"I'm gonna put a motor in this thing in a few weeks and drive it". Same thing I said to myself when I picked up my 72 a couple of months ago. Oh well, it will be worth it when we get it all done.
Nice work saving this one. My goodness thats alot of rust. My 81 was also intended just to be a driver and ran into alot of the same issues once I got into it. Great video
Nice to see you back with the C10's brother! Holy Crap, that's friggen ambitious, total respect, I'd be petrified and not know where to start! Looking forward to part deux!😎
Its pretty awesome that you're skilled at welding to repair metal in the truck. If I want to save some money I'm gonna have to learn to weld to replace rusted drain behind the kicker air vent. Great video, I needed this as it is very educational for me!
If these trucks only knew how much we loved them 😂. My 72 is down to the frame currently, hoping to paint the frame within the next week or so. Then i can start assembly of the chassis. Once the cab is on ill be bouncing off the walls
@@BustedClassicGarage What gearing are you going to use? I am looking to make my C10 more of a highway cruiser, so I am looking at possibly 3.42 or 3.23 gearing for it
As far as drivetrain. Should I put the reliable 305 in out of the Camaro or build a 350 or 400 sbc?
If it’s just a driver, the 305 is fine. If you want some power, 350 or 400. Or you could do a 383.

For sure Kevin! Our time will come!
Thanks Bart. Great video. I am always learning a lot from your videos.
Thanks you!
Great video. I am really enjoying this. I hope to start soon on my 69.
Thanks, good luck with your project.

Oh yea its unreal! Maybe one year both of us will be able to drive our "intended to be a driver" projects. lol
@@BustedClassicGarage lol, I hope so

Trust me I felt the same way. But went for it anyways. Have to keep learning and pushing yourself no matter what.
All I can say Bart love the video and you are badass you do such nice work!!!
Thanks dude! That means a lot!

Nice, glad I could help. And definitely learn to weld, it's a great skill to have, especially if you are restoring these old classics.
About time!! Maybe drag week 2024.
Hahaha. Maybe! But most likely Cursemaro 2024
Awesome Video! Can't wait to see more of the progress. Too bad It couldn't just be stabbed with a new drivetrain and Roadkilled.
I mean it could of but the last owners friend told me they named it something like rattle trap or something along those lines. LOL

Oh man, ain't that the truth! Hahaha! I can't wait till my frame is all restored on my 71.
I wish guys like us could get our trucks all fixed up and have a meet-up somewhere. That would be way to fun
@zfdmax for sure probably wouldn't be till the year 2530... lmao! At least for me.
Almost ten thousand subs👍
Slowly getting there. Lol
I enjoy watching your videos, thanks! I have a '68 C10 that I am going to install a Muncie M20, curious as to what Muncie you are using...
Thanks man! I'm also going to use a M-20. Bought it for my 71 C-10 years ago. Thank for watching!!!

@@CarGuy2024 I'm going to run what's in it, 3.73.
i love your videos but at this point would it be better to find a new cab ??
Probably... But I like the challenge and have most of the parts already.
@@BustedClassicGarage OH.............................well carry on my good man lol
