to it reminding him of Dr. San. After the 9th Oscar special I realized just how aware the Tim character really is as too how much he's fucked up so looking back at these moments make me wonder how much character detail really is in the Tim character... Fuck, now after this video I bet I'm gonna rewatch it all aren't I? 😫 Oh well, what's another 2 weeks watching nothing but this?
That’s a very interesting connection I love that
