Is this a fun player's Deathguard??? I can't belive my eyes! Where are 20 man blobs of HSS with lasscacons and volkite? Double Scorpions are a tad bit strong but it could be worse. What is this? I tell you what a gorgeous army and a battlereport WORTH WATCHING!

20:00 for the Rapiers I've asked the same question...by model count they should start at T4, but if you go by wounds they're equal but if you go by Bulky they'd be T5 and I can't find a definitive answer. Locally we go by model count but I've seen it ruled either way. Best way to avoid issue just chat with your opponent before a game or TO before an event. IW Laser Rapiers are mean so I'm happy to let my opponent make the call (cause if they're sitting my 195 point Rapiers they're not shooting at my other weapons of war crimes 😂). Thanks for the awesome Batreps gents.

Yeah it's a rough one that relies far too much on your opponent.
I'm very surprised it hasn't been addressed really. Just give them +1 str to meltas and/or give them the IH -1 Str to Flame & Melta weapons.@@martynsmith820
Bulky (etc) has no effect on majority toughness for the purposes of wounding, so Rapiers are T4 until half the crew are dead.
Also a Techmarine gains the same unit type as the unit he joins - so when he was in the Heavy Volkite squad, he would have also had the Heavy type - so should have rerolled failed armour saves against the blasts he got hit by!
Remembering all the rules is tricksy 🤣
