    Great operation!! Love how prototypical everything looks on your layout! Especially the shelf couplers on the plastic pellet hoppers!

    If my operations and my uploads are even slightly as good as yours, then I will feel accomplished. I’ve never had any friends or family in life that share my interest in the hobby and I’m horrible about being able to do switch lists. This is inspiring

    This is about the most realistic expectation of a layout I'll ever hope to have because it's fairly small and manageable. Also the detail and weathering on this layout are absolutely top level! Not too many loco engineers are also artists with this much talent!

    Yea, some yard switching on the Seaboard Central! I really enjoyed the video and description of what you were doing with each move. On a model railroad the yard jobs take almost as much time as they do on the prototype, which adds time to an ops session. A good yard crew makes an ops session very enjoyable for everyone else. While this layout's days are numbered, I can't wait to see the new improved version. Good luck on a quick sale of your house and a successful offer on a new layout room with a living space above. -Tom

      Thanks Tom! Yes, yard switching is my favorite part of operations. Give me the yard master position and I’ll be happy. We met with the Realtor and the house will be on the market in the next day or two. Hopefully it will be a quick sell and we can find a new place soon. Tim

      @@SeaboardCentral the home selling trend as of late has been on the sellers side as new home inventory is tight... there have been stories of bidding wars breaking out as there are very few new homes ready to move into... don't be surprised if your home flies off the market FAST

      Thanks! Those cars which many ended up patched for AGR are one reason that the layout is permanently set in 2015. By 2016, many were getting new paint jobs. Tim

    Tim fantastic post as always. After all these years it deeply saddens me that the CS is going to be deconstructed, but knowing you the new home and layout will be more awesome than this one if that is possible. Most of us know what goes into getting a house ready for sale and getting a layout ready to be moved. Just hoping that you'll be able to incorporate a lot of the layout into the new. BTW great yard moves. Nice to see a master at work.

    Questions does you locomotives have dynamic braking?

    • @SeaboardCentral
      @SeaboardCentral  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, but I don’t use dynamic while switching. It is only something that I would use to control the speed over a long distance. Also, if the locomotive is equipped with standard dynamic and not extended or high capacity dynamic it is useless at lower speeds.
