Since The Lovely Bride and I don't care about being entertained by any vehicle an AM/FM radio with a couple of speakers is fine, we can both read a road map and road signs, so we don't need GPS, rubber mats and manual seats, windows and transmissions work too. We only need the basics in any truck or car for that matter so a "fleet" level pickup with real 4X4 capability would be ideal for our uses if we had any intention of buying anything new. Thankfully though, the two pickups The Lovely Bride and I currently own are both paid for, and both give us everything we need and we don't have a truck payment that exceeds the one we pay on time every month for our home.
@@kathleenking47 We've only rarely found the need for GPS on our phones such as when driving (looking for a specific VA parking garage in Baltimore, for the first time, was a thing I must admit to) "in the big city" but thanks to street surface work the GPS could only get us to within three blocks of the hospital. The lady in the phone nearly had a melt down and had to be put in a time out because we were unable to/refused to follow her directions. After that, we just figured it out on our own and by following the detour signs. I know of several folks who have totally freaked out when their in-car/phone GPS systems did not/could not put them at "the front door" of their desired destinations because such systems do not, and as far as I know, cannot keep up with road work changes to an already mapped traffic pattern.

The cause is the brain dead management, not just at Ford. I work in manufacturing and these vehicles don't have to cost more than $30k- $35k considering the numbers that they're produced in. The problem is and has been in management for decades. What's happening today is simply the maturation of their incessant incompetency over the decades. The death knell first sounded loud with the 4 door Chevelle followed by the 4 door Charger. The Charger worked because there was no other choice. But the designers and engineers are out of touch. They're out of touch by the direction of the brain dead managements.

The problem is in a few years these trucks will still be 30k-40 used with 100k miles. What banks going to give the average person a 72 month loan for a vehicle like that. This is a long term problem not just a now problem. This is just a disaster in the waiting. Thanks for the videos speaking the truth brother.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that.
$65K for a 2 Door Bronco w. 4cyl. EcoBoost? Seriously? 😂😂😂. 😮....
Plus extra fees and taxes looks like over 70
Welcome to the world of Bidenomics. Tent ⛺️ = House. Auto 🚙= Apartment House.😅
Haha
7 trillions debt left from the 🤡
Politics aside still have idiots paying outrageous prices and financing for 80 months at 7% plus…fueling the industry. People just need to stop buying all together.
As long as fools keep paying these prices, the prices will remain high.
Yes yes yes buyers caused this
Broncos are total crap.Wind noise . Horrible ride.
Rough and tumble
Hey M, you know I luv your posts and knowledge, I wish I could comment on everyone to get that algorithm running in your favor. I do binge your channel here at work and the takeaways are endless for me. Always wishing you and the fam the best in life ✌️💚
I really appreciate that and I know it’s hard to see everyone, but it’s great to see the support.
Ford rangers are fine. Give me a full truck bed, and NA. I don't want that turbo crap on a work truck. Also give me a regular cab plz.
Ok, well you just described everything the Ranger is not. Nissan Frontier got you covered though. I had one, it's a good truck.
And a frame
I own a 4Runner with 425,500 miles. I took care of her, but she is getting old. If I actually knew someone who would properly restore....I don't; but at least I would have a rebuilt engine, noise mitigation and all the little stuff fixed. I would pay that rather than buy a 4Runner with a lawn mower engine. EPA has ruined these companies. Problem is that even though I know mechanics, they are getting rich right now so a proper restoration is damn near impossible. Paid one joker $525 to replace my leaking Valve cover gaskets!!! Lasted about about 6 months. Shaudy work and over-confident pillheads. I'm screwed. Guess I will buy a hooptie
They do run a long time
Let them back up on their lots. There is not a vehicle made worth more than 30k.
***These idiots and their EV development adds $20K onto the price of every ICE vehicle they sell. We are all paying for EVs weather we want to or Not
Looking back, i got my 20 Tundra for 51 000 CAD. That was a steal. I owned ine Ford, i will NEVER EVER own a second. Ford is absolute junk.
Tundra was a great choice. The old 5.7 is a work horse and the new 3.4 is fun and time will tell on the durability. I have the faith
i keep rolling my 1981 oldsmobiles. keep you 100 000 $ trash truck. your right people are not fool anymore.
My 2001 F150 super crew has 200k on it. It's paid for and still runs great ! New vehicles are a rip off.
Thanks. I am looking to buy a high end / ton truck, but am watching all you utubers to find the sweet spot on when to buy. I can afford to buy whatever I want, but why pay more? You are a great help and I like your collaboration with the others on the state of the automotive and general economic situation. The reason some people have money is they aren't loose with it. keep up the good work.
Right on!
EVERYONE knows cars are overpriced so I dont understand why prices don’t go down.
Yes indeed
The first Lariat was a custom order that was not picked up …Also those are not tie downs on the hood, they are tire guides. Yes Ford has increased the price of their product to rapidly and it is not working for their potential customers.
Hey do we know what engines have the leaking fuel injectors? 1.5? 2.0? Both?
1.5 from what I have seen
I would never buy anything from Ford with a 2.7 . This engine has a rubber band driving the oil pump. All of it running in motor oil. When the rubber band breaks, it's done. I suspect it would last about 98k miles. You Tubes " I Do Cars " has a video on the subject.
Sounds like a brutal design and that’s also why the Ecosport is a disaster too. Oil pump driven by a belt?
Forgot the markups!
Yes
$69,000 is ridiculous for a little beer can with wheels! Getting screwed for junk!
Wow! Dispensing raw fuel??? And the Band Aid was approved for production. Cats out of the bag now. Why not fix the leaking injector problem?? Why is anything less than that accepted?
100 percent agree. What’s with the band aid?
That’s a great idea and my video tomorrow actually addresses this and follow the dollar over the specific color or package or set of options.
Cellphones read GPS
you don't need the one in car
Every week guys like this make videos and then I look at the prices and they actually go up.
Haha, they are dropping but, if not on that sticker, there are many more incentives out there and willingness to deal with
Driving some of 12:28 my classic cars as everyday vehicle's. No electronics, tracking or headaches. And no deprecated value. Got to use them while gas still available. Have had my 69 mustang 52 years and just unimaginable todays crap going on unimaginable unimaginable
I'm keeping my 18 year old stick shift Pontiac (Toyota inside) Vibe. A bullet proof engine, great reliability, screen free, non turbo- simple, rugged and affordable. Unless the auto makers offer something very similar, I'll keep it until I fall off my perch.
Easy to maintain, that’s important
Let them rot in the lots. I want to start an automaker that make reliable and comfortable traditional sedans, coupes, convertibles, and station wagons that are all electric and have amazing range. Also the station wagons have an available towing package and can to an airstream. Also the trunk roof is removable so you can haul a fridge, etc.
You can get a deal, but then you would own a Ford.
That’s a fair comment
Even if the manufactured dropped prices 25% …prices still too high!
50% is still nuts with insurance and all.
Rangers cost MORE than F150s should.
They need to try 30,000.00 a truck they made of plastic. They might sell then.
Yes for sure
Dealers are coming around on inventory that has been sitting. I recently had a dealer price me a ‘24 XLT with the FX4 package for $45k. No miles on it. I believe sticker price was $62k.
That sounds like they were a bit more motivated
Cars will be the new trucks.
Remove trunk lid, add bungee cords and straps.
Nice
I tried to buy a Ford 150 Tremor cash. The dealer refused to work with me on any discounts and could not have cared less if I bought a vehicle. A very odd experience.
I haven't bought a new vehicle in a few years and I sold them during the used car over price time. Now if I need a vehicle I buy used after research.
That’s the most cost effective way and I have always done that
Duh that is not true I was on a Ford dealership yesterday the escapes about 32 is still overpriced though
SUCCESS
Fratelo.❤
cheers
These prices are great. They should be even more so even more people can not buy them.
Would it be any cheaper to import new vehicles into Canada from USA? The prices for Canadian seem to be a lot higher even with the currency exchange rates.
I have looked into it, but we lose on that exchange and then inspection/transport/ admin costs. There are little incentives in doing that. A few years ago when the Canadian dollar was close to par, there were many doing it, but not sure we will see that for a long time.
Now days when you buy a new vehicle, you don’t look like your doing well….. You look like a fool who throws his money away. 😂😂😂
💯
Most are getting repoed now. Record numbers
Ford pickups now cost more than what I paid for my house 😂… insanity…. I can’t believe these prices….
I own a 2017 F150 4X4 FX4 XLT 302A 5.0L COYOTE 93k miles on it. Fully paid for, and I will never trade it or get rid of it. It listed for $48k in 2017 but it was a demo so i paid 43k.
Too funny, I agree way over priced-I was a Ford dealer in Michigan in the 90 s selling F 150 s xlt for 14,000 ,ceo Farley said you need to make 125K a year to afford their trucks now- based on other costs to -Housing , food , car -the industry is dead- when the average guy cant afford a basic truck-repos way up- and going higher-I went to the auctions in Detroit every week and watched 1000 cars a week go through the repo lines of Ford motor credit and GMAC-in 2 years you wont recognise the world-auto and Home owners Insurance the next shoe to drop-going through the roof ,TIC TOC =BOOOOOOM -The world was far better off when Henry Ford only paid 5 bucks a day wage-its not how much you make- its what you can buy, with what you make thats important
The writing is on the wll for EV's - biggest waste of industrial capital this century.Govts are going to have to listen to the people.Hybrid was the sensible step to take but the powers that be thought otherwise.I am sticking with my 2019 VW Golf that was 9 months old when i bought it for almost 60% of original list price.I love it!!!😎
Yes it is going to be an interesting time
TY 👍
You are welcome
that's no stinking CUT'S ..the cut's will be 50% or more now that's a cut...................
Unions and greedy ford execs are tanking ford. Oh let's demand 48 dollars an hour and shorter work days and see how long it takes before we're out of a job....duhhhhhhhhh
Still waaay to much. Going to keep driving my 2004 Buick
Nice
