My foot feels really constricted where the skate feels tightly on and I can lift the entire skate without any heel slip without the skate being laced up or buckled. Does it sound like my skate is too small, or is it just a matter of breaking it in? I wanted to ask you because it looks like the tongue of your liner is not pushing out, and I'm not sure just how tight is good or too tight, if there should be no room where the toes are, or some room? I'm having a lot of trouble with knowing what the right size is because some people say aggressive skates should be really tight for control, but I don't really know what that means. Would you mind mentioning your foot length in cm and the size of skates you went with? Thanks!
Hey man sorry for the late response. I’m gonna try to make a video response for you but in the meantime long story short I measured my foot in inches and sit exactly between 10 and 10 1/2 (about 27cm) and that is the exact size I got. They fit my feet perfect to where my toes don’t necessarily touch the edge of the boot but there’s also not much room in there. (If there is any room it’s like a cm) I would describe the fit as snug. Hey from what I know your skates should be kinda snug but not to the point where they are restricting blood flow or anything. Hello, I believe the "basics" which are the budget version of the Aeons only come in black. Pro models typically have some better hardware like liners, buckles that sort of thing and come in different colors but are a bit more expensive. I am still riding the Aeon basics every day and I would recommend them if you are trying to keep costs down. You can always upgrade things yourself over time. If you have the money go for the pro's as you will be future proofing yourself in a sense.
I still love my carbons and use them all the time. They currently serve as my big wheel set up. I have some clear Kizer frames that were given to my by a friend plus 72mm compass wheels to go with them. The only issue I have with them is I get blisters on my left ankle if I skate for too long and with certain socks. Otherwise they are great especially if you want something versatile between aggressive and big frame setups.
My feet were not burning personally. You are the second person this week to leave a similar comment though so I guess some people are experiencing that. Might look into getting some different liners

what was wrong with your carbons you decided to switch?
I still love my carbons and use them all the time. They currently serve as my big wheel set up. I have some clear Kizer frames that were given to my by a friend plus 72mm compass wheels to go with them. The only issue I have with them is I get blisters on my left ankle if I skate for too long and with certain socks. Otherwise they are great especially if you want something versatile between aggressive and big frame setups.

my feet burn a bit did yours initialy ?
My feet were not burning personally.
You are the second person this week to leave a similar comment though so I guess some people are experiencing that. Might look into getting some different liners
@@TwoQs are there affordable options? Intuitions are £££
I’m still rockin the stock liners for now because intuition are so expensive. I’ve seen a lot of people say reign liners are a good fit if you can find them. Sorry I can’t be of more help. If I find any other info I’ll keep you updated.
@@TwoQs then seem ok .. took a LOOOOOONG two weeks of using bottles in the boot to open them up. But skated for 40min outside and they felt ok. Then started to tire… I’m hoping they will relax a bit more as i cant return them now
The strap piece you cut, does that go on top or underneath the other side??
Hey if im understanding your question correctly I cut the piece that is underneath.
@@TwoQs so the strap on the buckle side sits on top of the side you cut when fastening the skate?
I guess you haven't tied the 45 degrees lace buckle..
