Great review! I’ve been skating the basic 60 II 2020 models. I didn’t have any problem with the stock liner either, but recently upgraded to MyFit Recall liners. Man, what a difference. I feel way more sure-footed now and they are super comfortable. Also, this raised portions on the soul plates are there on mine too.

Very strange, that cuff looks like it’s effortlessly flexing forwards with barely any resistance. I have aeons with the older cuff and they don’t do that, wonder if that’s a new thing or it’s to do with the basic liner? Also, you can remove that metal loop thing and lace straight through the hole there

No way carbons are slower than Aeons?
Admittedly I've never skated Aeons, but that's shocking if true cuz I've used the carbon soul plate and also the seven soul plate (pretty similar) on other skates than they were intended for and they always slid good. It may all be hear say, but I always hear complaints about the Aeons what with it being one material throughout and all that jazz.
Anyway cool video. Also that bit you cut under your buckle, I only found out recently that USD make them like that with the scored lines so you can cut them to size, pretty cool right?
    I'm sure it's common knowledge, but I'm clueless, why 2QS? ✌️

This has made me more certain that these might be a good option for me.

I'm a pretty skinny dude, so I was a little concerned when you said that the boot was largely being held on by the laces and not the cuff, but then you said it felt better after you modified them and moved the buckle back. Do you think that's going to be an issue for someone with a pretty skinny leg? Also, other than the liner, are there any significant differences between this and the team version? Cheer.

Hey Man, sorry to bombard you with more questions, but I have another question for you, this time abut sizing. So my foot measures 24.2cm at it's longest, and the size 5-6 Aeon 60 I got says the size range is 22.9cm - 24.2, so I am right at the largest size allowance. When the skate is on, it's a super tight fit, to the point where the bottom of the tongue pushes out of the liner and my toe is right against the end of the skate. My foot feels really constricted where the skate feels tightly on and I can lift the entire skate without any heel slip without the skate being laced up or buckled. Does it sound like my skate is too small, or is it just a matter of breaking it in? I wanted to ask you because it looks like the tongue of your liner is not pushing out, and I'm not sure just how tight is good or too tight, if there should be no room where the toes are, or some room? I'm having a lot of trouble with knowing what the right size is because some people say aggressive skates should be really tight for control, but I don't really know what that means. Would you mind mentioning your foot length in cm and the size of skates you went with? Thanks!

    • @TwoQs
      @TwoQs  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hey man sorry for the late response. I’m gonna try to make a video response for you but in the meantime long story short I measured my foot in inches and sit exactly between 10 and 10 1/2 (about 27cm) and that is the exact size I got. They fit my feet perfect to where my toes don’t necessarily touch the edge of the boot but there’s also not much room in there. (If there is any room it’s like a cm)
I would describe the fit as snug. Not necessarily tight and definitely not constricting in any way. It does sound like your boots might be a little too small.
I had the same issue with them 908. The medium were barely too small but the large were too big. Different liners might have helped but I just ended up getting these aeons instead.

    • @mountainpeakcloud8442

@@TwoQs Thanks so much for you response, it's very helpful. I really appreciate your willingness to make a response video, but certainly not necessary. I'm actually leaning towards different skates now as I seem to not only be in between Aeon sizes, but I'm also realizing that I will be doing more urban skating since I don't really have a skate park close by. I really like the aggressive style boot, but I'm not sure they provide enough support for the height of a 4x80 frame, as some people have suggested, but I maybe wrong.
I've narrowed my search down to the following skates that are either aggressive ufs skates or more dedicated urban skates with a less "bicycle helmet" aesthetic:
      Razor Shift www.inlinewarehouse.com/Razors_Shift_Camo/descpage-10RSC.html
Aggressive aesthetic, narrow fitting, higher cuff, but still concerned about urban skating support
      Roces M12 www.inlinewarehouse.com/Roces_M12_Lo_Team_Chestnut/descpage-M12213.html
Agressive aesthetic, narrow fitting, concerned about the low cuff for support, would prefer a removable heel pad.
      K2 Uptownwww.inlinewarehouse.com/K2_Uptown/descpage-211801.html
Aggressive aesthetic, good support, ufs, but concerned that it's too wide fitting as some have suggested.
      Powerslide Next Core 80 www.inlinewarehouse.com/Powerslide_Next_Core_80/descpage-908329.html
Less aggressive aesthetic, but not as "bicycle helmet" as other urban skates, perfect for urban, have read about quality control issues.
      FR UFS AP www.inlinewarehouse.com/FR_Aggressive_Skates/catpage-FRSKTYPES1.html
Kind of aggressive aesthetic, could work well for urban support.
I know this is a lot, but if you have any thoughts, I'm all ears.
