I found this very satisfying and entertaining. I used to watch the show with my parents back in the 1980's, the skill of both man and dog always fascinated me as a child. And it fascinates me now as an adult. R.I.P. Johnny, you were clearly a master of your chosen art.
He reminds me of my Tessie. I could see those moves in her too. She lived to be 16.2 yrs. Loved to herd ducks and geese; hens, roosters, and me of course. She and her son, JackBNimble, also loved to play soccer, catch balls and frisbee and go for walkies with us. Very sweet and intelligent-and strong. R.I.P. Johnny
i used to watch this show years ago when it was on BBC2. I live in Canada now and sadly, there is nothing like this over here. I loved watching this clip and Spot and the owner, Johnny was such a magnificent team. Almost make it look easy!
Loved this show when I was a kid. We wanted the Scots to win and my dad loved.a Colie with a curly tail, they are kind of funny. It's always amazing to watch these hillmen and the lovely dogs..
I don't remember a day in my life we didn't have Border Collies. Either one of four or five, each had it's job to do and they did it well. Peace be with the patient handler and the devoted partner who make their world come round.
Wow that was crazy. It blew my mind. Especially the part when the dog herded the sheep. Riveting television. ....but actually this kind of makes me want to watch Babe now :) haha
I had no idea this even existed. I ran across it while browsing and it sounded boring and uneventful, and here I am watching the whole 7 minutes and finding it fascinating how well the man and dog work as a team. It's like listening to golf commentators but with sheep as the ball. the dog as the golfer and the man as the caddie.
I bet the dog loves every second of his work.
I used to love one man and his dog when I was a kid. Such a shame we have drifted away from our rural roots

Spot did it as it was meant to be done. Beautiful dog that could have entered the show ring! Johnny and him were the complete partnership.
tremendously satisfying when the dog and the shepherd can work together as one, with end result for all to see
Thank you for this. Used to watch with my dad when i was young. I believe that he used to train collies when he was young.
I am like catching my breath watching that brilliant collie ran so furiously fast....Amazing Dog!
Loved that program, so relaxing.

Rest in peace, Johnny...they say everyone dies on their best day. Few ever have a day so grand as this for you and Spot.
What a marvel to see.

"Johnny says take time, which means take your time." XD Love it. Beautiful run.
Amazing skill and craftsmanship. Beautiful and incredible human being.

Good dog.
That was a thing of beauty for sure. Cattle dogs arent quite so tactful.
My parents dog Ben (RIP) a border collie went mad on this show lol
loved this, now to hobby some sheep and herd

Nicely done
Boy that's some dog.
Interesting abt driving sheep uphill vs downhill. Thank you.
Moss my border collie just watched in bed on my ipad
News flash: "bitch" is the traditional name of a female dog. It is inappropriate to censor "bitch" in the closed captioning.
Right you are.
Ja mam takiego psa border collie, tylko nie mam owiec. Na gwizd reakcja jest natychmiastowa. A na kwnięcie dłonią daje głos. Taki jest.

When animals ten times better than working people
I love this❤ Can I watch this program sequence in UK??
The BBC do not televise the competition any more.
At the trials do they mix the sheep up or use the same sheep over and over?
How the heck do you train a dog to do that?
It's mostly instinct mate you just need them to learn the directions of whistles and commands
You guide the instinct
Great to see this show back in 2020, with the public as the sheep. Wear this muzzle, BAAAAA... Don't leave your home after 10pm, BAAAAAA.....
I have same dog he can menages anything exept talking to me
🆒️
I hope he was saved and knew Jesus Christ.
