Super helpful and straightforward
Just a minor aside... Although I wouldn't personally recommend aftermarket headlights in the 2nd gen (worse usable light output than stock in basically every aftermarket Chinese headlight assy made, if you have the money go with a nice retrofit from someone reputable)BUT if you do... always make sure to seal the headlight housing along the seam with some RTV before you install. Your flipping a coin if you don't and will likely end up with moisture in one headlight if not both. And most importantly, always readjust your lights after replacement, lest you want to possibly blind people or suffer poor light performance on the road.

One question I have is about how you adjusted the headlights on the car. Why did you lower one side lower than the other. And I didn't hear it made explicit about how much we should lower the beams from the axis point
So I just started to change headlights andt thought Id make a few comments about taking the grill off. Im doing this on Sunday when my dealer is closed and they usually have to order every thing anyway. My 2012, while being 2nd gen, has 4 of those pins. Two same as vid and 2 inside and down. I used a small screwdriver and lightly pulled up on pins. 3 of the 4 disintegrated when they came out, so I'd recomend buying some before you start. They aren't expensive. Moving on to the "just gently pull up on the grill and it will come out" step. There must be something else different on 2012 cause mine isnt budging. If I pull any harder it will break. Sigh.

Re, my 2012 6cyl 4x4 Tacoma 2nd gen. The grill does NOT lift up. There are 8 tabs at the bottom of the grill that go into 8 slots on the bottom front body panel attached to a metal cross member.
Wiggling one of the end tabs and pulling it foward not up, gets it loose and the rest come out like a zipper. So look for these tabs before breaking your grill.

on my '15 trd pro, the bezel under each light comes off differently, there is no push clip but an anchor type retainer.. and on the grille it does not pull up, it pulls straight out. i was also able to reach those side screws from under the truck, with out removing the dust guard thing. took about 90 mins total, so not too bad. i figured out the trick to getting the assy OUT of there, they sure dont make it easy haha

Great video but this is the 2nd video I've watched where the bolt under the wheel well plastic, goes in like a breeze, this is completely inaccurate, its extremely difficult to get to removal and installing, I know, I did it today.

Okay. Got done doing this. Great video. The only hard part is that lower screw. I could not get it tight. Impossible without further disassembly.

Aha! Cordless ratchet….. headed to Home Depot!
The 10mm bolt on the side was IMPOSSIBLE to remove and reinsert for me. The video was great but those of you doing a replacement be ready for lots of cussing, scratches, and bruising! You basically have to be a contortionist to get to it and you can't see it, it is all done by feeling. Terrible design.
I assumed that Pita up front but will remove my front wheels. May help some. Also have a small digital scope that’s handy working blind areas.
