I grew up in the UK my whole life but a few of my cousins live in a different city from me, like an hour away. And the rest of my family are in another country, 8hrs 30mins away by plane. I’ve always shifted between three different places visiting everyone. Everyone I love are in different parts of the world. Always has been. My parents want to move back across the world, where they grew up. This was always their plan so my home in the uk, which I’ve spent most of my life has never been permanent. I’m not sure I want to raise my family in the uk. I’ve always loved travelling. This leads one to come to a very different definition of home. I’m not tied to my hometown or this country or even my ethnic country. I’m rooted in feelings. Wherever I choose to call home, it’ll be because I feel and can offer the most love to myself and to those around me in that space. I loved hearing your definition!!

I am glad for the machine demonstration in the bathroom. As soon as I saw it I wondered what that thing did. Your look and your French is as fabulous as your studio. The tall windows, the shelf cubicles & the map are my favorite features. The stairs just scare me, because I'm an accident waiting to happen.

This vibes with me so much. I actually have a globe with 1900s world map on it, and also collect nick-nacks from the past. I love old intricate things with patterns and objects with history. I dislike the modern minimalist aesthetic where your house looks like a sterile laboratory. I want my living space to remind me of libraries, museums, art galleries and street markets. I want places to have character. Good to see people like you showing us to take a modern minimalist apartment and turn it into something beautiful.

Lovely. I myself am an artist/nomad, and my approach to housing is pretty similar - my home can be anywhere where I can plug my notebook, charge my cell, and hang on the wall a piece of art or at least lean it against the wall. A small kitchen with appliances like a fridge, stove, etc., a bathroom, and a separate bedroom also come in handy. My bonus is privacy, tons of lush greenery, huge windows, and of course, the 🖼 🖼and 📚. Good taste, continue!
