    Duuuude the plastic tabs tip changed my life! I was getting so fed up with these buckles not staying down and constantly catching them on eachother. Now they're perfectly snug and stay put. Thanks for pointing that out!

    Expensive bearings have better tolerances so you feel dirt and damage easier than with cheaper bearings

    • @BlackyRay_Patrick
      @BlackyRay_Patrick 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Can't really support that claim....
      Since I bought my first wicket abec 9 bearings I finally don't hear and feel dust and dirt instantly when I leave the street. Even rain doesn't matter. At least for multiple session....

    • @ryn_pail
      @ryn_pail 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@BlackyRay_Patrick and Wicked Abec 9 bearings are on the "cheaper" end of abec 9 bearings. So maybe that's the sweet spot.

    • @BlackyRay_Patrick
      @BlackyRay_Patrick 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ryn_pail abec 9 bearings are still higher priced than abec 5 and 7 of nearly any brand.
      So price alone seems not to be the important point.
      Logically it doesnt even make sense to me.
      I would say what matters the most are the sealings and which oil or fat is used for the bearings....

    • @zackmarkham4240
      @zackmarkham4240 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BlackyRay_Patrick It's a combination of both, quality doesn't mean price and price doesn't mean quality. But Wicked seem to be a sweet spot between those two, their price means quality. Also, the higher the rating means the tighter the tolerances, meaning the higher the price. Tighter the tolerance, means less space for dirt, dust, and water to get in as well as less space for things to get loose creating rattling or any other sounds. So, no matter the price or brand, an Abec 9 will be better quality than an Abec 5 from the same brand. At least, that's how I understand it.

    • @BlackyRay_Patrick
      @BlackyRay_Patrick 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@zackmarkham4240 yes but what you say is exactly the opposite of what the furst Person said.
      The first Person said expensive bearings would have more tolerance and you would feel dirt earlier....
      I would also understand it as you say it. Since higher class bearings are obviously more expensive this will also increase quality of fat sealings and existing space and changes of making noise.
      But the other Person told the opposite thing.

    Sounds like these skates could be greatly improved by adding on the wing-shaped cuff supports found on USD Sway Chris Farmer's and Gawds Tim Franken's. Both have thin, stiff foam pieces that Velcro to the back of the liners to increase stiffness and support. They do wonders for locking in your foot and eliminating heel lift. I tried the TF1 wings on my Powerslide Next MyFit Recall liners and it feels amazing and locked in. I just don't know if these wings are sold separately because I've spent an embarrassing amount of time skate shopping online and have never seen them.

    I ride on freeskates rollers and I do grabs and slides on them. I wanted to add grinds to my skating, so these skates will by perfect for me. But I have one question: Is it possible to do slides like powerslide or parrel slide on these roller skates?

    Hey Ricardo, been watching your channel for a while now. Love your content ❤️
    I just had someone break into my car and steal my aggressive skates.
    I can't afford to pay my deductible on my insurance so it doesn't really matter that I was insured I can't repair my window or replace my skates.

    I don’t really see the point of this skate. You are better off buying a UFS boot and a couple of different frames if you are thinking about aggressive but not ready to commit. Or just buy a proper free style skate.
    The 60mm Aeon is great because it’s full on aggressive, no compromise because you don’t need to change the frame. I suppose as there is not a great deal of cost associated with the moulding change it’s an easy skate to make… so that’s why it exists. But it’s very niche.

    • @Rollerbalder
      @Rollerbalder 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I will agree that it's niche, but I think you really need to skate them to understand. They are a great compromise between FSK and aggressive. The shell is super supportive and responsive due to the one-piece design, and there's not really a 4x80 UFS frame that has this large of an H-block on the market. It's also going to sit lower than a UFS boot with a big wheel setup.
      So I see your point, but I think there are lots of people who really love the skate and for whom it suits their style of skating. I skate mostly park and this is one of the skates I use most frequently.

    • @319isthename
      @319isthename 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Rollerbalder yup, I’m one of those happy users. They’re my only set since Feb ‘20 and I use them on the street and in the park.
      But even as a happy user I’m still familiar with the thoughts and doubts that Thomas brought to the table. Especially when my progress is lacking, I always wonder if not having the most dedicated skate setup means that maybe a lot of extra effort is needed to overcome my inabilities.

      I also wouldn't like to drive to a Skatepark by car and changing frames permanently is also extremely annoying. So this will definitely be my next skate to visit a
