Awesome interpretation. Excellent piano player with a lot of feeling and sense of rythm. Full of peotry and serenity. Such a peaceful and relaxing pleasure to listen. Big big like for this fabulous perform and magnificient sharing. Splendid and luminous!
@@pianothingsmusic No, it was arranged by Ovid Young. It is from The Exquisite Stylings of Ovid Young: Christmas; and if I recall correctly it was out of print. However, I found a couple of websites that you might be successful in finding it (I hope it's the same book; the cover is different). www.midwestsheetmusic.com/sheet-music/hal-leonard/08768158/the-exquisite-stylings-of-ovid-young-for-christmas/ www.halleonard.com/product/8768127/the-exquisite-stylings-of-ovid-young-for-christmas I hope you succeed, my friend!
I don`t know this song (sounds like "Morning has broken"). I always like to hear and watch you play my friend. I trust that you are ready to celebrate Christmas, with your loved ones Pam!
You are correct: this is the same melody as Morning has Broken! It's an old Gaelic melody. I just love the words that Mary MacDonald wrote about Jesus' birth! There is also a newer song called Child in a Manger, but I don't have a piano arrangement for that one. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family, Abie! Thanks for your friendship~
So utterly beautiful, Pam... it is a joy to be here now following you!!!! You really have delighted me big time, my new friend!!! Great performance! And a grand piano (or is it a baby), is always amazing!!! I used to play the piano in my youth, even professionally, but now I would just park a baby grand piano in my home, because I love them so much!
Thank you for listening in, Francisca! And thank you for the exclusive link to your new song--it's lovely! My grand is a 7-foot Mason & Hamlin and I feel very fortunate to be able to play this spectacular instrument. I am thankful for new friends!!
you are very welcome, Pam.... Thanks for agreeing to watch my video. Beautiful piano... I am very grateful for new friends too, be it in real life, be it online, I make no distinction and last year I even met a couple of online friends from NYC who came to visit and we spent one day with them. They love England and actually, it was them who introduced us to the beautiful location of my video for Caccini Ave Maria. Enjoy Christmas Eve...
Here again, listening to this beautiful song, trying to figure out what we could do together. This very beautiful song could be a great choice for next year. Or maybe it has lyrics that are not Christmas related. Do you know what the original name of this piece is?
Yes, this one is also a beautiful song! I'm not sure the original name; it's a traditional Gaelic melody. There are words that are not Christmas; it's also known as Morning Has Broken.
@@pamspiano8 Lovely, thanks for the information. I am awfully with putting names to songs. This is a very well-known melody, but as always, I don't know the name. Will search it by the new name you gave me, just to get an idea. Time for bed now and you are sending me to sleep soundly with this beautiful melody!!!! Good night.. .
