I like to watch these to remind me that my collie is difficult because she's just bored living in a house with a modest yard, and not because there are demons in her blood.
Yeah. I love watching border collies doing what they are born to do - herd. And if you can’t provide that to your dog you must occupy him/her in another way.
My little dachshund black and tan watches this like a grown man watches football. I absolutely love watching him getting so hype for it. He’s a sport dog in his own mind.
Score - 100! He is driving a unit of 5 sheeps, and each sheep has a will. The grounds he is working is new to him. I may deduct points from the sheeps, if there is any deductions. Scoring is actually unnecessary. Be proud of dog!
It’s a thing border collies can specifically do as their breed has special shoulder blades that have a bigger space between them compared to other breeds that allow them to crouch and run, called stalking. Meaning they are more like cats in that aspect, but it makes them really good at what they do, herd sheep.
I’ve never heard Gaelic spoken, and was trying to figure out what language it was. Logically, I knew it was likely Gaelic, but I never thought it would have so many guttural words. I’m glad I finally got to hear it.
It's so much better to see these dogs working, doing what they are meant to do, instead of languishing at the end of a leash with some apartment dwelling dweeb who only takes the dog out to the coffee shop
Feel free to ignore the centuries of selective breeding and training by the most talented, careful and caring people ever to walk this earth. Sky Fairies have and, have had, no involvement in the skills this amazing dog has learnt and perfected.
the language is scots Gaelic for anyone who is wondering. It's a very ancient language, from the time of the picts and the romans.
welsh
lovely and gaelic.
knew iit the moment I heard clywed
at first I thought it was Norse but I recognized it from my grandpa, his parents came from Scotland

Uh thank you, I thought it was Welsh. Amazing variety of languages in our old Europe. So fascinating.

My two Goldens have demons, too, but I bet your Collie's demons are smarter.

Thank you! I love to watch working dogs!
Honestly - staggering! Both: and dog's intellect and ability of human to rase such a dog! Amazing! ❤️

0:21: Are Skid's feet touching the ground, or is he just sort of gliding over it really fast?

I wish I was that guy, or that dog. My life is nothing but chaos.
Muito lindo 👏
i wonder if, when Skid gets real low to the ground, if he does that so he can see the legs of each individual sheep and keep count.

Great dogs
Formidable
these dogs enjoy working, if the dog does not enjoy it, it will not be a good herding dog, and they work for dog food thats cheap ?
Fucking love collieflowers
I could have used one of those dogs when I had sheep.
