    This is absolutely incredible. Subscribed for sure! If we wanted to clean up straight points that acid isn't removing the heavy minerals on can we just buy a cheap flat lap of Amazon and sand down the edges and then polish the crystals back luster wise with like an oxide polish etc.? Thanks for your advice!

      The larger the crystal surfaces to be processed, the more complex the cutting and polishing is. In principle it is possible. However, you will need some diamond grinding wheels or topper laps from coarse to fine grit. Hard felt discs and metal discs for polishing. I personally use my Lapida 800 from Hamag Maschinenbau for such work. Runs constantly at 800 revs, takes up hardly any space, the machine can be used horizontally and vertically, making it also ideal for smaller sawing jobs.

    After this beautiful cutting, how much is this stone worth, roughly. I don't want to buy it, I am thinking of learning how to cut stones and gems

      Hi Andrea,
      I know that a lot of people would like to know an exact number, but you have to look at each stone individually and it doesn't mean anything if I tell them the stone is now worth X$. It always depends on the color the cut the clarity and the size of a Gem. In General one can say complexer Designs are higher in pricing than simple cuts. An ultra-precise cut requires a lot of work. Don't make it dependent on any numbers whether you want to cut gems, just whether it gives you joy and fulfills you.

      @@GermanGemcutter But individually, this one from the video, how much would cost?, what was your price?

    Hi there... Great job👍👍👍
    Do u use the simple CA glue? Or UV cured one?🤔

    • @GermanGemcutter
      @GermanGemcutter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Thanks, mainly I use a standard 5 min epoxy. When used CA i have had the simple Version.

    • @evgenyk.4681
      @evgenyk.4681 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GermanGemcutter anyway after 5 min epoxy u must wait for 13 hours for proper cure.. correct?

    • @GermanGemcutter
      @GermanGemcutter  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evgenyk.4681 Right Buddy, but I usually wait 24 hours before I start cutting, it's definitely safe. I have seen some Gemcutter using the UV CA they start cutting instantly, it can be an advantage 👍

    Hi there...
    Tell me please if u make heart form, do u make the notch on the top?
    Someone think that it is the bad manner... that it is wasting the material if u don't have fantasy machine...
    However people think that heart with notch looks much better...
    What is your opinion?

    • @amorin329
