सन 1968 ला माझा जन्म झाला आज मी 55 वर्षाचा आहे मी बालपणापासून हे गीत माझ्या आई वडिलां सोबत ऐकत आलेलो आहे सुरुवातीला रेडिओ वर सकाळी सकाळी हे भक्ती गीत ऐकू यायचे त्यावेळी मला या गाण्याचा अर्थ देखील कळत नव्हता परंतु या सुंदर भक्ती गीताने आमच्या घराची शुभ सकाळ व्हायची माझी आई सौ निर्मला बाई झाल्टे महाराज हीचे मुखी हे भक्ती गीत नेहमीच असायचे तिच्या गोड आवाजात ती हे गीत स्वयंपाक करतांना नेहमी गुणगुणायची हळूहळू काळ बदलत गेला सन 1983 मध्ये आमच्या घरी आमच्या आई-वडिलांनी बहिणीने टेप रेकॉर्डर घेतला नॅशनल पॅनासॉनिक या विदेशी टेप रेकॉर्डर वर हे गीत आम्ही कॅसेट लावून ऐकायचो कान तृप्त होत होते परंतु हा चित्रपट पाहण्याचा योग मला कधीच झाला नाही आई सन 2017 मध्ये आम्हाला सोडून देवाघरी गेली आज अचानक सकाळी सकाळी जाग आल्यावर या गोड गीताची व माझ्या आईची मला अचानक आठवण झाली माझे डोळे भरून आले आणि मी आपले यूट्यूब चॅनल ऑन केले आणि हे की मला माझे विसरलेले भावलेले पावलेले गीत आज प्रत्यक्ष माझ्या डोळ्यांनी पाहण्याचा आणि ऐकण्याचा योग माझ्या 92 वर्षांच्या पित्ताश्री वेद शास्र संपन्न श्री चंद्रकांतराव झाल्टे महारज यांच्या सोबत आला मन कसं तृप्त तृप्त तृप्त झालं आणि आनंदी आनंद झाला या क्षणी माझ्या वयोवृत्त पिताश्री यांच्या चेहऱ्यावर जे गोड भाव आले ते मी कधीच विसरू शकत नाही कोटी कोटी प्रणाम युट्युब आणि या चॅनलचे प्रमुख यांना माझे कोटी कोटी प्रणाम आणि कोटी कोटी धन्यवाद आणि कोटी कोटी शुभेच्छा व कोटी कोटी शुभेच्छा आशीर्वाद आपल्या सर्वाना व आपल्या कुटूंबाना आम्ही आपले आभारी आहोत 🙏🙏💜

Yes. Karnataka and Maharashtra are two bodies having one soul, one culture. Kannada people can't be separated from vittala. We sing abhangs in all temples. We have gnaneshwari in libraries. Purandara dasa and vittala are inseparable. Vittala is king of karnataka. We were told that Marathi people are our 'forgotten kannada brother's. But relationships never die. Kings and queens of kannada protected not only shivana maharajs sons but also fought against mughals hand in hand with Marathi army. I dont have words to describe the emotion i got during this song. The temple is situated at olden days political Kannada speaking region (Hoysala, Chalukya and Rasthrakuta). Today it is at the border of the political Karnataka-Maharasthra states - Solapur District.
The earliest temple and temple land was endowed and built by Hoysala, Chalukya and Rasthrakutas only. The temple architecture belongs to the Hoysala - Vasara Style. Dating between 6th CE to 12th CE, it was a centre for Kannada Haridasa congregations since 8th CE and hailed as Vittala. Many of the Haridasa's name had Vittala as suffix.
this temple and worship only came very much later into Marathi's fold.
This song lyrics were written by Gajanan Digambar Maadulkar in 1940s not an ancient traditional abhang, the reference for "Kaanada" of Lord Vittal was taken from Jynaaneswar's work.

Those who are asking what does kanada mean in this song.. Pandarpur and most of Maharashtra was ruled by many kannada kingdoms approximately 500ad to 1400ad from chalukyas to Rashtrakootas. Vitthala temple was constructed by a kannada king from hoysala dynesty called vishnuvardhana during 13th century. Hence kanada reference in the song.... Having said that, this movie and this song was remade it to kannada also.
Chalukyas were originally from modern day Karnataka but Rashtrakutas have origins from modern day vidarbha in Maharashtra
@@paritoshthakar6648 there was no Maharashtra before 12th century.... It was ruled by kannada kings till 13th century....and rashtrkootas kings were kannada origins clearly found in thousands of inscriptions in kannada and kings also signed in Kannada even they ruled in Maharashtra and gujrat...

The origin of Rashtrakuta is controversial though the later kings certainly emphasized more on Kannada and Sanskrit.
Their name, rashtrakuta is linked with Ratta as well which according one theory why it gave rise to Mahratta or was taken from it. Just like Indus river had links with India, Hindu or so. The same way maharashtra-rashtrakuta-ratta-mahratta-marathi had links with each other.
Kannada was surely the official language for couple of centuries in present day maharashtra but since the arrival of Yadavas, Marathi became the dominant language till the rise of Maratha Empire, Though, It's going down now in the official state of maharashtra.
It's been said that many people in present day maharashtra had kannada origin but have become marathi now because of more prominence of Marathi related things in later stages of this country just like how your ancestors were marathi but now, you have adopted kannada over a course of period as your mothertongue(I'm assuming you as a kannadiga due to your first name). Names like kulkarni, deshpande, patil have no meaning in kannada but have marathi origin.

By the way Kulkarni is Kannada surname due to close ties during chalukya time, ppl in Maharashtra used that name.... I have seen a stone inscription 1100 year old written in kannada mentioning Kulkarni in it (marathi was not even a language at that time).... I can show you that stone inscription if u can read Kannada

I meant that Marathi language's started becoming more prominent from that point onwards during Yadava's rule who believed to have started as a kannadiga empire and ended up being a Marathi empire. It doesn't mean that Marathi originated from their era. Marathi was already there and Yadava being a ruling empire simply picked up the local language and made it their own. Marathi originated from Maharashtri Pakrit and Maharashtri Pakrit goes back 2000 years and through a phase over the centuries gave birth to Marathi and Konkani.
Also, The oldest inscription of Marathi language is found in present day Karnataka. So, Evidently, Language and cultural exchange have been happening from a long time between kannada and Marathi community.
Kulkarni is a combination of Kula and Karnika which i believe don't have any meaning in Kannada... You can correct me if i'm wrong since i don't know kannada but those words certainly have a meaning in Pakrit, Pali and Marathi language, So, If anything, Kulkarni originated from Marathi or it's ancestral language.
Even if Kulkarni originated from Kannada, 90% of kulkarnis are Marathis today which probably means that they became Marathi at some point of time.
