- Highlighting the importance of sheepdogs on Australian rural properties and not an easy task for the dogs or their handlers, these trials really put their skills to the test. The remarkable sheepdogs respond to whistles and commands from their handlers as they round up sheep, moving them through and around obstacles on a set course.
This is delightful! The music, not so much. I love to see people, or dogs, doing what they do at a very high skill level.
music is annoying... lol
So awesome we adopted a heeler he's so smart never have a dog. He's not just a dog he's a family member . He needed all we could do for him but also he has given me so much love an perfection . Thank you

Magical. This Woman anchor is phenomenal
Man asking the real questions, was thinking the exact same things lol
I have no clue how I ended up here but shout out to that guy asking a million questions
herding dogs are truly some of the most intelligent dogs. Border collies, Collies, Aussies, German Shepherds…I could go on and on and on. Anyone wanting one of these dogs as a lazy house pet will be very disappointed. Used to have a Border Collie x Blue Heeler mix. She was so smart, active, and sweet. RIP Bonnie girl ♥️
Bonnie! I had and Aussie, Lucky. We lived at the parks. She loved the huge ones in Colorado.
We had an Australian Cattle Dog, (not the shepherd, with longer hair) they have also been called Red Heelers, or Blue Heelers. Our Josta was old, blind, wore diapers (she had NO control over her bladder, the poor dear) We (my son and I) babied her, she always slept on a bed, either my son's or mine. She was so energetic, right up til she went blind, then she was stuck to one or the other of us all the time. She was a good girl and very loving. We had to send her on to the next part of her journey, about 7 months or so ago, she no longer was happy and wagging her tail, she still enjoyed being loved on, but she was in so much pain, the vet could not help her or make her better, she was old and she came into our lives as an unhealthy rescue dog. She was well loved and the vet told us we did all we could for her, we took her to him for about 12 yrs. He gently and kindly gave her the injection and off to sleep and onward to rainbow bridge she went.
This video came up immediately after a video of my border collie came up on Snapchat. She’s no longer here with us but I still feel her with me. My girl was herding horses since she was a puppy!
Awesome! My Border Collies, who have never seen a sheep, were also impressed by Eddie.
Athens, Georgia, USA
This has to be the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen
Lovely bordercolly, smart, fast, social best dogs in the world
I can't get enough of this stuff. I am amazed what they can get dogs to do and I couldn't get my human children to do anything close.
Very intelligent dog. Extremely well trained. I may be from Melbourne but I love rural Oz.
This is a remarkable show.
I would have liked it a lot more if the background music was non-existent.
Praise THE MOST HIGH for HIS creation.
Amazing, and the filming, ah amazing.
Thank you for sharing - the sheep dogs I mean 🙏🏾
God bless the all
I use that same stare down to make my kids behave
Watching this with my border collie at my side. She very much enjoys this.
What's with the music? It's irritating and eliminates any chance of hearing the handlers communication. I wonder if it interferes with the dogs understanding as well. Not exactly real world conditions.
Look in the info you can see it
Literal real world situation
Man they're fast! Great dog. LOVE this pooch!
Eddy was incredible!
nice to watch with the volume turned off.

Why must everything have annoying background music ? Were people born in a damn muzac elevator ?
The shape went over the breach.
I enjoy the term 'anti-clockwise'. This is how I describe not setting a morning alarm for 4 years now!
Thanks, really enjoyed this and makes me miss when I used to run ours in trials a couple of decades ago. Our 14 week old Border Collie is showing a lot of eye, but our 14 week old Great Dane pup he’s using it on doesn’t understand what language he’s speaking.
🤣🤣🤣🤣`yea My Zeke herds cats but only because the cats are building his self esteem and regularly let him know it!
You should ask the girl from 'Britain's Got Talent' to train the dogs, she doesn't use a stick... Her dog does back flips and tap dances! 😂
When I took my Border to a sheep dog trial, it got two years.
I took mine and they said I was leading the witness
OMG! I read this and then read the reply and didn't "get" it, at first... so I went on to the next comment down and suddenly it HIT ME!
It was a joke with a great punch line and then whammo! @mknightshaman made the next comment which added to the humor and I nearly pmsl. Way too funny, and it's past my bedtime I am getting sleepy-silly.
Thank yous both, for the laughs! Rosey

My Aussie German shepherd mix gets that same walk and attentive look when we bring the chickens and ducks in!!
WONDERFUL DOGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
unwatchable due to music, how can those poor dogs concentrate?
The music has a purpose it's to make it more difficult for the dogs and to showcase their abilities to ignore things like that !
you've obviously never been to trials.
What are you talking about the music isn’t even that loud lol
They just said they use weak sheep that are more scared I'd love to see the stubborn sheep.
멋진 소 모리 개!
My dog is a 2 year old border collie. She behaves exactly like this when I bring her to our dog park.
So beautiful
That's really cool
Difficult to hear all of what is being explained with that background music.
Just curious if the background music is playing at the event or is it added. Distracting 😩
So farmers in Australia also listen to country music?
People listen to country music all over the world
Correct
My BC behaves this way around toddlers 😂
Babe would have put these silly border collies to shame.
Baa, Ram, Ewe. lol
I miss my border collies
No commands from the owner
Loads of dogs are capable... All collies not just border, huntaways, German shepherds (clue in the name), etc.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
This is a test for the highest IQ right.
Hey may be saying away (right) go be (left) down stay
Sprites
Intelligence is a relative thing. Compared to the dog, the sheep aren't too smart. I have an aussi collie and it is the smartest dog I have ever known.
The sheep routed a few collies so not that dumb
Far am ewe, sheep be true.
Baa Ram Ewe
I agree about the music. I don't watch programmes with rubbish music. Some idiot has decided it sounds good
Huh!

the sheep literally pissing and shitting themselves while being herde =0
Do you know that sheep piss and shit themselves all the time? They don't use a toilet like humans or dig a hole like cats.
The music sucks and is distracting.
29:55 - I’m sorry, but did he SERIOUSLY just hit that dog?! What exactly did the dog do to deserve that?? 🤨🤷♀️
its a dog
It looked to me like he gave his dog a firm quick pat and he had the stick in that same hand. The dog didn't look or act frightened, didn't cower.
Yeah.... That's the way you get Border Collies to work...BEAT THEM!!
NO! He didn't "SERIOUSLY" hit the dog. In fact, he didn't hit the dog at all! That was obviously an "atta girl" positive reinforcement. Border Collies are a very sensitive breed, and any handler of this caliber would know hitting them would be counterproductive! You need to take your "bleeding heart" to the cardiologist for a calibration! 😳
nah don't stress, I know the guy personally, he was reaching for a pat cause the job was done but he was a bit out of reach XD
you boofhead!!
- The gap is .9 of a metre
- How in the world did that get determined?
- I don't know
- You guys are quirky as hell
There's a reason why imperial measurements evolved naturally and it's a shame kids like these presenters are not even aware of them.
i think he meant 'how did you determine that that was the correct width for the gap to be why not some other measurement'
The rules of this game are stupid
Go vegan and stop wearing leather and wool. The dogs are brilliant but I think this is an old art, not necessary in modern times. Use these beautiful, intelligent dogs for some other tasks that will be even more rewarding for the dogs and demonstrate even more of their intelligence.
I'm having lamb for dinner because of your comment. I was going for pizza but just told the wife we've upgraded to the steakhouse.
@@johnspencer3994 and? This is kinda messed up the sheep pissed itself they're really friendly creatures this would be cooler with cows bc they're stubborn sheep are easy to move therefore this isn't as cool.
@@johnspencer3994 It's your karma and your arteries, not mine. I'm 60 and doing just fine.
I’ll tell my meat rabbits and goats you gave your condolences
@@Displaynamenotavailable My condolences to you upon your arteriosclerosis.
I learned soooo much🙏💝😘🕯🕯🕯🕯🙏
