Happy for you man - tho I gotta say this would drive me nuts haha. I’ve set up my speakers by eye/feel. Wife and I love the sound and have left it there.

And that is the key - find what sounds great to you and just enjoy the music! Happy listening!

I get the best holograpuc soundstage when I have 2 parallel sidewalls so the side reflections are identical. I previously oriented the speakers with an open side wall (to the kitchen area) and it was very unsatisfying.
Something for you to consider for future dabbling, I pucked up a pair of REL 212SX that I place next to, on the outside of my Cornwall IVs. The bass is awesome and makes up for our big open floorplan that otherwise consumes bass waves. I think you might really like symmetrical subs.

Great job! I see the improvement, hopefully the windows reflection are under control ) may be two Vicoustic Totem Ultra would help. The laser is really cool but the bulky floor acoustic devices in front of the speakers are a real trip hazard.

Thanks! Yeah - the floor diffusors get picked up after each listen. :)

If I may, suggesting trying to widen the speakers with a bit of toe in. They look a bit too close to each other compared to the greater distance between seating position and speakers.

@@a.c.9495 Hello - they are 8 feet apart and per the mfg they should have no toe in. They actually sound worse with toe in believe it or not.

The Greek style 😅 .. Also as an Audiophile, would say a bit too much for me. Yes, room is important, but I wouldn't go that crazy, personal opinion 😊 ! Of course here in Germany we have way different houses/apartments and our living room is for *living* and enjoying music and not getting out of the way of hifi gear. YES, as an reviewer what your are primary targeting, it is fine. Love your details you are presenting and thanks for your efforts!!!

Oh to have as nicely a sized, regular shaped room as yours to play with. Hahaha.
I have, for my sins, ended up with an L shaped room for my system. Not optimal I can assure you.
Not so much then OCD as DSP to solve my particular room induced sonic issues.
Love those Tobian Speakers by the way. Big boy drivers are so much more efficient at pushing large amounts of air about.
    Thanks for the piece.

Have you heard the Lyngdorf TDAI RoomPerfect amps? Those have a LOT of positive buzz

Why are the speakers on the floor??

    • @GreekAudioGeek
      @GreekAudioGeek  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

Not sure I understand? They are floor standing speakers. They are like 150 lbs each.

@@GreekAudioGeek Those speakers need to come up to ear height.

The are designed to couple with the floor and be angled back so it reaches ear height. It's the design of the speaker and it sounds spectacular.
