You no longer have to worry about Bitter Duty - the recent FAQ allows bitter duty characters to join any unit regardless of whether it has bitter duty or not.
It's always nice to see content from Horus Heresy, a game which, unfairly, is not experiencing great popularity among wargamers in this period. The Raven Guard will almost certainly be the second Legion I intend to make (I'm currently assembling 3000 points of Iron Warriors). The Decapitation Strike with Corax is one of the most iconic and fun formations in the entire game.
Not too sure exactly why it's popularity has diminished, I know I have my qualms with it but they're not too bad! I suspect that a lot of people want to see several of the same elements of the game changed but too cautious to play community rules/house rules to improve upon the foundation of the game. HOPEFULLY it sees a resurgence soon, I really think the last two books that have been released added some great content.
I loved 30k in V1. V2 ruined that. Too many wonky things and straight up broken issues (there were some in V1, but they never seemed so prevalent or widespread in abuse). I still somewhat enjoy watching this stuff but none of my V2 games were actually fun. Between spending 15-30 minutes looking up random rules and a few things that highlight terrible game design every game I played was just terrible.
@@myrar8708 V2 is SO much better, this guy is just a grognard. Heresy isn't experiencing as much popularity bc I think people either reduce it to 40k but with only space marines, or because they think you still need to shell out to forgeworld, or they just don't have the money or interest in collecting for a whole new game. It unfortunately puts heresy in this downwards spiral where its slowly getting less popular because people that would be into it see that it isn't very popular which makes other people not get into it etc etc.
Sad that there isn’t much of a HH community near Welland (spelling). I only watch HH batreps on this channel. I love HH so much! Not 2.0 necessarily, but still. Better than 40k. I appreciate this guest giving us HH fans some content. And I appreciate MWG airing this. You guys are awesome!
Turn 1 Raven Guard, should the Gal Vorbak have needed to take a pinning test from the nemesis bolter wounds their unit took? I know you tanked it on the Chaplain, but the Chaplain was still part of the unit at that time…
I like the funny man and straight man act you two have going on. It makes the viewing experience really comfortable and easy to follow. (I don't mind when players are screaming and yelling back/forth but I like it a lot when, at least, one of the players aren't super hyped up. It makes the game feel more casual, genuine, and comfortable). Great game and great players!
Why not put the Deliverers in Reserve to Deep Strike them? A unit of Battle Hardened Terminators with Talons and Shrouded 5+ is hard to dislodge. Toss in a Primus Medicae with Warhawk pack and you got a stew going baby.
I know it’s a bit pathetic to offer HH2.0 rule fixes, but here are my main suggestions 1. Remove heavy subtype nonsense. They nerfed artillery already with ap4, why give an armor reroll? It would make flamers useful again. The rules writers really had sex with dogs there. 2. Return fire reaction:either return fire at full ballistic skill and not fire following player turn, or fire reaction with snapshots and full BS the following player turn.
When the Tacticals took the charge from the Despoilers they would have won the tied combat because of the WB special rule. Great batrep, excited to see more!
I may not play HH. I may think HH is as dead as Sanguinius. But I am glad your the last reminents that are still making battle reports of this game. Nice video guys!

Reactions should just get thrown out and have the old overwatch. That entire system is garbage.

Ravenguard on a bike only get the be fit of their rule if they run...
Hawks: any model with this special rule gain the Shrouded 6+ special rule in any turn in which they run, move flat out, or move as a zooming flyer

Many other good channels around doing HH, way better than 40k
