I watched another rescue dog agility online at one point. Not the same one as here. The dogs were not being timed on their run. It was stated at the beginning of the competition that show was meant to be not about competition, but rather just what you said here. That even rescues have potential and talent.
I was tearing up so much I had to stop watching. What wonderful people to give these dogs so much love, attention, exercise, training, and contact. Absolutely marvelous. Moved me to tears. I do rescue work and rehab wild animals too.
My all-time favourite was Kratu. He had such fun playing games with his trainer and had me in stitches. Chips comes a close second. Rescue animals are wonderful and don't deserve to be abandoned. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
We adopted a little Lhasa Apso dog from our local no-kill shelter, and he came with biting issues. With lots of consistency, patience, and love, he's gotten over lots of his fears and no longer wants to bite. He's my little snuggle buddy now. Rescue is the same with people: we all just need to feel safe and secure to bring out our best sides.
Really enjoyed seeing this. Lovely to see the rescues. They are hard work but so worth it. Rescues are bursting at the seams and I can testify that agility is the best fun ever and persuading a dog to follow the course is a brilliant way to help develop a happy and bonded relationship.
Just a quick tip for anyone with an excitable dog that struggles to focus: After each obstacle, give the command to sit. Then, walk up to your dog, give them a treat or reward, and move on to the next obstacle. This approach helps your dog reset mentally after each challenge, and it also gives you time to catch up if you have a fast dog. If this goes well, you can switch the command to "stay," but keep in mind that "stay" can be tougher because most dogs love agility and have a lot of adrenaline running through their veins. Another great trick, especially for border collies, is kicking a soccer ball away and letting the dog bring it back by pushing it, which is similar to treibball but without a goal. Controlling the ball over longer distances is mentally exhausting for dogs, which makes them more likely to follow your commands afterward. And most importantly, remember to have fun! I like to spice up agility training by adding some doggy dance/heelwork commands like turn, twist, roll, and bow between obstacles.
I think this would be a fun activity for my Jack Russells. But I always thought I couldn't do it: running around, shouting and giving signs like cracy. Distress at its finest! These handlers, especially the elderly man with the second dog and the two ladies in the mobile carts, showed me a different way to do this sport. Maybe I should give it a try 😊
This is great to watch!! With the slower motion, you can actually see how these dogs are trained. And so cute that their reward isn’t a food treat, but their favorite ball or toy! With the more advanced dogs that go so fast, I wondered how they were trained. I just love it when the dogs go through the weave poles, and when they are so excited and barking their excitement!!! Great fun!!!
I was utterly captivated watching these rescues working together with their rescuers! So warming to my heart knowing how dedicated these people are to not only giving them a home but to being so involved in their lives. 😊❤
❤O.M.G they had a " RUFF" life God bless 🙌 🙏 ' em Been watching Mr, O' Gradys, Battersea Rescue for years 😀 Mr, O Grady, 😢R .I.P.sir🎉U put Battersea ,pets,rescue ....😊ON THE MAP/GLOBE❤😊
All my dogs have been "rescues", dogs are dogs and wonderful they are. But it gives one pause to think what they are rescued from - i.e. humans. The commentary mentions thousands in one organisation...how can we bear the shame of what we do?
I have two mini dachshunds. They are extremely agile. When ever their food bowls are place on their their eating mat they will jump over or go around anything to get to them.
7:09 Tivuron?? Please let me know this beauty's name. My english is not good enough to catch his/her name. I mean.. what an intelligent dog! The owner barely moved her mobile cart. She didn't need to. I hope they would do this agility thing seriously.. they can? As long as they want it?
Very poor camera work and editing. Why are we seeing shots of the handlers instead of the dogs? Why are the cameras so slow in tracking the action? Fail.
What a great way to demonstrate that rescue dogs, even older ones, are NOT damaged and can learn new behaviors and become amazing pets. TY
Absolutely true.❤❤
❤❤❤❤
On my 9th regimes or rescued dog as an adult. 8 were amazing, loving and lots of fun! One wasn’t bad. I’m very biased towards the rescues!

This is my favorite category - I love watching dogs be themselves and have fun even if they miss all the hurdles :D
All my dogs have been rescues. They’ve rescued me, too. Such absolutely wonderful, loving, loyal, goofy dogs!

Me too. I had to keep pausing to dry my eyes. And love on my pups
I wish I could give a 'Like' for every pupper. So adorable.
I love Crufts! Thank you for highlighting rescue dogs and mixed breeds. All dogs are lovely and well-deserving of a family ❤
The teams on the mobility scooters and their rescues are examples of human-canine partnerships overcoming obstacles. Kudos, teams; well done!

Kratu was an absolute legend.
I can't choose between Kratu and Ollie (the JRT) as my #1
@@LHLMaESame! Those two were so funny!
I love Ollie too!
@@littlebear274 Thank you so much! Love from Kratu
I think there's a trampoline under the floor. That's the only explanation for the heights Fergus reached. 😅

So great to see Berty ( he was featured on UK Doghouse) !!!! What a lovely dog. ❤
With some of these dogs my imagination goes wild and all I can hear is..."Wheeee"

Fergus can always be trusted to put on a good show.
Rescues are beautiful dogs. They’re amazing.

They living their best life!
Every one of these beautiful dogs was a pleasure to watch.
POMS!!! So special. They will steel your heart.
I was hoping for an encore performance from Ollie, but these dogs were just amazing. Well done, you.
For some reason he hasn’t done rescue dog agility for ages.
Yeah Ur correct hes not done it for a few years now. His owner told me she wasn't entering him the last 2 years
Whenever I'm in need of a warm fuzzy, I play the Ollie clips. Still makes me laugh, especially the A-frame. The commentator added to it too!
@@sheilaboston7051 Me too.
one of my favorite part of this event :=) 2nd puppy has a great talent. his jumping is amazing 😊❤
Loved the Pomeranian!!!!

Every Little Baby was a True Exceptional Winner!! Hats off To Each and All!! Truly Lovely And Majestic!!❤❤
why am i crying watching these lovely pups...?
This just makes me smile
I love so much that they included a reactive dog - as a reactive dog mama they're often so misunderstood and I could have cried watching this boy.
they are all amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wonderful dogs with their human companions.
This is just awesome. What a joy ! Dogs are the best, even (or especially) mutts.
This was great fun! Even more so with the dogs that we’re just doing their thing.
The Belgian Tervuren! My breed! So proud to see this beauty giving such great support to someone with a handicap!

Loving this.
Rescue dogs have more love to give❤
very well❤
두번째 아이는 할아버지를 얼마나 좋아하는지 떨어질줄을 모르네요😊
Sad how empty the stands are for the rescued & most loved of all the dogs.
A great display by Valgrays Rescue, Wood Green and Battersea.
LOL. Helicopter tail to give extra lift
Crufts is so much more entertaining than the stodgy Westminster Dog Show. There's no laughs there.
진짜 감동

German Wikipedia says: Tervueren.
One of four varieties of Belgian Shepherds:
Groenendael
Laekenois
Malinois
Tervueren
Hope this helps 😊
😅❤!
Stop showing the people! I want to see more dog! lol
Love to watch them, but please don’t talk over the official talker. She had interesting things to say, too.
All dogs are lovely, rescued, with breed, mutt, disabled, anything.
jump scrambler 😂

The double cometAry is really annoying - can't gear either clearly. shame - spoils the clip

We see the dogs too.
